We were traveling from New England to Florida and decide to stop at this hotel for one day. The staff and service were so good that we decided to stay an extra day. There's a great restaurant on site with a good breakfast and a Ruby Tuesday across the street.

Pros: free breakfast was a plus, internet worked, they allowed pets
Cons: The carpets were damp and sticky under your feet. There was also a dirty hand towel hanging on the shower rod when we checked in. Finally the room smelled of animals. It was a pet room but you could tell that it was not cleaned or aired out on a more frequent bases or prior to other guests with pets coming to the establishment. So the carpets need to be cleaned more frequently and the room needs to be "pet cleaned" more frequently. After all I did pay additional for a pet. If the fee is not going to upkeep of the pet room then what is it going towards?

We were locked out of our room on Saturday even though we were booked until Sunday. Had to go to the front desk to get the room key reprogrammed. Front desk looked up the information to tell us we were scheduled to check out on Sunday.
Also on Friday I found the staff to be very abrupt when we were checking in. When I questioned something he seemed to be annoyed that I would question him.

About an hour after check-out, realized that I had let behind my laptop computer hidden within the room (with important company data on the hard drive). Initial panic was alleviated by a single call to the Duty Manager 'Linda' who solved the problem: she immediately went to the room, retrieved the unit from its hiding place, secured it in her office, and held it until I was able to double-back and fetch it before my scheduled flight out of Fayetteville. Was my pleasure to exchange my ratty laptop for a special floral arrangement in her honor. Realize that flowers may seem corny and old-fashioned in this day & age, but couldn't think of anything else by which to express my spontaneous gratitude for 'Linda's' going above and beyond the call of managerial duty. It is heartening to know that in this day & age we have such persons in leadership positions.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jeffasc Not sure why??
When I arrived at the hotel it was 2:00 PM. I went to check in and was told there are no rooms available. I could not check in until 3:00 PM. I said OK, and got a copy of USA Today and started reading, right in front of the check in desk (thank you for the paper). Next, I moved my car from the entrance area, came back in at 2:30 and saw that people were checking in??? I sat there for another 15 minutes watching people check in and went up to the counter to see if I could check in and was asked for my name etc. again, in a cold frosty manner. I felt like, was I forgotten, did I do something wrong to offend this lady?? Not really a problem because I had time to read and no place to go but why was I told 3:00 PM and other people were checking in at 2:30. Did a hotel this big have no rooms ready at 2:00 PM but many rooms at 2:30 PM??
