They always have great breakfasts!!! The only problem
we have is getting the right handicapp room. When we call
they always tell us they don't have handicapp room available.
We cannot call the number for the Holiday Inn in Fargo directly.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brewer2 Rooms need some work
We are frequent guests at the Fargo Holiday Inn. Generally look forward to our visits to this Inn, to visit family in the area.
Service is great; food is generally excellent (however, baked potatoes are never done; they are hot, but hard when they arrive with a meal...if they are microwaved, they need to be cooked much longer!)
Guest rooms are getting old and need some work. Last 2-3 times we have stayed, have had rooms with large and discolored cracks in bathroom sinks. Have mentioned this to staff on checkout, but nothing seems to ever get fixed or changed.
Furniture arrangement can leave much to be desired in guest rooms as well. During our recent visit, could not watch TV from the desk, since the microwave-minifridge "tower" was sitting between the desk and the dresser the TV was placed on.
Pool area and lobby are very nice; time to start working on the guest rooms!

The hotel and service was great but the pool/pool area were freezing, which made it not very fun to be swimming. We had the party scheduled for 4hrs but were only able to swim for about an hour because the kids got way to cold:(

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ziggy68 Made my Fargo, ND Trip an Awesome One
This Holiday Inn property was one of the nicest and most professional properties that I have stayed at in awhile. From the time the courtesy driver picked me up at the airport until the time I left, I felt welcomed and as if I were a part of a very friendly family. I found the people of Fargo to be very welcoming and friendly.
This property was just a few minutes away from the airport and the downtown area and was very conveniently located. The restaurant and bar were very good and did not have extremely high prices, and then straight across from the hotel was the main shopping center for Fargo and they had some well-known eating establishments and places with good coffee and desserts for afterward. I found that everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful as I navigated around, and there are some other parts of the area that I would like to see, so I will be planning a return trip. Thanks to the Management and Staff for a wonderful stay!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by collsav Not a place to stay during college graduation time
Members of my family drove a minimum of 5 hours to get to Fargo to celebrate the college graduation of my son. We chose the Fargo Holiday Inn to stay and have our party celebration for our son after the ceremony. Well it ended up being a not so great experience because of the silly rules that were being enforced by the security people on duty. Example, my son opened a present from his grandmother, homemade cookies, and the security lady swooped in and said that we couldn't have food outside the room. He had just opened them and set them on the table. Also, we wanted to pull a couple of tables together so our group could be together, and we could not have the tables "touching" and each table could only have 4 chairs per table. She went around counting the chairs all night long and would tell make people move them. How ridiculous!! I just wanted to have a relaxing fun time to celebrate with my family this very important event but felt very very unwelcomed and will not be staying at a Holiday Inn again. Not sure what people are supposed to do during graduation time because people do have to travel many miles and need a place to have their graduation celebrations. We are not the only people that felt this way, the people that were around us were also very upset about this also.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NEBusinessman Great lobby and the rooms not so much.
Here is another example of spending too much time on that first impression and far too little on the overall expericence. The lobby is top notch with great service. The rooms are run down, worn, and need of a complete overhall. I was in an Executive room that had a less than pleasent odor, there were stains on the carpeting, and the television reception was noisy and many channels did not work. In the future, I personally would consider one of the other hotel properties in the area.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by fuzzblall Very very disappointed !!!
Air/heat unit so noisy when it started it shook the floor and the bed.
Unbelievable and never experienced such before and I am in at
least 100 hotel rooms each year. Room security system was all
screwed to the jambs in a crude unpresentable manner. The room key would not let us in from that outside at DOOR 4 . Had to go to the front desk 2 times and finally someone come from the staff and opened the door on the inside. That section of the hotel looked like an obsolete 2nd rate hotel. Just unacceptable for the Holiday Inn name and the high price. Was told immediately upon arrival that the swimming pool was out of order. Nothing surprised us in the end.

I travel extensively for business and personal reasons, and stay at Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express facilities throughout the US. I stay most frequently at the Holiday Inn of Fargo, North Dakota. At this location the front desk personnel and management staff are extremely friendly and most helpful in making my stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms, beds and bedding are very clean and comfortable. I also frequent the lounge as well and the staff are equally friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, as well as my closest friends. Thank you.

I stay at the Holiday Inn of Fargo at least 50 times a year, and I have yet to have an unpleasant stay. Many of the staff have taken the time to know me by name and are always very kind in greeting me when I stay here. Not only would I, but I often recommend this hotel to my friends, co-workers, and family. I have the greatest confidence that they will be well taken care of at this hotel.

I was "weather" stranded in Fargo, ND for eight days during and after conducting a seminar for the West Fargo Police Department. The entire staff, especially the desk staff, were very accommodating and extended my stay at the same rate. They made an potentially uncomfortable situation comfortable. I wrote a letter and left it with the General Manager and a copy to the Front Desk Manager and have received an email response from the General Manager. Very good people!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SteveC57 Broken toilet and flooded room
I understand that things can happen and it did on our last stay at this Holiday Inn. For whatever reason the toilet stayed on and flooded the bathroom and the carpet outside the bathroom. Mind you, the toilet was not plugged, it was broken. I was out with our daughter and got a call from my wife, who had stayed in the room to go to bed early, she asked if wanted a room with a king or queen, I asked why and she told me that the toilet in our room had broke and flooded the room and the we were moving. At around 10:30p when this happened we went thru the hassle of changing rooms. You would think that the Holiday Inn would have given us a break on the price, but no. Not comp the whole bill but some kind of break on the bill not just a broken toilet. We do have a reservation for my daughter's graduation from NDSU. I may have to make changes with that.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lambo1 Long standing superior reputation, but missed the pool area (under construction)
We really enjoy staying at the Fargo Holiday Inn. It's close to West Acres, and upgraded beds make for a comfortable stay. We usually enjoy the pool area, but it was under construction. We look forward to seeing the new pool and bar arrangement, but we not told of the construction at check in, so we think our value was diminished significantly since the bill was the same.
As Priority Club Members, we expect the best value.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by emcmommy Way to expensive for what it is!
I rented a room for my family so we could enjoy the pool with some friends for the evening. There was an fecal matter incident right upon arrival. Not impressed with how they did not notify people well or inform us when the pool was open. Unless you spend an extra $50 or more to get a pool side room be prepared to walk a long ways. The 'towers' are a great distance from the pool area. We stayed during the winter season and the hallways were a quite drafty. Walking back from the pool while we were wet did concern me since it was freezing that day. I called the front desk with my complaints and the staff too $15 off our stay. What a joke! We did not get to enjoy the night with our friends. I will not recommend or revisit this establishment ever again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by paulsteddybear Key Card protocols
We were pleased to see the addition of a fridge and micro wave in the Room. Due to inclement weather, we needed tp stay a third night and the Hotel staff made this readily possible and without having to move rooms. On the day we departed I needed to make more than one trip from the Room to load luggage. However, when I tried to re-enter the Hotel via the door closest to our vehicle, my Key Card would not work. It had been de-activated. This necessitated having to go all the way around to the Front Desk to have the Key card re-activated so that I could complete loading up luggae prior to our exit. As Priority Club Members we are entitled to a late check-out of 1400. I was loading our vehicle at around 1315. It would appear that our Key Cards were therefore prematurely de-activated. This was a monor annoyance on an otherwise enjoyabel stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sheri1234 No hot tub:(
We (the parents) were very disappointed that there was not a hot tub. We both had sore muscles and were in need of that. Also watching the kids in the pool area it was cold. I went to put a sweatshirt on to be comfortable:( Maybe someday we can get another chance at a better experience since we have family in the area.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by valleyrimgirl Wow!
We arrived to a room that smelled nice and a comfortable king sized bed.
We tried to work on office stuff on the internet shortly after we arrived. There was very poor internet service in room. We could only get on briefly twice. My husband had to go to the front desk area to get onto the internet. This was very inconvenient to do office work with the computer then. No privacy.
Didn't realize that there was no breakfast included with room cost. We were expected to order room service or purchase it at the restaurant.
It was more costly than any other hotel we stayed at on our holiday and for its price, almost double of other hotels, we got a normal sized room with the smallest bathroom of all the hotels we were at.
Also there was no fridge or microwave in room. Thankfully it is winter and so, we simply used our vehicle as a fridge.
Thought we would use the hot tub at the hotel, but were not able to find it. After asking, we found out that it was out for servicing.
Thought since the hot tub wasn't there...a hot bath would be nice. But, the water coming to the bathroom for the bathtub as well as the sink took at least 5 full minutes of running wide open, before it would have hot water to either of them.
Then the bathtub wouldn't hold water. The maintenance guy had to be called and he found and took a shampoo bottle lid out of the drain.

We live in Fargo and wanted to get out of the house for a couple days. My kids (5, 10, 13) loved the Pirate Ship waterpark. There are several different slides that were fun and the pool is a nice depth for kids. We enjoyed several hours in the evening and a couple more in the morning before checking out. We also ordered Dominos pizza from the pool area and that was a great service. Thanks to the pool staff for keeping other kids under control, when they started getting out of hand. We also loved playing ping pong and air hockey in the rec area. Our room was comfortable, however, there was a layer of dust on the tables. Also, it took forever to get warm water when washing hands and taking showers. Actually, I don't think we ever did get warm water in the sink. It was a plus having a microwave and refrigerator in our room.
It was a very nice getaway and we plan to stay again. We're looking forward to the pool remodel and to see those changes.
