Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Some good, some not so good! First of all, I needed to book a room for 2 nights but there were only rooms available using my IHG rewards for one night. Due to this it became necessary for me to book one night with my reward points and the other night I had to book SEPARATELY so I could pay for it. (I'm not sure why they can't find a way to do this as the same transaction so problems could be avoided-because this did lead to problems!) When I arrived at the hotel to check in around 7 pm the front desk attendant was on the phone. He did not greet me right away, but when he finally did he greeted me with, "We have no rooms available tonight!"! I quietly explained I already had a room booked and just needed to check in. He quickly told me he'd be with me in a minute. After almost 15 mins. he finally turned to check me in. As he was checking me in I attempted to explain my situation with the booking of the rooms in an attempt to make sure we wouldn't be required to check out by noon not be able to check back in until 3. He quickly responded that I was only booked for one night...I agreed and explained the situation again. He then stated that I would need to check with staff in the morning! I explained that I had no desire to check out and have to check in again-if that was the case we would move hotels for the second night...he then stated he would take care of it! He stated I would not need to do anything further. He'd make a note on the account! Feeling nervous about this in the morning I stopped at the front desk as we left for the day (I knew we'd be gone all day and not return until 6 or after). Again, I had to explain the situation to yet another staff member several times and there was NO note on the account! The young lady behind the desk quickly looked into the computer did some typing and turned and told me it was taken care of! We were assigned to the same room and we should be good! Upon my return we were NOT good! When we got to our room our key cards did not work! After a very long day and 2 young children I headed back downstairs to the front desk! When I explained the situation to the young lady behind the desk it was clear she was very worried about our room and our things! The computer had NO notes and we were not reassigned to our room!!!!!! She quickly apologized (she was extremely pleasant and appologetic...giving us a coupon for breakfast. Definitely the first positive interaction I had had with the staff!) She reprogrammed our key cards and we both "prayed" our things were still in the room!!!! Luckily, our things had remained in the room!!!! There has to be a better way to have staff handle the situation and deal with customers! Finally I wanted to state that the highway traffic was noisy and the water in the pool was extremely cold! Very disappointed with the pool it was one of the main reasons I had chose the hotel! We were looking forward to take the children swimming, but neither one would even get in the water! April 15, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality of food Stayed at this hotel because we were traveling with a child and thought it would be nice and easy to have room service and not have to go out. We ordered an hour and 15 mins before they closed, so plenty of time. Food took 45 mins, was cold, incorrect, items missing, was double charged auto-gratuity (yes there is a service fee and 18% auto, but they charged service free and TWO gratuities, claiming they didn't realize it was automatically put on when you order room service.) Food was greasy and nasty. In the restroom, it was a delilght (ha, ha!) to see the toilet seat up and feces on the toilet from a previous guest....gross! I always carry bleach wipes, so I cleaned it myself. This drives me nuts considering we ALWAYS tip housekeeping staff no matter what brand of hotel we stay at and even with the nasty bathroom, we still left tip. April 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly surprised We had not stayed in a Holiday Inn in a long time. I was very pleased with this one. The rooms and facility were clean (my main priority) and the bed was very comfortable. I didn't need them this trip but I like that there was a microwave and fridge in the room and I liked the availability of a shower instead of the tub/shower combo. We did have problems getting an internet connection but the hotel was experiencing some internet problems so I felt this was a minor issue. This particular Holiday Inn did not offer a complimentary breakfast which is a feature I appreciate when I travel. There was a hotel restaurant but we did not eat there so I can't speak to the prices or quality of the food. There were several other restaurant options in close to the hotel. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel. April 9, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Checking to validate room service charge The young lady that I complimented on previous notation was so concerned as we thought that our bill was more than we expected. She hunted for our bill while we had breakfast and everything was fine as we did not see itemized bill when brought to our room. She is just a special employee you have and I wish I could remember her name. She is definitely a keeper :-) April 3, 2015
