Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very relaxing stay. Extremely pleased with the hotel Stayed for two nights with the girlfriend and daughter. Greeted at reception with a free drink (the alternative was points) and voucher for another at the bar later on. The hotel was very neat tidy and modern looking. Staff very helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Bar was a little expensive and the breakfast not worth how much they charge for it. It's a buffet so you can fill up if you're so inclined but the food wasn't that great. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, rooms could do with modernising Overall our stay was fantastic. The swimming pool and spa were lovely and we spent quite a bit of time there. Reception area, bar and lounge very nice. Room was comfortable but basic and has obviously not been updated for a while so could do with modernising. Food was very good and a fair (although not excellent) price. But a particular mention should be made of the staff, who were all excellent. Very helpful, very friendly and, above all, always smiling and always willing to make time for the guests. Thank you! July 30, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A perfect start to our Peppa Peg Adventure! We stopped here as a family of four the night before going to Peppa Pig world. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment that we walked through the door. We were particularly impressed with how attentive the waitresses were to our children during our meal. They made our children feel like very important visitors to the restaurant, giving them pirate and princess activity packs, balloons, showing them the childrens buffet, commenting on the activities they were doing and even dressing up as Peppa Pig to surprise them. All those little touches made our stay special. Not one restaurant has ever gone to such lengths to make our little people feel so welcome. July 28, 2015

The Holiday Inn has loads of facilities to make a couple of evenings away from home as comfortable as possible. The rooms are clean and tidy. I did find the lack of power sockets, especially at the bedside tables a bit of a bind especially with the need to charge phones etc. I ended up having to use the table lamp socket on the desk. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by George of the jungle As a mid-range hotel it meets most criteria: The chef's do try hard and the tasting table in the evening is a great touch. Improvements needed: The Internet service is very poor and 'out of date' with current trends. Where customers need to pay for faster speeds is out-dated, these faster services should be included in the room rate. The quality of fresh fruit with the breakfast is average and mostly tasteless. The front desk service is average with mostly one person on the desk and a queue of customers wanting to settle their bills. Surely this can be improved on at peak hours? It can take a long time in the evenings to get served at the bar. July 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good hotel with excellent staff The staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and charming. The restaurant manager, Alex, in particular was attentive, overhearing that my wife wanted porridge he made sure that she got it, and he worked particularly hard, especially when everyone turned up for breakfast at the same time! The rooms seem to have very good sound-proofing and the curtains let in very little light which made it easy to sleep. As usual with a Holiday Inn forgetting something like a face cloth was no disaster as one was quickly provided. Bed was perhaps a lttle too bouncy if someone turns over a lot in the night and one is not sleeping on one's own. Cleanliness everywhere very good. Don't know why everyone who stays in a Holiday Inn does not join the Rewards Club - always like the little extras! July 24, 2015
