Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tom06 Nice hotel for a few nights. Food is so-so
We stayed for two nights with our two children. The pool is nice. Access to the beach a plus. The tiki bar on the beach is very nice for an evening drink but the food there is not very good.
The room is ok but a bit outdated and would need some new painting.
Overall it's a nice hotel for a few nights when passing in the area (like we did during our Florida tour) but I would not recommend it for a full week.

Always enjoy this location because of being on the beach, plus having a restaurant and Tiki Bar on site.
Rooms always clean, beds comforatable.
The only negative was the cleaning lady did not wait until we checked out and when we went back to our room she was in there cleaning in between our belongings. The front desk was notified and they apologized. ,

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by blondie67 Love the tiki bar, live music and location!
We recently spent three nights at the Holiday Inn on Ft. Myers Beach. Great location, nice room and great service. We originally planned to only stay one night, but ended up staying three. The front desk was very accomodating and made sure we could keep our same room. I loved the live entertainment from 5-8 nightly. It was a bit crazy in the bar for those hours, but then like on cue...the bar got quiet and things were basically shut down by 11pm. Our room faced the bar, so that was nice to be able to sleep. This is a very quiet hotel with great rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the bigger fridge, and the updated bathrooms. I would say this seems to be more of a adult hotel, although kids were around but very few. The beach access is fabulous, sunsets were gorgeous1 Will plan to stay again!

We simply loved this place and all it had to offer. We were able to relax by the pool & or beach. The staff kept us satisfied all the time. Recomended great places to eat near by with plenty of variations. The white sand beach was perfect. Would recomend to anyone looking to getaway and relax in a great enviroment. We met several other couples doing the same as us. Simply relaxing in the sun and surf! Loved it all!!!!

This would be a place in paradise once management addresses the plumbing issues. I checked out an hour earlier than required because I couldn't stand the sulfuric smells coming up from the sink and shower drains. Maintenance fixed the backup in the sink and the smells still continued.

Due to late arrival the night manager gave me a room that was just awful. The room was old and needed renovation and airconditioner that was really loud facing the parking lot. The night manager said that he could not do anything to change the room until the morning shift.
The next morning, the morning staff was very nice and moved me to new room which was in much better condition and with a nicer view. I was not sure whether they did this because I was platinum or they would do this for anyone. We went out sightseeing in the morning and by noon they moved all of our bags to the new room.
Unless you can get either a renovated room or one of the larger rooms that face the oceanfront, I would not stay at this hotel. In the reviews, the management team says that they are renovating the room and it will be done by end of the year. They are clearly working on it and it should be nice when it is completed.
The hotel is located on the south end of the island almost next to Bonita Springs. It is on the quieter side. You have to drive a few miles to get to noisier touristy area but we didn't mind having a young family. There is a CVS and a small strip mall across the street from the hotel where you can get an ice cream cone or grab some lunch.
We went to Pincher's crab shack. The seafood is good for a local chain. Fried Zuchinnis are awesome.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by carmel great service, great room
Great room, heard it had been recently renovated. Was quite large, bathroom was also quite large with walk in shower and attractive tile. Additional sink, outside of bathroom very handy, along with plates, utensils, etc.
The fridge was not working but was replaced within the hour and tv had an issue mid-stay but was fixed within 10 minutes. Room very clean upon arrival and every day during stay.
We booked in July for March and got a great rate.

The price for this two doulbe bed room after pack of spring break was way out of line. Had my wife and two teenagers with us and expected as a Holiday Inn room there would be two queen beds. We were wrong-they were double beds. Room had old worn towels and the bathroom was run down with a shower that was impossible to set a reasonable temperature. The staff was immature and doing pull ups on the building next to our room. It is located way south on the island, so if you want to exit the island on the north, plan on 1.5 hours to get there. The 'motel' is on the beach, but the water is 200-300 yards away. The only redeeming quality was the beach restaurant, which had good food at a reasonable price.
Very dissappointed with this Holiday Inn establishment.
