The property is absolutely stunning with the recent renovation, and the service was wonderful; however, the elevators should have been replaced also as they took WAY to long to go up and down and also, we were on the back side of the hotel and there were NO LUGGAGE CARTS over there which made lugging your suitcases up and down tiresome. Suggest servicing the elevators and putting luggage carts near the elevators for everyones use!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sara68 Safety of my neice and her son
This stay was great for my niece and family. I used my priority points so my niece would not have to sleep on her Mothers Sofa Sleeper.
She said everything was great. Her son even commented on how much he enjoyed the room, even when his Mom left for a while he felt very comfortable.
I do prefer Holiday Inn Express but this Holiday Inn stands right next to them.

I stayed here for 2 weeks. Full-spread breakfast every morning was GREAT! First thing I noticed in the room was a wall outlet box falling off the wall. It was fixed the next day, but I noticed that another one was in the same condition but they didn't bother to look and see if there were any more. The TV channels list was inaccurate. There may have been 40 available of the 60 or 70 on the list. No HBO? What hotel doesn't have HBO or Showtime?? I called within the first 2 days and was told they were trying to get the channels working. When I left, there was no change, and the desk clerk that I talked to the night before I left said she hadn't heard of any channels not working. The hotel is shaped in a horseshoe. I was on the inside of the horseshoe. Apparently the conference room by the lobby is also rented out as a party hall. Expect much noise from people walking around and raising cain in the middle of the horseshoe as well as down the hallways during/after these parties. Heading back to NC in a week, but will not be staying at the Bordeaux. Holiday Inn express, here I come!

I've been a priority club member for a number of years and this was the most incredible staff that I have ever seen. During my 4 night stay, from check in to check out, everyone that I encountered (Managers, front desk, restaurant/bar staff, back offices, etc...) was positive, smiling, frieindly and courteous. Every time I came into the hotel I was greeted by name...that was amazing to me. Great job Holiday Inn Fayetteville-Bordeaux!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gigi13 Good convention facility
My husband and I attended a large weekend convention at this facility. This hotel was able to accommodate all of our activities including registration area, large ballroom, large hospitality suite, vendor and display areas, meeting rooms and a banquet area, in addition to lodging for the attendees. Housekieeping and front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older and was recently remodeled. Our room was adequate. It had two full sized beds. There are few rooms with king sized beds and none was available for us. When we arrived in our room, we were greeted by the odor of stale cigarette smoke. We had requested a non-smoking room. We questioned the housekeeper about this and she stated that the entire hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. She sprayed the room with air freshener but it did not alleviate the problem. The hotel was fully booked so there was no other room we could move to. There was a small fitness facility but a larger area is under construction. A breakfast buffet was included with the room which was a nice suprise. The buffet offered a wide variety and was replenished frequently. The waitstaff in the breakfast area were very attentive. The cafe was closed during the weekend and the sports bar did not offer food until after 5:00 PM. Friends of ours ate in the sports bar but stated they had to wait almost an hour for their food and it was cold upon arrival. For the convenience of convention goers, we would stay here again but otherwise, we would look somewhere else.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by oilikeit Average rooms poor service
The rooms felt a little on the run down side the sink was full of cracks and I killed two spiders in the bathroom.
The exercise facility was nice but a bit confusing to find.
The restaurant/bar was also nice but crazy loud with my decibal meter in hand where I sat at the bar trying to eat I recorded an average of 96 decibels from the horrible DJ entertainment.
Finally the breakfast staff was very friendly and the food selection was good, I did enjoy breakfast.

Cannot overstate how SORRY the Restaurant / Bar experience was on a Friday at about 6pm. We went in and there were only TWO tables with customers. Still, we decided to sit at the bar thinking we might be able to get some food and beverages even quicker at that spot. WRONG. One other table was waiting to order. One was waiting on food. Now bear in mind that our group was booked over a year ahead so they have known this would be a busy weekend for some time. Yet everything was inadequate and unprepared. The bartender was walking out to tables and doing other tasks instead of just running the bar. Other servers / cooks (?) were walking around with their thumbs in their rears not even looking at those of us who were trying to get help. Within about 15-20 minutes we finally got a drink and there was still NO ONE ELSE was even sitting at the bar. While we were waiting a few more people came in. People sat for 5-10 minutes with no interaction. They had to get up and go ask for a menu. Servers standing around showing NO INTEREST in the customers. Even those who had a table were making NO EFFORT to move at more than an uninterested snail's speed. Never any sense of urgency by any of the employees or management. Even one or two individuals who seemed to be "in charge" had no interest in the customers. It took nearly an hour for us to get our drink along with one order of cheese sticks and one order of chicken fingers. Bill with "tip" was $32!!!! As we were about to leave the table that was there before us asked the waitress why we had gotten food and theirs had not yet come out and she said, "Well you ordered a cheeseburger. That's takes a while." WHAT????? Lots more I could tell but let me just say I was so disgusted I went to the front desk manager(?) and asked if they were in charge of the restaurant or it was leased out. He said it was part of the motel. So I told him of the many horrors we had just experienced and witnessed. About 4 other motel employees sat there staring at me in disbelief as I shared the horrors. He never offered to give us a break on the food bill, comp our meal, etc. He just said, "I'm sorry about that." We told others standing there ready to check in to avoid the restaurant / lounge at all costs. They thanked us for the heads up. Can't imagine how much money that facility lost that night due to their actions. Toward the end of our experience while waiting to pay for our food we saw people leave. One table of 8 had been there almost as long as us and had yet to have their order taken. A TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!

We were with a large group meeting for a weekend workshop and 500 plus converged on the hotel to check in while the hotel personnel got the rooms ready from the previous night's full house. It was not possible to get all the rooms ready when promised but they did a full court press and did the best they could. After seeing how hard they worked to get us all settled and past the rough spot it is reassuring to know they really care about their guests. One employee, Irving, went way out of his way to help out.

ASCS Winter Workshop for Shaggers, a weekend event.
Total confusion at check in. There was a basketball team that stayed late that just made check in horrible. Part of the staff was OK, but overall poor management! No staff to get you to the room, and no carts available for check in or check out.
It was a weekend event that was sold out for mostly Shaggers, not sure why they were not better prepared,

Very nice hotel, staff and amenities very nice. My only problem with the hotel was the unwillingnes to work with a business travelor on the nightly rate. Up until about 3 years ago I held a platinum Holiday Inn rewards membership and I stayed in excess of 100 nights a year. Our business has now recovered and we are now traveling at about the same rate as we were before the recession. I stayed about 9 days at this location and am scheduled to be in the area for 3 more weeks, but every time I checked out on Friday and checked back in on Monday the rate would change. So I was forced to stay at a different hotel where I was able to negotiate a reasonable consistant rate. I don"t feel my relationship of many years with the Holiday Inn was of any consequence to this location.

Showed up late at night after not being able to find a room at some other nearby hotels. The staff member that assisted us at the front desk was very pleasant to deal with. Rooms were nice and breakfast was great. I'll stay here again next time I go to Ft Bragg.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by basf Better than advertised.
I have to be honest. I was not expecting much based based on some reviews that gave this hotel a really bad wrap.
From the moment i stepped into the front lobby, Kerry Ann gave me first class service.
Did not rate food and beverage because I did not have any at this property.
The area was very close to restaurants and highways.
The room was clean and had all the amenities necessary for a comfortable business stay.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Fayettville.
5 star service for a 3 star price.
thank you.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SamIAm13 Old, huge, good bar/restaurant
The hotel seemed to be a little old. However, the hotel and staff was great. The hotel was huge! The bar/restaurant was awesome. The prices could be a little lower for food, but hey, it is a hotel bar. The breakfast and breakfast staff were very courteous. The only thing that I didn't really like about this Holiday Inn was the gym/fitness center was closed and I wasn't able to work out. Overall, I would give this hotel a 8/10, if the gym was available I would have given a 9.5/10

I would recommend this Holiday Inn because it is very evident that customer service is top priority. We were greeted and served with respect and excellent professionalism. The rooms were clean, neat and the bed was very comfortable. The price afforded our company to send a team for several days.
My only recommendation for Holiday Inn at this site is to consider adding another check-in desk. The customer service representatives did an excellent job with assisting all customers but there was a long wait for some guests.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by KennyB staff needs some help
Although staff was polite, they seemed woefully undertrained.
I spent 10 minutes gently explaining to desk clerk that if she gives one discount coupon (for hotel food) for a priority customer paying for one room, than that same customer is entitled to two coupons for two rooms.
I do not think she still gets it...

Stay at hotel was horrible. First morning in hotel tried to take a shower and the shower head flew off. After 3 calls to the front desk and a 4th trip down to the front desk and 9 hours later the shower finally got fixed. Room was never cleaned or serviced during our entire stay. Reception staff very slow and not courteous at all. Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our both stays (Nov.2 & Nov.10th) were very pleasant. Jasmine at the front desk was excellent and a definite plus for the Holiday Inn Family. She does her job with a smile and really makes you feel comfortable. No chore was to big for her. She went above and beyond her job description. She would be an asset to any Hotel chain.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GregoryG Very Dated Hotel
On arriving, there was a very long wait to check in. Yet when we did get to the desk, we were checked in in five minutes. The staff
was courteous, but overwhelmed. After being given instructions on how to get to our room, the first thing we noticed were the hallway floors had not been vaccumed and were very dirty. We
were there for a convention and the meeting room our group had been assigned had one lone PA speaker for a room probably 60'X150'. The people on the left side of the stage got blasted, the people on the right side couldn't hear. One meeting
room in particular, an abandoned bar, had light stands with no
shades on them, just bare blubs. Judging from the style of carpets in the hallways the hotel had probably been built in the 70's and had never been remodeled. It had been added on to several times, but never updated. While all the staff we encountered were friendly and courteous you could tell they just were not given a lot to work with. One shinning spot of our stay was breakfast. Friendly staff, good food and a lot of it.

To whom it may concerns:
The Chateau conference room was used for the conference. The heating and air system was either to hot or to cold. The drapes were torn and pinned up innoticeable places throught out the Chateau room.
My room 201 had roaches in the bathroom and the bedroom. They changed my room late that night and thecarpet on the floors were dirty and stained i room 215. i was not comfortable at all during the break times of the conference.
There was not compensation proved for the inconvenince during our stay.

My room was not cleaned after the first night I was there. This was a particular problem because I had a colleague joining me in the room, and he had to sleep on a bed that had not been changed. This problem occurred despite three calls to the front desk.
The front desk staff was friendly but overwhelmed. The hotel itself is obviously older with cramped bathrooms.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by CaptainJack Just okay....
I stayed at this hotel for a weekend convention. When I arrived, there were lines packed out the door and the customer service staff seemed in no hurry whatsoever to get everyone checked in. Plus, there were several parties on the same floor I was on, which would be okay, except that there was loud music, talking, etc. well past midnight.
However, the room okay. The bed was fairly comfortable, and the tv worked, but I didn't like that there wasn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom/shower. The price was reasonable, but overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless there aren't other options available.
