On the evening of my arrival, we discovered the shower didn't work. The maintainance man (forgot his name) was prompt, aplologetic and helpful. The shower could not be fixed til morning, so he immediatly provided us with a key to another room. The shower was fixed in the morning. In the restaurant, Jim was efficient and friendly with our large dinner crowd. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. All in all, a great experience, looking forward to returning!

I have been assigned to work location in this general area and have been frequenting this property. The staff always recognizes me by name and always exceeds my expectations. As a business traveler I stay in lots of places, this by far exceeds most by the service standard their management has set for guest service agents. Definitely recommended for leisure or business and conveniently located to Enfield shopping area or Springfield.

Stayed here for a weekend and according to the website there is a hot tub.. there is not. It is filled in with dirt and has a tree in it. That was definitely a disappointment. The staff were extremely accomodating especially the staff that had to handle the pool towels. there were so many kids when we stayed due to a dance competition in town that the pool towels continually needed to be replenished. I did have to come down to the desk twice to finally get fresh towels for our room, when we didn't have maid service one of the days, but the staff comp'd my breakfast the next morning for my troubles. All in all very comfortable hotel and bedding. Staff were very helpful.

This is my regular hotel when in the area visiting family. As usual, the staff were friendly and helpful. But, I was disappointed to learn that the hot tub has been turned into a "planter" instead of being repaired. (It was out of service on my last visit.) I hope it is in future plans to repair it because I really look forward to relaxing in it after a long drive.

I stay at this hotel very often and have been coming here since the tornado on 6-1-2011 and every stay has been great. The rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need in it. Microwave ,fridge and ironing board all in your room. I used the gym and the indoor swimming pool on my last stay and they both where great. If you have to stay in the area this is the place to stay. The bar is cozy and the food is good. My son even got warm homemade cookies when we checked in. Thanks to the all the staff that go out of there way to make sure my son and I are comfortable and feel at home every time way come back. Thanks for having such a great staff.

Our room was perfect - large & comfortable with everything we needed such as a comfortable bed, working room temp controls, quiet, good internet connection, refrigerator & lots of closet space. Our safe broke with valuable in it & we had to wait until the next day for staff available to fix it. Our second day, housekeeping did not clean our room so we had to call to have it done. They did respond quickly however. The worst feature was breakfast. The "hot buffet" was cold both mornings. Cold eggs are not good. We ordered off the menu the 3rd morning & that was great. We would stay here again though because overall it was very nice & a great location.

This employee Deserves to be recongnized I am a platinum member and stay in holiday Inns all across the United States and By far he has been one of the most memorable staff members for me!
Especially When I was at the hotel for the Storm Nemo
kept me posted with travel.

I find this hotel to be more worried about the Air crews then the regular Travelers, After arriving at the Airport from Florida to a cold 18 degree ,There was no place to call the hotel. The gentlemen at info booth made the first call. After wating 45 minutes and no Van ,he called again was told that they are busy with flight crews. Another 45 minutes passed as 3 of waited for a Van to pick us up. Finally a 3rd call from one other Guest they informd us the Van was on the way. 15 minutes past and a unmarked Van showed up.. WE finally arrived at the hotel after over a 1and half hour wait. I think this is unacceptable to THREAT YOUR GUEST in this manner.

steve, the breakfast chef, presents a most delicious breakfast - his bacon is THE BEST, very crispy - perfectly prepared. the assortment of breakfast items on the buffet is remarkable, and because it was included with the room, is the best bargain out there.
megan at the front desk was attentive, and able to answer any question that i posed to her with astute knowledge.
i have stayed at this hotel many times in the last 6 months - each time is a special treat - i plan on staying here many more times.
thank you to the entire staff for a job well done!!!!

Very nice hotel. Making nice strides to improve property.
With menu for restaurant was a little more extensive. But current menu food quality is excellent. Breakfast has a little more to be desired though.
Internet service is excellent.

Not a bad place to stay. The staff is great and will take you in a hotel van to local places to eat and the airport. The rooms are ok, large with sofa to relax on and a microwave with mini fridge. The bathrooms are a bid old and outdated but are in acceptable condition. The hotel itself is not bad the hotel restaurant has a good menu and the food is average priced and restaurant quality.

The hotel is run down. It is in major need of remodeling and updating.
Dining room staff needs training. Front desk staff was excellent and the rest of the staff I had contact with was very good..
This was my second stay as I did not want past judgement based on one visit. I had better comfort at several Holiday Inn Express than at this Hotel.
I would rather stay at the Hampton Inn in Enfield than stay at this hotel again or go up the highway to Springfield, Ma in the future.

504 was a clean and well keeped room stocked as it should be the houskeeping was very good. The room was a large room, It had a King size ( what I asked for) there was enough empty space to put another bed in there so the room was not a warm place to relax there was nearly an echo. I felt as if I was in a large storage area they happen to put accomidations for sleeping in with a TV and love seat. The bathroom was very small and the closet area was larger than the bathroom.

The rooms were nice, and very comfortable, however there was an issue with the showers. I had two rooms and both of them experienced the same issue - you have to turn the temp regulator all the way over to the on to get hot water, and it was only tepid. Also the hotel was very busy and there was not really enough seating for the breakfast with that many people there eating. Also the food was not hot, and some of the fruit was spoiled (and it came from a can).

Got a last minute stay at the Holiday Inn, thanks to Hurricane Sandy, but could only stay one night given sold out booking levels. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Hotel had undergone substantial (and ongoing) renovations. The room was very nice, newly re-furnished, clean and comfortable, although the smallness, old small tile, and a tub drip in the bath gave the age of the hotel away. Given the current renovation work in the hotel restaurant, we received a free breakfast buffet, another nice surprise. I asked for extra pillows when making the reservation and they were in our room when we arrived! On the minus side, room soundproofing seems a little thin, and hall noise carries. We were awoken with the electrical workers leaving at 5:30 am the next day, deciding to use the outside stairwell to bring down their wheeled luggage. Thump! Thump! Thump! for two floors......staff was apologetic but not much they could do at that juncture. I would recommend, especially if the room not near a stairwell, or renovations are completed. Oh, and the large indoor pool looked very inviting, but alas, we had no time to use it.

Easy access to the private floor, quiet room in the back of the hotel.
One short flight of stairs and we were in. Breakfast was nice with bacon, eggs, potatoes, sausage, fruit etc.

Light fixture broken and had to be replaced. Thermostat broken so had to manually turn on and off AC. Bathroom with dirt and hair on floor. I've been staying at this property for years and I never had these problems when Crown Plaza owned the property.

Staff was exceptional, breakfast buffet was wonderful. Room was comfortable but bathroom is very old (the ceiling was very discolored) - that's the only negative about the whole experience. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone.

This property needs a complete renovation from top to bottom. I was told they were going totally Non- Smoking when I arrived. Can't have guests possibly smelling smoke but the entire place smelled like a wet dog when I walked into the lobby. Was treated very unprofessionally by the staff while checking in with no mention or any type of recognition for being a Platinum member. Did recieve vouchers for a free cold breakfast? It was $5 more to upgrade to the Buffet which I did do on the first day and found it to be disgusting. Carpets, furniture, and rooms in general are out dated and stained. Won't be staying here again when in the area on business!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Enfield, CT, for three nights because my sister blocked a bunch of rooms there for her wedding.
The hotel room was comfortable enough, but the staff and the policies were obnoxious.
I've NEVER had to pre-pay a night in a hotel room before (and I've stayed in some pretty questionable places), and was shocked to have to put my first night's payment down at check-in.
We went to the hotel restaurant for the breakfast buffet the first morning we were there and were approached by three different staff members for payment during our meal. We were also asked how two different groups of children were paying for their meals; we did not know the children.
I did use the fitness center, and while I was pleasantly surprised to find heavy dumbbells (ranging up to 50 pounds), I was unhappily surprised that there were no weights ranging from 9-19 pounds, and the treadmill was not able to handle race or sprint speeds, so I wound up running outside in the rain instead.
Overall, I can't recommend the Holiday Inn in Enfield, CT. The value was simply not there, particularly with respect to the service we received.

I enjoyed staying here. Even though it was in Conn, close to all the attractions in Springfield, MA, like the Basketball Hall of Fame and Springfield museums. Plenty of parking close to the entrances.

We had help from the Holiday Inn l-800 staff to make these reservations, and we were very pleased. The reception staff both at check in and check out were extremely helpful and very friendly. The two ladies when checking out were very accommodating in helping us make a reservation for the next nights stay.
The restaurant was disappointing. Saturday night and we were the only customers at the time, and no surprise. The soup was warm - not hot. My sandwich was overdone. We have stayed at this property in the past (while still part of another hotel chain) and were pleased with the restaurant then.
Rooms showed some wear and tear, but they were clean and well appointed.

We were visiting Six Flags and decided to stay over at this Holiday Inn. When I initially called, Robert , was very helpful to ensure that we had two adjoining rooms and that my son, who is handicap, was comfortable. When we arrived we were treated very well. We were able to get a discount for breakfast. The only issues were that the indoor pool way to warm and the resteraunt needs updating.

Have stayed here almost weekly for 3 months. While the staff is friendly, the property needs to be upgraded. Different problems occur almost weekly:
- tub plumbing not functioning well
- toilet not flushing completely
- desk lamp missing
- door does not open with key
In addition, there seems to be no consistent houselcleaning standards. The room is usually done reasonably well, but inconsistently
- a different number of towels left
- soap is not replaced
- pillows are not put back on the bed
- bathmat taken and not replaced
- plastic cups are not replenished
