Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent staff. Average room. Hallways and common area were very warm and damp feeling. Room was damp feeling also. All staff encountered were very friendly and excellent to deal with. I would suggest keeping doors closed to pool might help cut down on common areas being hot and damp. June 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Step back in time - old school The rooms vary with size, smells (non smoking rooms that smell like smoking), tv coverage is poor - sometimes channels fade out and no NBC sports, so no hockey play offs in the room. High turnover of staff and training is done in front of customers not to mention discipline shouted across the room from a supervisor. Rooms do not cater to business professionals staying more than one night, no frig or microwaves. Carpets remind me of the late 80's. No sense of pride from staff. Leadership is not visible. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay Enjoyed my stay overall. Had a room above the pool. The room was very humid, not hot just damp, even though I had the air conditioning on constantly. I believe it was because of the location next to the pool. The hot tub was the best. The coffee shop and location were new for my stay this time. Glad to see there were a few gift items available. I always enjoyed the gift shop when it was there. Now there is great coffee, too. For a convention this is a good location. Room service meals and service we were exceptional. May 25, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not all Holiday Inn's are alike Was surprisingly disappointed. I travel a great deal for business, and have stayed in numerous hotels over the years including Holiday Inn's in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and New Jersey. This Holiday Inn in Fargo, was below the standard I've come to expect. The biggest problem, was the front desk staff who were not very friendly, and did not make me feel welcome. In addition, was not very accommodating on a simple request of a late check out (I had work late night/overnight and explained the need to have adequate sleep for safety reasons) since I was going to be driving close to 300 miles. This is an excellent place for the grandchildren to visit and enjoy the pool area. I am finding that the various IHG hotels are providing an excellent choice in many cities for me to stay, at affordable prices. We'll stay here again when we require overnight accommodations. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and amazing shuttle service The bed was one of the 5 best hotel beds I've ever encountered! The bathroom is quite snug when you want to close door and/or take shower. First day my room was cleaned within 45 minutes of leaving for breakfast. Remaining 6 days they didn't get to it until nearly 4. I think it became a game with the pen in room, I'd use it and leave it marking page in my puzzle book and housekeeping would move it back to phone pad every day--a bit odd since business center and other areas of facility had cups of pens available to help yourself. Everyone I encountered was most pleasant, especially shuttle driver. But I feel rooms and lack of extra amenity perks (welcome for Priority Club and coffee in lobby) make hotel more than a little overpriced compared to other Holiday Inns and Expresses we've visited across the country. We only return to this for an annual retreat held there, otherwise we'd definitely stay elsewhere when visiting Fargo. I only "recommend" for location and friendliness of staff. April 17, 2014

The sleeping area was large and didn't make sense why the size of the bathroom was comprised . There was no fridge which seems to be a standard in most hotels that we have stayed . Compared to other hotels we have stayed in there was a disconnect between the cost and the amenities provided . April 16, 2014

Once they went down the slides a few times we couldn't get them to leave. The shallow end is great for them to explore on their own and the deeper end is good for swimming with mom and dad. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome hotel for young children The pool area is awesome for young children. I would recommend going during the afternoon while other hotel guests are shopping. Wouldn't recommend a pool side room as it can be quite loud. Staff was all friendly and everything was clean! We saw lots of security during the evening walking the halls. But they were no where in sight, when our neighbours decided to have a party from 11:30pm to 2:00am. April 5, 2014

The people in the next room to our grand children were so loud and threatening that they had to stay with us for the night. I know this was not the fault of the motel but it was a problem and as it turned out we only needed one room because of the noise and swearing going on in the next room we all moved into one room. Our room was next to an entrance so that might have something to do with it. This hotel does an outstanding job for meetings and banquets. Consistently great food and service! April 2, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable stay Overall, a most enjoyable stay. Nice room and bed. Excellent food and service in Restaurant. Friendly and courteous staff. It was noticed that the Key Card Security Access for Door #10, was inoperative throughout our stay. This would/could have allowed anyone without a Key Card to access the Hotel in a way other than via the front lobby. It is hoped that this defect has been duly noted and will be promptly restored to proper function with the necessary repairs March 30, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Motel is getting tired I spend numerous nights out on the road. Many of those night at holiday inns. The food and beverage is very good at this facility. Stayed at this facility about once a month for a number of years. I noticed the rooms were slowly getting worn. On one of my previous stays I was unable to get my room warmed up because of a non working heat unit. I quit staying at this place. I was recently in Fargo and thought I would try it again. I do like staying here because the reastaurant is excellent. I was disappointed one more time. The room was unable to get warmed up again and the thing that really was disappointing is while I was taking a shower the shower faucet popped off the tub and the shower quit working. I am sorry to say that I do not plan to stay at this facility again. Again great food here but rooms need updating. March 23, 2014

They assigned us a room where my husband could walk to the areas where we needed to go. He has limited mobility. The staff brought us a cart to unload. The staff brough us an extra blanket as wellas a rrigerwtormand microwave. The pillows are awsome and the bed very comfortable. Our party had 5 rooms and we all were very satisfied. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Icky room We had to call maintenance to unclog the tub. It never worked right. The heater would not shut off. It ran all night even after turning it to the lowest setting so we roasted. Finally ended up just shutting it off. Front desk argued about the rates after I called in earlier in the week and for "best rates". Pool area was packed and clustered. Not enough seating. Would not stay here again. March 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A+ customer service When our daughter became ill the staff allowed us a very extended check out time due to our doctor appointment being in the middle if the afternoon. Thank you for helping a family in need. Additionally the restaurant was yummy and reasonable so we didn't have to leave the hotel. The pool are has life jackets which is wonderful and the pool towels were always stocked. My daughter reaction to the stay ' mommy, let's move here' March 7, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn EVER! I am a diamond level member at another major hotel chain and only stayed at this property since a colleague of mine requested that location. I arrived late on Tuesday night 3/11/14 after a long day of travel. After checking in, I eventually found my room located on the complete other end of the hotel. The room numbers and the floors to not match up. It is very confusing. As soon as I settled into bed, the heater on the wall started "moaning" on and off. I tried turning it off, just using the fan, and a number of other combinations without any luck. After a few calls to the front desk, they moved me to another room at 11:00 at night. When I woke up early the next morning I did not have any hot water in my room. I let the water run for 15 minutes and it was freezing cold. The maintenance guy said "this happens all the time" and then let me shower in the next room. I again complained to the front desk in person. I had to ask for a free breakfast coupon. That evening I went to the fitness center. The machines were in terrible shape and none of the TV’s worked. The following morning, I had hot water. Before checking out, I tried again to discuss my stay with the manager. she said she would "look into it" and sent me on my way. In my opinion, as someone who spends 130+ nights in hotels per year, the manager should have not charged me for the room, given me an excessive amount of priority club points and should have offered complimentary meals/cocktails/etc. I will NEVER stay at this hotel or recommend this hotel to anyone. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pleasant The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We were there for a hockey tournament, with kids everywhere. The staff stayed calm throughout. The beds were hard and sheets rough but overall the room was great. I recommend a tower room as they are larger. Pool view rooms are small, hot and loud but convenient for location. The pool looks much bigger in pictures than actual size but the kids enjoyed it. I thought the water temp was too cold especially for the little ones. February 26, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mostly Nice Stay (but cold bathroom and .....) The weather outside was very cold, but inside, the hotel room was almost too hot, even though I had the air conditioning set to 60 (which is the lowest you can set it). Heaven help you if you brought warm night clothes. My second night, the battery in the smoke detector started beeping at 3 AM. I called the front desk, and they did send security over very fast with a new battery, and only charged for half the usual rate for that night, at my request. I had also asked for a better pillow for my neck, and they were able to provide one. So I would give them pretty high marks for customer service, but for things like the room being too warm, and yet there was no heater (or heat lamp) in the bathroom, so it was pretty cold in the bathroom for taking a shower, I would give them average or below average. I ate in the hotel café for breakfast twice, and it was average hotel food. I ate there for dinner once, and the service was not very good. Their coffee bar (Dakota Joe's) was very good.
