Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Good value and friendly staff I have stayed at Holiday Inn Elmira Riverview several times since my son visited then began attending Elmira College. The staff at the hotel has been friendly and helpful on every visit and this was no exception. I arrived after midnight and a long drive and the front desk receptionist was friendly and checked me in efficiently even that late. At some hotels when that happens the staff is busy doing other things and you have to wait - who needs that late at night? I ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was just what I needed - they have a healthy option plate with an egg, toast and fresh fruit that was perfect. Hot coffee was plentiful. They might consider providing real cream and not single-serving Coffeemate, but obviously this is a minor complaint. Keep up the good work providing a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay in Elmira! February 22, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude staff and not very clean Hallways were dirty where we stayed, did not sleep well due to mattress. Booked room for 4 people and breakfast was to be included. Only got two tickets and NO where did it state that when Ibooked. Each ticket was $11 each. Staff told my daughter to stand in the hall by herself at the age of 9. Heard other famlies complan about the breakfast tickets and they let their kids in because it wasnt so busy. Satff was rude. I work for a large hospital corporation and customer service should always be taken seriously. We travel alot with large groups. Not pleased at all with my stay here. February 4, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay for the local wine tasting event. Only problem was that they did not have a shuttle to get us to the local arena. It is located less than a mile away from the hotel and they had a hired shuttle which was charging $15 per person R/T to the event. We hired a cab that got 4 of us there and back for $14 total. Seems the hotel should have a free shuttle to get folks to events and restaurants within a reasonable distance. January 28, 2015
