The hotel is a very busy and located near enough to O'Hare to be a rest over for a variety of the travelling public.
The hotel is good value for money and all the amenities are typical of this range of hotels.
The staff are very helpful, and overall, apart from the dinner experience, everything was pretty much what I have come to expect after numerous stays at this hotel.
However, I like to eat my dinner in the relative peace and quiet of a restaurant. This hotel has a restaurant and a very busy bar next to each other, and the service staff at dinner direct people to the bar for ease of service, and whilst not actually refusing to seat people in the restaurant, make it perfectly clear that they do not wish you to be seated there. May seem a petty thing, but dinner is a time for me to unwind, review the days business, and eat my meal in relative peace.
To me this is a game changer. Even though my company recommend this hotel, I have the ability to choose any hotel that I want in the area. I may have to do just that. I will be back in the area at the end of March, and I am not sure yet where I will be staying.

Got stuck because of a winter storm- stayed here using corporate rate- they charged my personal card 3x. It happens- I called to dispute and was argued with by front desk. Told their billing department works OVERNIGHT, so I had to leave a message. Gave it 3 days- ONE of the three was credited back. Called again- same treatment (new person), same runaround.
I have filed a chargeback on my credit card and a complaint with IHG.
As for the room and property, mediocre at best. I stay over 100 nights a year in hotels and this is in my bottom 5, not just for treatment, but property and staff.

The bed(mattress) was very comfortable. The Bathroom was a little small. When you used the toilet the door was very close to the comode and was very uncomfortable.

I was greatly disappointed in the room quality of this hotel. The service was phenomenal and my wife was singing their praises. We used this hotel as a park and fly. While we were gone, a snow and ice storm came through. I returned home separately and when my pregnant wife and toddler came back, the hotel staff cleared her car and provided her with a free meal.
Unfortunately, despite the wonderful lobby and great swimming pool, the rooms have not been maintained. The only thing modern in the room was the television. There were holes in the walls, the beds were sunken in and uncomfortable. The bathroom felt grungy from lack of general upkeep and the towels felt like they'd been washed 1000+ times and were rough and worn. The wash cloth even had holes in it. To plug in my phone, I had to unplug the clock to free up an outlet next to the bed.
Despite the excellent customer service, I will probably not return simply because the room wasn't worth the price.
