Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Still issues even now that it is Holiday Inn Room very nice. Great bargain getting 4 passes for the water park included. Reservation for 4 and had to ask for a forth set of towels. Bar in water park area not stocked. As soon as we sat down the bartender said we are out of Bacardi, vodka, and another major liquor (can't remember which). They had a big poster boasting 9-10 new drinks, 8 of which required Bacardi. Last year, same deal, they had only 3 choices of beer of the 10-12 they advertise. We went to the regular pool and an employee was squeeging dirty water from the floor around the pool back into the pool! I immediately had my kids get out of the water. Lounge in the lobby very nice, staff extremely friendly and attentive. May 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs remodeling This could be a very nice place except it needs to be remodeled. Carpets are stained from pet usage and other things I don't care to think about. It would be nice to have a nice restaurant open all the time since the location is remote. May 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Night's Sleep Due to a family crisis I suddenly needed a hotel room in Fitchburg, MA. The Holiday Inn was a god-send. The staff were terrific, very accomodating. My room was spacious & very comfortable. I even got a late check out for the following morning. I'll definitely be staying there again! May 3, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Water park is great We stayed at this hotel for three nights. On the first day we did not come back to the room until 6:00PM. and I noticed the room was not yet clean, the beds were not made. I called the front desk and I was told that they don't make the beds everyday or clean the room everyday unless you request it. Well I did and housekeeping was very nice and accomodating. The male housekeeper was extremely apologetic and even got us a complimentary breakfast. I was extremely disappointed that I had to make the beds, put the dirty towels out in the hallway and put the trash in front of the door to be pick up. It just didn't feel like I was on vacation. I was told by the front desk that the only time they clean the room is when you check out. I thought it was kind of odd. Granted that we had a wonderful time at the water park and the room was nice and clean when we arrived, but after been there for a couple of days it started to get some kind of musty smell. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall good experience CoCo Key was enjoyable although the food was overpriced as is usually the case. The restaurant provided good food with very family friendly pricing. The door lock on the hotel room was damaged and I was unable to engage the security bolt once inside the room. There was no refrigerator in the room and the TV channel selection was poor. A clothes drying line in the shower would go a long way to help in the drying of bathing suits considering the hotel is paired with a water park. Other than that the hotel facilitated my request for an early check-in and we enjoyed a clean room and easy check-out. I would recommend staying here. April 22, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Management accountability As you can see by the ratings, I had no problem with the actual stay, the water park or the meals. My children and I enjoyed room service for dinner followed by breakfast in bed the next morning. Both meals were nice. The room and beds were comfortable and necessary after spending many hours in the water (the water park and the pool). The one problem I have and to me, this is a serious accountability issue, was the fact that I reported to a Water Park Supervisor that a male guest was walking around sporting a large swastika tattoo on his chest. Not much can offend me, including his other tattoos (I have two myself) but this grievous identifying mark is symbolic of more than just a place and time. It is a reminder of atrocities and of a group of sadistic killers who were trying to murder and wipe out a race of human beings. I told the Supervisor I was offended as was others not in my party. She said she would contact the General Manager and see if they could have the man wear a shirt. I can tell you the man never did put a shirt on and was shirtless the following day as well. I removed my kids from the Waterpark and spent the remainder of the day at the pool. Even my 11 year old kids knew the meaning of that symbol. Yes, I was offended (as were others at the park) but apparently the Management didn't want to offend that guest. April 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome! Check in time was 4pm, but since our rooms were ready, we were able to check in at 10:30am! That was so nice. We didn't have to leave our luggage in the car or carry it around with us. When we got to the room, they smelled so clean and they were neat and orderly. The toilet in our room wouldn't flush so I called guest services and informed them of the problem. While we were enjoying the water park someone went in and fixed it. When we returned to our room, the toilet was functioning. I couldn't believe how fast they had someone there to fix it. The people at guest services were very friendly and helpful and always smiling. I would definitely stay at your hotel again! April 11, 2013
