Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel but needs just a little TLC Overall this is an older hotel that has been fairly well taken care of. There were a few maintenance items that need to be addressed. The toilet did not flush properly in my room, the key reader did not function properly and there were multiple bugs and spiders at the rear entrance. Again, I would stay again as I realize these are all just little things that can easily be fixed and are common in so many older hotels. These minor items were worth dealing with in exchange for a nice, relaxing bar downstairs. You so rarely find hotels with bars inside them anymore so that was a welcome thing! October 27, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, up to date facility. Good value. Clean, up to date facility. Good value. While not in a scenic location, it is conveniently located near airport. We stay in Evansville several times a year, this will likely be our "go-to" Evansville hotel in the future. October 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Overall Exceptional front desk customer service! I return mostly because of the friendly people at the front desk. Tamara always greets me with a smile and exceptional service! Comfy beds, nice towels, good pool and hot tub area, and an adequate work-out room is the positives. We had a good stay, and we continue to return to this hotel. If you want a quiet room, ask. The balcony rooms overlooking the pool area are nice, but do not provide quiet evenings. The bar/lounge is not customer friendly. We never did get service on any of our stays. The ladies in the breakfast area are efficient and keep the food stocked, warm and the tables cleaned off. There is room for improvement in the rooms as far as updates, such as bathroom fans installed and counters fixed, but overall good for the price and not a huge inconvenience. October 16, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No more stays at this property After being on the road for two weeks I was looking forward to my family get-together in Evansville so that I could actually unpack my suitcase. Upon arrival, we checked in and found our room, 234, unpacked and relaxed on the comfortable bed. We went out to dinner and returned about 10 pm. First notice of a problem was that though our door was completely closed, we were able to hear another guest use the ice machine quite a way down the hall. When we turned the lights out, light was coming in from around the door other than the hinge side. The weather stripping was completely worn out and ineffective. The next morning we bought ear plugs. The buffet was good and well tended by the staff. Our room was reasonable and was kept clean with daily visits by the maid. Our biggest problem was the final night of our stay: A kids pool party. With probably 75-80 kids and adults in the pool and atrium area, there was no peace. The party lasted until just after 10 pm. I was told that a bunch of rooms were booked and the party was spontaneous; rather questionable as the hotel provided tables for the food brought in and refreshments. Many adults and children were arriving through the back parking lot door and leaving after 10 pm through the same doors, so were obviously not guests of the hotel. My family and I won't use this facility again. October 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Property Great but Pool in wrong place for me This is a beautiful and exciting property. The staff and service were excellent. My only problem was the pool located in the center of the lobby. Yes, it was beautiful. However, I am very sensitive to chlorine. I made it through the first two nights with only a little sinus reaction, I upped my allergy medicine and was doing fairly well. Then, the third evening when we came back to the hotel, I was hit with a full blast of chlorine in the face upon entering the rear doors. I knew from having a pool growing up that they had shocked the pool with a mega dose of chlorine to kill off bacteria. It was our last night, so we didn't change hotels. That proved to be a mistake. The A/C system circulated chlorine throughout the hotel, and I awoke with a full fledged sinus infection and no voice. When we got home, I had to go onto antibiotics, and my voice is just now returning (3 weeks later). Most hotels put their indoor pools in a separate area or at least under glass. We will have to be more careful where we stay the next time we travel. October 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Leisure Stay A most enjoyable experience. Will stay here again. The only reason I did not rate the sleeping experience at the highest level is because I am used to sleeping on my "Sleep Number" bed. October 1, 2014
