Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impressive customer service I recently stayed one night at the Holiday Inn in Fayetteville and it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in terms of quality service. I was picked up and dropped off at the airport in a van that the hotel provides. Lee had also taken time out of his busy day to drive me across the street to my interview and pick me up. I was vee appreciative. Also, when I checked in, Kelani made sure all of my needs were met and everything was running smoothly. I had also gone to the bar and grille for dinner. The bar tender ( I didn't catch her name) was very nice and made sure to connect me with other guests. Overall , it was a fantastic stay at hotel that really treats you like family. November 9, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This hotel was a mess The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly. That's about the only good thing I can say about it. Our ice bucket had mold in it, the TV channels didn't work properly, the WiFi code only worked half the time. I reserved a king suite, but was given a double room. It took several calls to the front desk for them to admit I was given the wrong room. I was STILL overcharged by $100 until I finally went to the front desk and got it straightened out. They have myself and my companion free dinner at the Sports Bar for our trouble, which was very nice of them. But our entrees were delivered 15 minutes apart, for all 3 diners. So by the time I was done eating, my companion was just getting her food. Buy the time SHE finished eating, our other companion was just getting hers. October 30, 2014

They have big tubs and nice clean bathrooms. Breakfast was delicious but they didn't have any bacon. This was a great place to stay in Fayetteville. October 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly and professional staff. Carpets old and dirty. At first very disappointed. Rooms were not ready and staff was overworked and inconsistent. After checking in things got much better. Room's carpet was highly stained and threadbare, but beds and bath were clean and comfortable. Event staff were top-notch, very helpful, professional and efficient. Meeting room was noisy due to loud party down the hall but overall very good. October 23, 2014

All our needs were handled well and the staff was very helpful in most requests. The rooms were clean and the staff was sufficient to handle our needs. It was impressive that the lobby area was spacious and pleasant for a meeting up with friends area. We would definately stay at the hotel in the future. October 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant Needs some work! Enjoyed our stay... really wish there would have been chairs on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful weather. The restaurant seemed to be out of a lot of things. No lemons, no pulled pork, no A-1 sauce to name a few. We also ordered some dessert from room service. The lava cake was TERRIBLE! No "lava" to be found. It was over microwaved and dry. Woke up to the smell of burnt popcorn down our hall. Made our entire room stink for the rest of our stay. October 22, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room Nice, Conference not so nice Upon checking in they were very accommodating. We went to the room and it seemed fresh and clean. My only complaints were they ran out of toilet paper and paper towels in all the stalls in the bathroom. When I approached the front desk they quickly cut me off and said it was being taken care of. With 600 women they should have had the bathrooms overstocked. I also thought the lunch provided was awful. It was supposed to be a turkey wrap, but I did not find any turkey in it. It was all smothered in ranch and wilted lettuce. So as far as staying for the night, I think it's fine. But I would never want to go to another conference there. October 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff! The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating from our entrance through the door upon check in right through the end of our stay. They were attentive and expedient. I would highly recommend this hotel. It may be a little dated in a few areas, but they are working on that and the staff makes the stay very pleasurable. They were quick to address an issue with the microwave in our room and resolved it very quickly. The only issue we had was with the computer in the business area. It needs updating. The staff worked with us to resolved the issue and we were able to get the documents we needed printed. Overall a great stay! October 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mostly Good We were there for a Knight Templar Convent and spent three nights in the hotel. Our reception and banquet were held there. The hotel is quite old but has been upgraded and looks pretty good. It is large, in two separate buildings and all our group were not in the same building. The room was clean and comfortable and we slept well. However, there was a major issue on Friday morning when two workmen, totally unannounced, arrived at our room after I had gone to a meeting elsewhere in town. My wife was still in the room. They opened the door without knocking but when they realized the room was occupied they shut it. She talked to them through the door and found out why they were there then called the desk which confirmed the work order. This was unacceptable as they should have knocked first. I also think that hotel management should have notified us that this was going to happen. At our banquet on Saturday night there was to be a cash bar an hour before dinner. The bar was not set up on time and it took almost 45 minutes into the cocktail hour before it was. In the meantime some of us went to the adjacent bar to get our drinks. This event was planned well in advance and the delay, which the hotel blamed on their bartender being sick, was inexcusable. I believe it also cost them some revenue as many in attendance chose not to walk to the bar. The banquet food was good as was the breakfast but it was nothing out of the ordinary. Overall our stay was good and we would stay there again but having stayed in three Holiday Inns the three weekends before where the service was better, this one suffers a bit. October 16, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smelly room My room smelled musty! On my last day there I noticed the ceiling had mildew all over it and the wall paper coming down in a corner. The toilet ran all night the first night. I did tell the desk and they had it fixed that day. That was a plus! My grandson spilled something on the bed so I wrote a note that I needed to have the sheets change and left $5.00 they took my five dollars changed the top sheets but not the bottom. I even put the note on the wet spot. I had to ask about the breakfast, staff should tell you about it when you check in. There was not anything in the room to give you information about it either. I seen it on the website or I would have never known. I did tell the desk of the smell, mildew and sheets when I checked out, they were sympathetic but were unable to adjust my bill because I booked through a third party. It was easy to get to where I needed to go. The employees were friendly. October 13, 2014

Housekeepers were great and room was great. It had a large round tub to take a comfortable bath. Bed was comfortable. Denfintaly will stay here again if in the area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal for Cape Fear Hospital visitors We chose this hotel because of its locality, directly across from hospital. We did not expect the terrific service and courteous attention we received. We were staying here for hospital location but would return to this facility for any purpose thanks to our experience. We were also pleasantly surprised that we were offered a discounted rate due to the fact that our son was hospitalized across street. We did not ask for this, the staff was aware of the reason for our stay and booked our room at a very reasonable rate. The included daily buffet breakfast was also a treat, delicious and plentiful.
