Everything from the check-in, to the room, the comfortable bed, the food was wonderful. The ballroom was also clean, and the staff were very pleasant.

This is a rather nice hotel with open areas and good location. Staff was super friendly, nice restaurant with fair service, clean and nice rooms and no problem in regards to reservation.
Drawback: AC units are very noisy and when turned off one could hear units from other rooms which after a while is rather uncomfortable. The Internet wasn’t working apparently because they where replacing the whole system. I applaud renovations but I don’t understand why we still got a user access for an unavailable Internet service.

Was there for a weekend event. When I called to check on my reservation a couple of days before the event I found out that the rooms are too small for a roll-a-way. This was not explained to me when I originally made the reservation. So I had to book an extra room. They did give it to me at the event rate but it still was an added expense that wasn't planned on. We were able to get ground floor rooms but not connecting. My travel companions are in their 80's so that was helpful. We had a good time and enjoyed the hotel. Only thing that was disappointing was that at the event brunch I asked for a glass of milk and was told it wasn't included. So I had to purchase a glass of milk. Note not everyone drinks coffee or tea. There was juice but the waitstaff never offered us any. Ended up having to serve ourselves. Pool looked nice but wasn't able to use it.

I stay at this Holiday Inn and I came on a great day when they had a cocktail reception for their members. Food at the restaurant was very good. In highly recommend this location when I am staying in Flint area.

as someone that travels constantly, a hotel with wireless that is not working is worthless to me. They have a sign at the desk that they are working on fixing the problem, but it doesnt take that much to resolve the issue

When we returned for our second night ...late after my sons wedding, we found our bed not made, and all of our dirty towels still on the floor. it was obvious that our room had not been cleaned at all that day. Since it was late, around 3 am, we did not feel like dealing with it at that time, because we were so tired. Talk about disappointed. The next morning we had to use our dirty towels. Told the front desk about it as we checked out. They apologized, but no refund or discount on our stay. So needless to say, we were not impressed at all.

Hands down the best place to stay in Flint. The staff was wonderful and so was the room. J Porters downstairs has some of the BEST food in town along with one of the nicest bartenders that has ever served me. The girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay and cant wait to go back for another relaxing weekend. I would recommend this room to anyone who plans on staying in the area

The rooms needed cleaned. There was cobwebs on the walls and ceiling. This is the third time I have stayed and each time the room is not as clean as it should be.

The hotel is in a great location, however, it is a little old and out dated. The service was good and the people are very nice. For club members they do provide a welcome but it is only on Tuesday.

The hotel is apparently nice, but the staff are poorly trained and very inattentive...so don't expect to get to the hot tub! Spent my time trying to get: a phone book, figure out the phone system cost (lost my cell phone), and calming down from the frustration of getting anything that I requested from a corkscrew to addresses... This is an unusual experience for a Holiday Inn-- even Express).. When I get my courage up I may try one again... It is usually my hotel of choice for overnight in-and-out stays. But given choices in this range, probably not.

Good place. Close to airport but far enough that you do not hear it. They let me part my bike under the front canopy, which was nice to keep the rain off overnight. Thanks again and I will be back.

Plain and simple. The property looked great and was in a prime location, but, the room was in need of minor repair,mildew on the shower wall, basic mattress, dirty linen, and poor service. Specifically, asked the front desk staff twice, different staff each time, about an hour apart, for pool towels. A simple request and I was very patient. Both times I was told the towels were on there way. Finally asked a 3rd time and was told, "the hotel keeps buying towels but guest keep steeling them, what do you want us to do!". Wow! Did they mean me? Is this a safe place to stay? Why tell me this... The morning breakfast buffet included in my rate was very poor and wait staff/hostess were non existent silverware and glasses were dirty. The pool was nice and the hallways and common areas were clean. The ice machine on my floor was broken and the wedding reception was a bit loud. The GM was gracious. Overall, can't recommend this property. Sorry Flint HI, but you need to get your staffs attitudes in check.

Checking in was a pleasant experience. We found Dominique provided excellent customer service and made us feel like valued guests.
Unfortunately our experience coming and going from the hotel was not as pleasant as there were at least 3 people sitting on the bench in front of the hotel smoking night and day. Very unpleasant and not something I encounter at other hotels. Guests and staff don't usually smoke in front of the door.

Upon check inn, The receptionist was calmly trying to diffuse a client on the phone, who it was apparent, even to me, was being unreasonable. When she was finished her conversation, I was greeted with a big smile, and welcomed to the Holiday INN Flint. A very friendly and professional greeting. Room was clean, lobby was very nice. The pool area was great. I would recommend this property.

On arrival to the room the bedding had not been changed out (severe wrinkles in bed sheets and body fluids in multiple spots). Had to place towels to sleep on. Next day bedding was changed out and all was good. Complimentary coffe from 6-11am was hit and miss on having coffee in the air pots. Even asking for coffee on July 14 from J Porter's restaurant, who provides the coffee, resulted in no action taken.
Other than those two incidences, the staff was friendly and the price was fair.

I stay here every time I go home to Flint. I love it, it's beautiful, spacious, clean, friendly staff and a great location. Hope at the front desk always greets with a smile and goes above and beyond the call of duty. Shawda in the restaurant area is always pleasant and warm. This is my spot!

I was traveling from Ga to Flint, Mi and made my reservation online prior to arrival. Upon arriving at the hotel, the receptionist informed me that I was at the wrong location. She took the time to give me the correct address. I mentioned that I would like to stay at the location on Hill Rd. I was able to make the change over the phone and she checked me in immediately. She was such a breath of fresh air and went out of her way to ensure that my needs and desires were met. Keep up the great work!!! Semper Fi

I was at your hotel in the past with no regrets or problems. On Tuesday, 05/14/2013 I checked in for a next day conference being held in your hotel. Upon making the initial reservation, I asked if there was a microwave and refrigerator in my room. I was told "yes there is". Upon getting into the room, my husband noticed, "no fridge". I called the front desk only to be told the opposite of what the female intake person told me and that was there is no fridge or microwave in the jacuzzi suite. Mind you I ALWAYS stay in a jacuzzi suite when away at any given hotel! When I explained my frustration, then did he agree to send one up but only after telling me that they normally cost $10. I went to get ice in the ice bucket only to my dismay to find a used tea bag in the bottom when I went to put the clear bag into the bucket! When myself and husband used the jacuzzi, there was what appeared to be a stained footprint on the jacuzzi wall????? Upon balancing my checkbook out tonite, one day after check out, there is $15 added in addition to what my husband signed at check out. I immediately called and was told that it was for "incidentals", what????? I was told it would be dropped off within 1-2 days. I again, have stayed at this Holiday Inn in the past with absolutely NO problems but this time surely made up for it!!! I feel if there is going to be a incidental charge that is going to drop off in a couple of days, I should have been notified at time of making my reservation, upon checking in, upon checking out or at least a sign in the lobby. None of the above happened!!!! I cannot say I would recc this hotel to the 340+ persons that showed up at our conference again nor would I come back for another stay, business or pleasure. This holiday Inn really has ALOT to do in order to get with the times!!!! Never have I been so frustrated and angry in a long time!!!

I have stayed at this facility several times, while doing business in the Flint area, and would highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be in that area!
Pleasant staff, clean updated facility, and value for the money in accomadations, and the restaurant!
