The staff are very friendly and helpful; the holidome is a great place for fun on any day but especially on rainy days. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Close to Six Flags! Love the shuttle service to/from Six Flags. That was the sole reason we stayed at Holiday Inn Six Flags. The downside of the hotel was that it only had 2 queen beds with no pullout couch. Most standard rooms that size have a pullout sofa. There were no rooms that had sleeping arrangements for families of 5, you either had to purchase a rollaway bed or try to squeeze everyone in 2 beds. Overall our experience was fine. Our kids were so exhausted from their time at Six Flags that they just fell asleep quickly. August 8, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was Robotic and does not Smile We are frequent travelers and are always polite and excited to stay in hotels. The staff, from the check in desk to the restaurants (dinner and breakfast buffet), was "robotic" and even rude at times. The entire hotel needs a remodel and there was poison ivy growing out of the bushes by our room. This place was set up (in the early 1990's) to be a really cool place. Even with it's extreme age, it was mostly kept up and could have been a wonderful stay for us to visit Six Flags, but the staff ruined it for us and we will not return. I am a new reward member and this was definitedly not what I expected from this franchise chain. August 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Me and my two girls took a vaction to Six Flags in St Louis. Staff at the front desk was excellent and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I slept very well The children loved the indoor pool and the shuttle bus to the park. The park tickets discount was so helpful and great. The food was really good but a little high. I know kids eat free but only one of mine was able to eat for free.We are already planning on our next year trip and plan to stay again. August 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great location We were visiting Six Flags for the day. Were very happy that the hotel was close by and that it had a shuttle. Service at early check-in was great and helpful. Express check-out also great. Enjoyed the pool in the evening. Ordered pizza and salad for the pool side restaurant, which was quick and tasty. Room was clean and comfortable. Only think lacking was complimentary breakfast. I understand that kids eat free, but our kids are already 16 and 14 so not a great savings for us there. We do hope to visit again and would definitely recommend this location to others. August 3, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Staff, Average Hotel If you are mainly concerned about being in close proximity of Six Flags and having the convenience of a free shuttle ride to the park then I would recommend this hotel. The pool area was very nice and the kids really enjoyed playing there. I thought this would be a reasonably priced stay considering the hotel offers a "kids eat free" stay with an adult paid meal. However, your not told that the adult meals are ridiculously price for the mediocre meal you get. If you just want to order a simple meal like a cheeseburger and fries then your out of luck in the restaurant, you must order from the grill out by the pool area where the kids don't eat free. The reality is, the kids menu for the free meal is so extremely limited and taste more like frozen tv dinners. The only thing my kids wanted to eat there was the pancakes. The other meals he tried in his words were "yucky" or he said he was tired of eating that. The breakfast buffet was really good, but not almost $50 good as free kids meals were not included. That's a lot for adults and two small kids. We ended up going to other restaurants in the area where the food was cheaper, tasted much better and you had many more choices. Very dated. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay for Trip to Six Flags If your goal in searching for a hotel is to be near Six Flags St. Louis, this is the place. Less than a ten minute walk from room to front gate (we timed it), plus shuttles start running 30 minutes prior to gates opening. Not messing with or paying for parking is a big plus. They do not have complimentary breakfast, but they do have a restaurant serving breakfast, as well as a gas station and The World's Most Popular Fast Food Chain next to the facility for a quick grab. Several other restaurant chains are a short drive away, and nearby Eureka has local Mexican and fried chicken restaurants and a small winery that were all bustling. The building itself is older with an interesting bit of history, but rooms and public spaces are clean and serve the purpose. All staff was happy and helpful, environment is safe. You may notice a faint chlorine smell due to the large indoor pool in the Fundome (also has video games, air hockey, pool table, pseudo-mini-golf, shuffleboard), but it is not bothersome and only noticeable upon initial entry. If your kids love the hotel pools, you will not be disappointed. Staff does not allow running or horseplay, so kids are safe. It can be busy during peak times, but we counted 40ppl in the pool one evening and it was not overly cramped. Poolside bar is reasonable and overlooks the pool if that fits your vacation bill. They also sell park tickets at rates slightly better than online offerings. If kids having fun is the priority, don't hesitate! August 1, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to stay & WALK to 6 Flags The front lobby of this hotel is awesome. Rooms are average, but priced above average. No microwave or mini-fridge that are available in most rooms for this price. My two favorite features were the restaurant and the ability to walk to the 6 Flags amusement park. Even though we had gold passes and parking would have been free, we saved a lot of time making the pleasant walk each day. There's a pond and several resident geese...it was nice. Even though there is no complimentary breakfast, Kids under 10 or 12 do eat free with paying adult, which helps budget. July 31, 2013

The décor is so fun - it seemed like we were staying inside Cinderella's Castle at Disney World. I kept taking photos of the hotel to show everyone how great it was. There is a wonderful activity area for kids and family with game room, hot tub and heated indoor pool. Staff could not be more friendly! Free Shuttle to Six Flags across the street. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding staff and relaxing stay First of all, Carol, at the front desk who worked from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. was phenomenal! She set us up with a rollaway bed and signed us up for the Rewards Club. She also advised us about the St. Louis Zoo and gave us maps, directions, and tips. The room was more than adequate for the five of us and the only little bump was an uncomfortable rollaway bed. We were close to the pool and enjoyed it immensely. We felt safe and secure the entire time we were visiting. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious and came in a timely manner even though they were quite busy. We mostly did it for the "kids eat free" and the shuttle service to Six Flags. The best part about the deal was the shuttle. The drivers were AWESOME! Very professional, fun and friendly. The room-for the price-was average. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The bar was a nice added touch however, the bar tender(Female) was rude and unaccommodating when asking her for recommendations of wine. She seemed to act "put out" and they weren't even busy. Overall, if I get a deal, I would stay here again. The restaurant food was good. July 20, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great overall stay, with one exception We had a great stay at the hotel and going to Six Flags. The shuttle is excellent. The only complaint, we would have would be the lady that was working the pool area, was way too much like drill sergeant. My kids had on arm floaties and had a tiny little blow up toy, which she came over and immediately told them they couldn't have it. Um they are 6 and had no idea what she was talking about. She proceeded later to follow us around a lot and did this to several other people as well. The gentleman that worked the pool area during the night time was much more friendly and laid back and still performed his job well. She just needs to chill!! We will be back to visit the hotel soon and hope things are different in the fundome area. July 12, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great nights sleep. The hotel room was nice. I would have preferred things like a fan in the bathroom but that is just a small thing I could do without. I really looked forward to a relaxing time in the hot tub and sauna but that never happened. Kids were always swimming in the hot tubs and warming up in the saunas. We never did get to swim or use the above. That was very upsetting since I had planned on it. The worst thing was the food at the restaurant. I can't even begin to tell you how bad the service was let alone the food! They say kids eat free but you can't even get a cheeseburger, fries or hot dogs. We tried the mini pizzas and after the third attempt at getting our food right we paid the expensive tab and left. I had a plate full of tortilla chips with only two chips that had cheese. Disgusting all around. Overall I would still recommend this hotel because of the convenience and shuttle to Six Flags. July 8, 2013

I try to just make the best of any situation but this hotel was bad and really brought the quality of our getaway down. The rooms are old, clean for the most part, but adequate at best. The location is really the best part of the entire place. Just steps from the main gates of six flags. The beds were horrible, the doors were extremely difficult to shut and stuck terribly. After a long day the kids and I just wanted a hot meal and to relax. I promise there will be no relaxing down by the pool and hot tub, the amount of people and screaming kids was insane but that I guess is to be expected, however the food, you would be better off to walk across the street to McDonalds. We went to the restaurant the décor is almost gross, very dated and dingy and that was the best part. I ordered Chicken Fried Chicken, it was undercooked and so greasy I didn't even taste it, my daughter had a bowl of chili and it was nothing more than canned tomatoes water and chili powder. It was awful. My sons nachos looked liked nachos and may have even been decent however they were so cold, like they finished making them before they started cooking the rest of our order or something and sat them in a cooler. None of us were able to eat. I informed our waitress I would gladly pay for our drinks, and my side salad so she went to get the manager. Apparently he had taken a walk or something they couldn't find him then finally after several minutes called him on his cell phone and after several more minutes he arrive. I was fuming by this time so it was a good thing he was extremely nice. He took care of the bill and asked if he could make us anything else, I mentioned I would just call dominoes pizza and he suggested we get a pizza from the eatery close to the pool. He met us out there only charged me half price, we ordered a large supreme and they offered to deliver it to our room in thirty minutes, I left a healthy tip in the jar on the counter and we went to our room. They did deliver the pizza but it was an hour later not thirty minutes and not really all that great. The toppings and sauce were fine but the crust was like a unsalted cracked but at least we had something in our belly. The staff was fine but I feel the hotel was overpriced and under par. The staff the we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. I believe her name was Sandra recommended 2 great restaurants for us. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and game room at the hotel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Six Flags or another reason for your visit? It makes a difference. If you are choosing this place to be near Six Flags, it's great. If you're in the area for some other reason, it's pretty pricey for what you get. Not bad, but what you're paying for is the location. The grounds and the buildings are attractive, the room was clean, and nothing caused real problems. But the a/c blower didn't adjust below full gale strength and the bed was pushed right up against it so that the window curtains billowed over the bed continually. Breakfast was ordinary, the staff was friendly, but the cost was quite high for what we got. Coffee in the room was appallingly weak. June 25, 2013

We enjoy the restaurant, the pizza bar, the indoor pool, and the arcade. Even tho you will pay more to stay here, it is definitely worth the extra cost when you factor in all the perks of staying here! June 14, 2013
