Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Star Experience I am very pleased with my 5 day/5 night stay for conference. I had a group rate for my room, so costs were reasonable. All staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was kept clean, the bed comfy and fluffy, bathroom clean, quiet with thick walls, quick room service and good food from Barron's. My only concern was Mother Nature that produced tornado warnings. The physical lay-out of the building was a little frustrating, having 1 elevator. Overall, I'm very pleased and will stay again when in the area. May 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good staff and good room Your desk clerk was friendly and courteous, a guy born for the job. I looked at your buffet and declined and when I didn't get any excitement from your wait staff about ordering from the menu, I went next door to Ruby Tuesday where they have a greater menu selection and more flat screen HDTVs for various sports, news and drama channels. Your Jameson Irish Whiskey was expensive, must be a great profit maker for the corporation. The karaoke must be something for predominately local folks and occasionally you must get lucky and find somebody who can actually sing. There was a good crowd who enjoys that, so it must be a money maker for you. I stayed at your hotel because you were a good host to the Special Forces national convention 2010 and I knew overall you run a good show. My food and drink comments aside, it was an overall good stay and I'd do it again. But, really, $7+ for a shot of Jameson. Thought that only happened at a Key West upscale hotel bar. May 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Service-Pet friendly My husband and I stayed here for a wedding. We requested a room near an exit so we could get our dog out easier and they accommodated us. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms. I wish they had complimentary breakfast. April 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by On the way home Speedy check in, Very clean room and bathroom, Plenty of hot water in shower, greatly appreciated after a long drive. Breakfast in the morning was good, our waitress was pleasant and welcoming. April 29, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Had to walk out from breakfast after waiting 45 minutes The first encounter was at the front desk asking for a reciept that showed no charge on my credit dard. The clerk got arguementative and said "you used award points so there will be nothing on the receipt". i said that is what I want to show no charges. He got irrated and said what ever. Then we went to get breakfast. The buffet items looked old and stale so we ordered from the menu. We asked our server several times where our food was and was told there is only 1 cook. There were only 3 other parties in the room and 2 of them were having the buffet. After 45 minutes and no food we lelft and ate somewhere else. April 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great handicapped facilities One of the best handicapped facilities in your chain. The roll-in shower is just what is needed. April 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by unplug and unwind We saw the power go out across the neighborhood as we drove to the Fayetteville Holiday Inn. Much of the hotel had no lights and the front desk phone was ringing non-stop with compaints of no TV. We checked in to a room with no lights or power, but the light from the window made it possible to navigate around the beds. Rather than veg in front of the TV we enjoyed a leisurely meal across the street at Ruby Tuesday. Would not have put it on my list to have a power outage, but it was nice to unplug for an evening. When the time change happened at 2 in the morning power came back on and we had lights to shower before hitting the road. Due to the circumstances I didn't have time to try the facilities in the morning. March 27, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Pleased I should have had a clue when I went to check into the hotel and they had neither luggage carts nor bellmen to assist me with the large amount equipment I brought to the conference. I was invited to wait in the lobby for 90 minutes until a staff member found a cart in one of the hallways and brought it to the lobby. I stayed at the hotel for three nights. The room appeared to be clean with the exception of the bloodstained bedspread. Housekeeping did stop by one day and clean the room, but didn't return the following day. If I had known how bad the food was, I think I would have rather gone hungry. Although it was "as advertised," I never thought that a veggie burger would consist of a veggie burger patty on a bun with no lettuce, tomato, or other ingredients getting in the way of your enjoyment of the meal. I tried to order a salad one evening, but I was informed that the hotel was out of salad. (They were also out of pizza on that day.) ALthough I couldn't say this before, I now know where I was served the worst pancakes of my life. It was at this hotel. They were disgusting. I think that the staff of this hotel try hard, but it appears that the management is severely lacking. March 24, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No housekeeping for three days The hotel is obviously understaffed in the housekeeping department. My room was never done in the first three days of my four day stay. At 10 PM the one maid left is still trying to finish rooms not completed during the day shift. March 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great food in the restaurant - hotel great stop over place We had a great stay at your hotel! the room was large, bed very comfortable. The hotel was quiet - we got a great night sleep! after 10 hours on the road and another 7 to go the next day, this overnight stay was wonderful. We had a great dinner in the restaurant - in fact the customer service was outstanding. We sat at the table and every 2 minutes someone was coming up to us asking if we were OK - do we need anything? I worked 36 years in Customer Service and was blown away by the staff. We will definitely stay there again! March 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Homeward bound overnight stay Would not hesitate to reserve a stay at this hotel in the future March 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel and staff! What a great hotel to stay at on our trip home to Florida. Bad weather in the area(snow) had us stopping in the area to get off the roads. The only restaurant in the area open was this hotels. Everyone was helping out in there, including the general manager! She was awesome! All the front desk were so polite and the rooms were very clean. If I'm ever this way again I will definitely stay here! February 25, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Inn for work The door jam needs repair. Had to shoulder it to open. The toilet is low and mounted crooked. Room was a maze to get field the elevators just to walk even further once to my floor. Then that night a fire alarm.... 30 or 40 people out in the hall at 430 in the morning. No staff!, alarms stopped, so all back to bed. To this day....not a word from the staff. Makes one wonder where they were. February 23, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by House Keeping Slacking I stayed at this motel for two nights. The house keeping service is lacking attention. My bed was not made, floor vacuumed, bathroom cleaned or coffee service items replenished. I knew house keeping visited my room because I had fresh towels and the trash was emptied. The staff was very courteous and professional. The rooms were clean. The only negative about the general condition of the facilities was that both of my beds squeaked. This facility is not up to the same standards as other Holiday Inn's I've stayed in across the country. February 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Check Again When I stayed for two days, they never came into my room and cleaned it, didn't change my towels, empty my trash, etc. The keys to the room had to constantly be redone, and after all of this, I was offered a free breakfast which I didn't even eat. February 8, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room was not Clean! I have stayed at two other Holiday Inns on my trip this week and they were spotless and so comfortable, so I thought staying in another would be a good idea. It was not. The parking lot had trash everywhere and The room was dirty. One of the beds looked like it was slept in-hair on the sheets and wrinkled. The head board looked like someone spit on it and all the surfaces needed a good cleaning. The carpets had dirt on the edges like the vacuum was just done around the main areas. The bath room was okay, nothing too scary in there. I was too tired to complain so just put up with it and then had a good breakfast served by a really nice waitress. So the staff is nice-the food good, but the cleaning people need to step up. February 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn Best hotel ever and the staff (especially the front desk) was amazing! February 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place for pets We are always satisfied with our stay and the meals from Baron's restaurant. Only minor issue this time was missing chair and ottoman. January 14, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK for a 1 night stop when we got there it was starting to rain so was happy to stop after a 6 hours in the car. staff at the desk gave us our keys but didn't want to talk to us. (but only to each other. only one other checking in at the time we were). The room was as expected wasn't anything that made it better than any of the other hotels. Sofa bed needs updating, could feel every spring. The only reason we stayed with you was that it was just of i95 so on that point I would have said maybe. However there are many hotels that didn't say that only for us to find out that they are also close. Maybe look around before you book. Find a good price. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. 1 night close to highway and it's OK. January 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and Helpful Staff Very disappointed with room condition. Bathroom was not clean(hair everywhere) and there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Housekeeping was very willing and very quick to clean and bring fresh towels. Confirmed our room through priority club while traveling. Upon arrival at the hotel they did not have the room type available that we had confirmed. We booked a King/Pet Friendly room and ending up spending the night in 2 double beds. Heating system was very loud. Continually going on and off. January 9, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by R#19103231600 While I was merely traveling back home from Florida with my children and only stayed a few hours, I found the experience mediocre. When we arrived we were sent to a room, which had not been serviced after the previous guests departure. The counter agent did promptly assign us a new room but was unconcerned about the error. (Must happen regularly). We also overheard he be rather abrupt and discourteous with a caller on the phone. She told the caller there were no vacancies, while the parking lot seemed quite empty. The new room was clean but the 2 beds seems rather small. Most hotels have queen sized beds these did not seem to be queen sized. My wife $ I and 2 high school children were a bit uncomfortable. The room also had a very old and rickety pull out. My young son was un happy as well. Lastly, there was a terrible stain in the tub where it seems water habitually is drained from an exposed pipe in the ceiling. January 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice stopover while travelling We were very well treated at this pet-friendly hotel. My morning bill indicated $40 instead of the posted $35 pet fee but I didn't take the time to go discuss it in the morning. The overall value didn't make it a huge issue. The room was clean, well appointed and very quiet despite being near the ice machine and exit. The pool was well maintained and the water was warm. Our restaurant experience was also very pleasant with an attentive waiter and good food. Would stay here again without hesitation. Our only small disapointment was the Wifi signal strenght. My son had to move to the door in order to play Minecraft but I'm sure he'll survive :-). I just went to the business center to check email and plan the rest of our route. January 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad breakfast! Light switch in room did not work. Breakfast buffet was dirty.....Food was horrible......IHG member. did not recognize us as one. Holiday Inn we stayed at in Winchester, Va....was A plus.... January 6, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok, just passing through Didn't greet as Priority Club Member, not ready for check-in, room not ready, had to assign another room, at 4:40 PM. Stay was ok, but not great, old Holiday Inn, will stay at HI Express in the future. January 5, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Meh I've stayed a few times and this was not the best experience. Workout room is showing age and equipment was filthy. Guest room was missing ink pens, note pads, a do not disturb sign and a laundry bag. January 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room and excellent restaurant When in the area I always choose this hotel. I know the rooms are always comfortable and the restaurant is excellant. Always order the steak (rib eye or filet). Don't eat in any other place. Convenient to I95. Plan to stay there in the future. We travel with a dog and the hotel is pet friendly. January 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place to rest on any long up/down drive on east coast. Driving from NY to FL, this was a good mid point to stop. The place is efficient and clean. Exercise room is exactly that, a room with a couple of basic cardio machines. Pool is not big nor deep, good for kids. Complimentary breakfast for IHG members was very good, decent choices in their buffet. Area around the hotel does not have many stores or eating choices, but it is sufficient for our needs as an overnight rest stop. Since it is literally right off I-95, we'll probably book again if another similar trip is planned. January 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average room but heater made a loud loise Room was clean. Hotel had all the standard services. However, the heater in our room made so much noise that we had to sleep in the room with the heat off. a bit chilly for the weather but better than listening to the heater fan which made a racket. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fine but could use some updates This is a nice sized holiday inn with great facilities. We stayed there with our lab (11 yr old) and they are understanding about pets. Bed was so-so. Pillows are awful -- small and wadded up like little packages. I couldn't flatten them out. Pillows are almost as important as the mattress. Shower& room were fine but could use updating. December 30, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs a little attention We travel from Florida to Virginia 3 or 4 times a year and for the last several trips have chosen Holiday Inn at Exit 49 in Fayetteville, NC, to stay overnight before finishing the trip. Until this stay, the rooms have been excellent. Unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed this time. We stayed overnight December 22, 2013, in room 1105. The cleanliness and maintenance was not quite up to par compared to our other stays. We found faint athletic-shoe footprints on the floor in the bathroom, which seems to indicate the floor had not been washed between guests. Also it looked as if the tub area could have used a deeper cleaning. The upper soap dish was scummy and the walls around the tub looked as if they had not been thoroughly cleaned for a while. The tub drain needs attention since water backed up during a shower. There is also a water leak behind the commode. In addition, it was difficult to regulate the heat/ac. The unit seemed to blow cool air when set for heat unless the dial was turned quite high; likewise, when we decided to use AC in order to offset the warm bed covering at night, the AC setting blew somewhat warm air at what seemed as if it should have been a relatively cool setting on the dial. The carpet appeared a little less clean than rooms we have stayed in previously at this facility. Everything other than the heat/ac unit worked properly. Shower, sink, and commode were good, nice flat screen TV, handy refrigerator and small microwave (not used). What we saw of the facility in general was fine and, as stated, previous stays have been good. December 29, 2013
