Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT Stay at the Holiday Inn Fayetteville-Bordeaux Hotel manager (CJ) never returned my calls even though I left two voice mails. Only after I complained to the Holiday Inn customer service office did he finally call me but left a voice mail on my hotel phone, but no one on the staff could explain to me how to retrieve those messages! The hotel hallway, lobby and restaurant was FREEZING and no one could do anything about it. I'm an IHG Platinum member and they put me in the worst room – no upgrades available (room was broken), my room was noisy by the parking lot on the first floor even though I requested a room on a higher floor, nightstand lamps unplugged, no internet code in room key jacket, leaky toilet that ran all night long and absolutely zero sundry items (shampoo, soap, etc) in the bathroom. When i called the front desk it took 40 minutes to bring me only a bar of soap. Transferred me to a new room on the 3rd (highest floor) and the absolute furthest from the lobby. To-go hot coffee cups in the rooms have lids but they do not fit the cup. The toilet flush handle has to be pushed and held for 5 or more seconds for it to flush. They painted the front entry cement in 20 degree weather. they don't allow pizza delivery to the rooms so you have to walk all the way down to the lobby to pick it up. they changed the internet access code without notifying guests so i had to call to ask what was wrong. The red 'you have a message' light on my phone was blinking but no instruction how to check so i called the front desk. She didn't know and said she would call me back. Never called so i called the front desk and asked another worker and they said they would call me back. never did. no coffee available in the lobby. AWFUL HOTEL so I will never stay here again! Tried contacting IHG using the online ‘customer care’ online chat and the person helping me could not tell me what time the guest relations office closed. Horrible. My opinion of Holiday Inn has hit rock bottom! January 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely disappointed with responsiveness to room issues Unfortunately, our experience was severely disappointing and I wanted to let you know. I was shocked at how badly the check in process went. We had separate rooms, and BOTH of us had problems with our rooms--in my companion's case, her neighbor was causing an incredibly loud and disruptive scene and ended up having to be removed. (This is not the hotel's fault, of course, but it took a long time for the drama to die down.) My room had a dysfunctional toilet which would not flush. I called the front desk to report this at 11:30 pm and was told someone would be coming right up with keys for a different room. AN HOUR LATER, no one had arrived. I called back to the front desk and they seemed to have no idea about my situation. What happened? Did the clerk I talk to just decide to completely ignore the fact that I was waiting for a room change? I had to be up at 5 am for training and this was a huge inconvenience. After a long day of strenuous training, my teammate and I were each hoping to relax with a hot bath, but the temperature of the water was tepid at best, and we were not able to actually take anything resembling a hot bath. This also was very disappointing. Our thermostats did not work well either--mine had a dead battery. The accumulation of all these issues made for a fairly unpleasant experience. January 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never Again Hotel was old and seemed to have security issues. The staff made me leave the lobby to drive to my room. Then I needed a keycard to access the building. They have one elevator for 6 floors and close to 300 rooms. Went to the gym - the also have just 1 elliptical and 2 treadmills. Ordered a pizza to be delivered and was told by the staff that I needed to pick it up in the lobby. I asked why i needed to drive back to the lobby - they told me I could just take the elevator...begging the question of why I had to drive to my room to begin with. Carpets were all stained in the room, toilets ran all night and when they didn't - the police sirens kept me awake. This is just an awful hotel - I stay in Fayetteville once a week for work and wanted to try this place since we moved our office and this is the closest to it. But I'll be staying at the Candlewood going forward - this place was just a horrible experience. January 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I enjoyed the full breakfast although bacon would have been nice I enjoyed the room and the amenities. Was very disappointed by the dust and dingy bed linens that were not evidently clean. Did not get any response for correcting the room issues until late the second day at which time we had to make due. We did enjoy the tub and shower, TV access to wifi and the amenities of the hotel although we did not get a chance to use them all. January 9, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by overnight Hotel was clean but a little dated in furnishings. Heat/air was set to fan and it wasn't till the next morning when I looked to see why I was cold all night did I realize that it wasn't set to heat, don't know why it had a temperature that I could change if it wasn't on the heat setting. Arriving at night I don' want to spend 5 minutes figuring out the temp controls. January 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service From the moment I walked into the lobby, I felt welcomed. This hotel is very clean, and despite it being next to a main road and hospital, my room was very quiet. I really appreciated the gentleman from room service bringing me dinner although they had already stopped service. He even brought me a bottle of water even though I had completely forgotten to order a drink. The staff at this hotel are focused on making their guests feel welcome and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in the Fayetteville area. January 4, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty room, loud noises, and an idiotic breakfast policy The room we were put in was dirty, stained furniture, and right next to the attached parking garage. You are not allowed to take your breakfast back to your room from the restaurant. Very poor choice of stay. January 4, 2015
