Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tract19 Refreshing Family Night Away
Enjoyed our dinner at the Green Mill, some of the best service at a restaurant that I've had lately! Also, the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating! We have a great time away. The only downside was that our poolside room didn't have great sound proofing so when it was time to get the kids to bed it was hard since there was a lot of noise coming from the pool area. Convenience of a poolside room was great.... but comes with a price.

We have been going here for years. They treat us like family. Jason is a the best manager. He, as well as the rest working there are always making sure we are doing fine and have everything we need. Mark, kitchen manager, great too. Can't say enough about this place.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NewGranny Very thoughtful staff; great place with the grandkids!
I stayed for two nights with my grandson's wihle their baby sister was being born. All staff were so thoughtful. The maintenance man gave us a water toy that someone had left behind for our fun in the pool. The cleaning staff was curtious and helpful when we needed extra towels or had an early check in! The waiter, when the restaurant was closed took the time to get my grandson's some ice cream. The front desk staff all asked after the baby's birth and kept safe a couple of stuff animals that got left in the game room. The manager had a suitcase full of toys and allowed the boys to pick out one each; they were squelling with delight. We will continue to return.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rosco73 A place to hang out
This is the second time this month I have stayed here. This room was pretty good. I wish the double beds were queen sized.
I enjoyed my stay. We got in late and closed down the bar. The service in the bar was OK for drinks. No food available but to be fair it was almost midnight when we got there. There is a Perkins restuarant right next door where we got some food.
Fresh updates to the room. There were two new double beds and fresh paint and carpet. The room did not smell musty like it did the last time I was here. I wish the rooms were bigger and had a small refrigerator. The rooms are about 2/3 the size of a Holiday Inn Express and are packed full with the basics of bed and TV. For the price of a standard room I would expect a bit more.
I had a hard time finding the vending machines this time here. I followed the signs for ICE/VENDING and found ice and a washing machine. I had to roam almost to the front desk in order to get a beverage.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rosco73 Well planned but poorly staffed events
We stayed here at our local Holiday Inn for the New Years Eve comedy show and after party. We are regulars to the resteraunt and the comedy shows which are put on here during the colder months.
Just to be clear, the staff on duty is excellent. They are attentive and genuinly try to accomodate and fix issues. The problem is there just were not enough of them for the planned event.
When I entered the lobby for check-in there were eight people in front of me and only one person behind the counter. I saw her call for assistance three times before the manager arrived to assist. It took 45 minutes to check in due to volume. My room was ready and and I was checked-in in minutes once I got to the desk.
Dinner was a disaster. We were seated at 6:30 pm. We did not get our first drink for 45 minutes. It was busy, this is MN, no problem... Our Food arrived at the table at 8:10 pm. We have tickets to the comedy show at 9:30. My food was wrong. It was not even close to what I ordered. My Wife had ordered the chicken alfredo. It was cooked, gotten cold, cooked again and finally served to cold again. My step sons burger was seared and burned on the outside and raw hamburger in the middle. We sent all of this food back and just canceled our order because we have a show to get to and did not have time to wait. The Manager came and discussed our meal with us. She apologized repeatedly for the terrible food and comped our entire meal.
The comdey show was great, a nationally recognized comedian and we laughed and had a great time at the show. The waitress kept the drinks coming and the rest of the night went well except for being hungry.
The New Year countdown in the pool area came and went, the staff got everyone put to bed and there were no more issues the rest of the night.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sftr Old and tired accommodations.
The hotel in general an old structure that has been painted and given a mild facelift. My room smelled of old building age, there was no continental breakfast, the attached restaurant double billed my credit card, the room price was so high for the old place. The heat in my room was either
hot or cold, never consistent . I checked out a day early because I could not stand the musky smell of this old, tired hotel.

It is such a pleasure to arrieve in Fairmont, unpack, settled in and have a high quality meal without having to go out of the hotel. Also in the morning, to enjoy a good breakfast in a lovely setting, and be so close to the freeway...it is so easy.
Thank you to all the staff who go out of their way to create an atmosphere efficiency and friendliness. My room is so clean and quiet that I can truely rest after a long day on the road.
Thank you for this opportunity,
SLG
