Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy The hotel was clean and comfortable but very noisy till late at night because of all the party rooms. Front desk person asked repeated questions which were a little odd. Bed was comfy and clean. No continental breakfast though. Oh well. Would stay again because of good location. July 2, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Stay Elsewhere Room not ready when arrived - conflicting check in times on website vs confirmation - an hour later they did put us in another room poolside for same price, so that was nice. Air conditioner only ran for a short amt of time - called front desk and maintenance arrived a short time later - they turned it down & said it was working fine - didn't listen to the problem - it was 78 degrees in the room most of the night. Room floor was sticky - had to keep shoes on. Had a pull out bed, but had to arrange all the furniture in the room to be able to pull it out. July 2, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Loud kids and chlorine smell in room Didn't get a good nights sleep due to the kids shouting and the chlorine smell in my room at night and then they were up and at it again bright and early in the morning. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Service People are friendly. Turnover is high so teaching customer service skills is quite difficult. I have stayed there ten times in the last three months and someone is always saying, be patient with me this is my first day. The best one was a bar tender not knowing how to make a vodka tonic telling me he had never worked as a bar tender before and her first shift. The tens weeks I have been there I have seen the pool bar turnover 5 bartenders. The new bar tender was surprised how easy it was to make a vodka tonic after I instructed him how to do it. Not the employees fault. Spend time orienting before introducing them to the customers. Never see annoy one from the "main office" walking the floors. In visable leadership is not a good business model. June 23, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fixed the Issue We had an issue with our room stemming from central booking (not on site; via 800 number) and the GM stepped up to make this right for our family. He actually went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of which was much appreciated. Staff in dining area as well as pool area was wonderful despite being very, very busy during the weekend of our stay. Entire group for hockey tournament was pleased with choice of hotel and many stated this is where they will book teams going forward for Fargo area tournaments. June 19, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Marginal WiFi Have stayed at this Holiday Inn twice a year for many years. Always looked forward to our stay at this Holiday Inn; however, finding now things are getting marginal in terms of rooms and amenities. Our room had a toilet tank that was loose and ready to fall off. Mentioned it to the desk, and maintenance did fix it; however, the lid to the tank did not fit tight and was in danger of coming off. WiFi signal is marginal, at best. Constantly had to reboot the computer to get a useable WiFi connection. New menu in the Gallery restaurant. Nice to see some lighter meals offered now. Very disappointed that there is no longer complimentary garlic toast basket; a staple of the Gallery for years. Used to have free coffee in the lobby; now gone. Takes a few days to get some billing issues resolved. June 14, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff very friendly and bed firm and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful and greeted guests well. Hallway seemed very long to first floor rooms. Doors to pool area were often left open and caused hallways to be humid and smell of chlorine a bite. Room was comfortable but seemed A/C would not seem to always operate long enough to keep room as cool as I liked it to be, but was mostly ok. Food for meeting events was really good. June 8, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Delta put us up for a cancelled flight Because our flight was cancelled, we were not looking forward to going back into another motel; however, Holiday inn in Fargo was a comfortable place to stay the night. We were surprised by the size of the actual building and it had accommodations for large conventions! Our double queen room was nice and large and the beds very comfortable... bathroom had lots of extras and it was clean. We are retired and would not have liked a room near the gigantic pool/ fun-land area that looked like a great place for children. It was like an enormous amusement park! As it was, our room was in the lower (older) portion of the building and we didn't have any noise above us. The spacious bar/dining area was totally closed off from the dining room, fairly dark and very private. We enjoyed a good dinner in there. Would recommend this Holiday Inn for anyone, business trip or family. There was a prompt shuttle service to the airport and we were totally satisfied. June 5, 2014

Would have been fun for a toddler, but for a 10 yr old and 2 adults it wasn't. Beds were not comfortable, but pillows were. Overall a nice hotel, but for the price I paid I will find another place to stay next time we are in the area. June 5, 2014

All staff encountered were very friendly and excellent to deal with. I would suggest keeping doors closed to pool might help cut down on common areas being hot and damp. June 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Step back in time - old school The rooms vary with size, smells (non smoking rooms that smell like smoking), tv coverage is poor - sometimes channels fade out and no NBC sports, so no hockey play offs in the room. High turnover of staff and training is done in front of customers not to mention discipline shouted across the room from a supervisor. Rooms do not cater to business professionals staying more than one night, no frig or microwaves. Carpets remind me of the late 80's. No sense of pride from staff. Leadership is not visible. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay Enjoyed my stay overall. Had a room above the pool. The room was very humid, not hot just damp, even though I had the air conditioning on constantly. I believe it was because of the location next to the pool. The hot tub was the best. The coffee shop and location were new for my stay this time. Glad to see there were a few gift items available. I always enjoyed the gift shop when it was there. Now there is great coffee, too. For a convention this is a good location. Room service meals and service we were exceptional. May 25, 2014

I travel a great deal for business, and have stayed in numerous hotels over the years including Holiday Inn's in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and New Jersey. This Holiday Inn in Fargo, was below the standard I've come to expect. The biggest problem, was the front desk staff who were not very friendly, and did not make me feel welcome. In addition, was not very accommodating on a simple request of a late check out (I had work late night/overnight and explained the need to have adequate sleep for safety reasons) since I was going to be driving close to 300 miles. This is an excellent place for the grandchildren to visit and enjoy the pool area. I am finding that the various IHG hotels are providing an excellent choice in many cities for me to stay, at affordable prices. We'll stay here again when we require overnight accommodations. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and amazing shuttle service The bed was one of the 5 best hotel beds I've ever encountered! The bathroom is quite snug when you want to close door and/or take shower. First day my room was cleaned within 45 minutes of leaving for breakfast. Remaining 6 days they didn't get to it until nearly 4. I think it became a game with the pen in room, I'd use it and leave it marking page in my puzzle book and housekeeping would move it back to phone pad every day--a bit odd since business center and other areas of facility had cups of pens available to help yourself. Everyone I encountered was most pleasant, especially shuttle driver. But I feel rooms and lack of extra amenity perks (welcome for Priority Club and coffee in lobby) make hotel more than a little overpriced compared to other Holiday Inns and Expresses we've visited across the country. We only return to this for an annual retreat held there, otherwise we'd definitely stay elsewhere when visiting Fargo. I only "recommend" for location and friendliness of staff. April 17, 2014

The sleeping area was large and didn't make sense why the size of the bathroom was comprised . There was no fridge which seems to be a standard in most hotels that we have stayed . Compared to other hotels we have stayed in there was a disconnect between the cost and the amenities provided . April 16, 2014
