The price for this two doulbe bed room after pack of spring break was way out of line. Had my wife and two teenagers with us and expected as a Holiday Inn room there would be two queen beds. We were wrong-they were double beds. Room had old worn towels and the bathroom was run down with a shower that was impossible to set a reasonable temperature. The staff was immature and doing pull ups on the building next to our room. It is located way south on the island, so if you want to exit the island on the north, plan on 1.5 hours to get there. The 'motel' is on the beach, but the water is 200-300 yards away. The only redeeming quality was the beach restaurant, which had good food at a reasonable price.
Very dissappointed with this Holiday Inn establishment.

We had a few snags, we had another person assigned to our room and entered when we were sleeping. No elevator and requested to be by our friends and were not by them. Beach is great and pinchers is fun with live music every night.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn FMB after seeing it online. This was our first time at Ft. Myers Beach. Had a great time. The room was decent-typical hotel room with 2 double beds, the pool and restaurants were great and the location at the south end of FMB was excellent. We would definitely consider a return visit!

This is not set up like a hotel, it is a converted MOTEL. The A/C unit in our room was old and noisy. There was no microwave in the room which was very small. The only positive aspect is the access to the beach and the food was okay. We are priority club members and were very disappointed in this property. There are supposed to be benefits to being a Priority Club member but there are no benefits in the popular locations. We had an inferior room and were told there are no upgrades, the best rooms/suites are saved for the "paying" guests. I would not stay at this "motel" that calls itself a hotel again.

The Holiday Inn at Fort Myers Beach provided the perfect location for my wife and I to get away to and enjoy the beach for a few days in March. The location right on the beach can't be beat! Although our room was small and basic, we didn't come to stay in the room all day. We enjoyed swimming daily in the pool (with tiki bar) and walking twice a day on the beach. The hotel is located adjacent to some excellent restaurants, as well as great little places for lunch and breakfast (plus convenience store, drug store, etc). The staff was very friendly, always serving us with a smile. And our housekeeper kept up her valiant battle against the sand daily, keeping our room in great shape. My one complaint was that the wireless reception in our room was poor and we had to sit by the window or out on the balcony for a good signal. (On the bright side, the solid walls of the hotel made for a very quiet room. We couldn't hear a word from our neighbors.) For the location and amenities, I highly recommend this property.

We have a good time each time we stay here, although it is rather pricey in March. We have stayed here numerous times over the years and really appreciate its location on the beach.We are birders and walking south to the lagoon from the hotel is one activity that we look forward to during every Florida vacation. Dinner at the tiki bar is always fun. For the first time we ate inside at Pinchers because of the weather and had a very good meal. My one suggestion would be to add some outlets to the rooms! I realize that not everyone has to recharge four cameras, a phone and an iPad every day but we would definitely appreciate the convenience of more outlets.

I paid for my room in cash when i arrived and the hotel still chared my card the full amount and then each day i would get random amounts taken off my card from the hotel which lead to my banking blocking it and saying it had been cloned my the hotel!! I had 0 money to enjoy food or drinks and i came all the way from ENGLAND!! Do not stay at this HOTEL!!!!

This Holiday Inn is a bit pricey, but what do we expect being on the beach in spring? Everything was clean and in good working order, and the staff was very helpful. We came to photograph birds, and it's a terrific location for that, but the weather did not cooperate. We had to change our reservation, and folks at the desk made it easy, even though we had made our reservation at a discount with early billing (which did not happen). We may have been well treated because we are Priority Club members, but I suspect that most guests are treated that well.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Fort Myers Beach. The bed was comfortable, although with a king-sized bed the room felt a bit small. Pincher's Crab Shack Tiki Bar and Restaurant were awesome! We had a room with a parking lot view....... but the noise from the Tiki Bar did not disturb our sleep, as I am sure the rooms with the pool view had problems! The only downside is that I left my jewelry case behind in a bureau drawer and it has not been found. My mistake.........

This hotel while a little dated and modest was exactly what my family needed. The staff was friendly and accomodating, the restaurant served very good food, the room was comfortable, and it was just a short walk on soft sand to the Gulf. Our favorite part was the atmosphere...everyone was relaxed and friendly. On numerous occasions other guests stopped to visit with us...either outside of the rooms, or by the pool. It was VERY comfortable and I fully intend to return! A big THANK YOU to David and Leslie!

A very nice property to stay in Ft. Myers Beach. We booked the 2DBL room with privat balcony. Were able to relax in the late evening on the balcony with few drinks. However would not recomend the breakfast from hotel restaurant. We just enjoyed sandwiches that we have done by our self from indegriences bought in nearby Publix store. However the thiki bar is very nice with nice drinks. Just tell the folks at the bar not to put so much ice inside. Otherwise the drink become wattery after a while. However can fully recomend this location for a holiday stay. Will visit them again.

We had to change rooms during our stay due to room availability. No problem-my mistake with the reservations. Both rooms had bathroom problems. The first had a clogged tub drain and had the hot water valve replaced with a cold water valve at some time in the past, so it rotated in the wrong direction. The second room had a clogged sink drain and a shower curtain rod that was loose and sagging, so the curtain always wanted to slide to the middle. Overall, the bathrooms were shopworn and seedy.
Perks for a Platinum Level Priority Club member were virtually non-existent. Newspaper was not even delivered to the door. Instead, they hide them behind the desk and you have to ask for them.
Lastly, for two days, the pool was overrun by kids of non- guests who just walked in.

This room was hideously expensive even if it was on the beach. It was small, cramped, had mismatched furniture and wasn't all that clean. The only redeeming qualities about my stay were a decent bed, a fairly quiet night and a hot shower in the morning. I got stuck here because my usual place referred me here. Mistake!

If you are not renting a home or condo on Ft. Myers Beach, the Holiday Inn is a great value on one the most beautiful beaches 7 mile beaches I have seen in my many years as a travel agent. The hotel has a real vibrant scene especially for the over 50 crowd with live music, dancing and entertainment every night. The hotel has a feel of the Bahamas and with its fish restaurant on site, good burgers and reasonable breakfasts all geared toward the outdoors, it is a nice retreat in Florida. The hotel is also walking distance to other restaurants and shops and an easy drive to many attractions. The hotel also kept us busy with shuffle board, bags and ping pong. The staff was terrific, even helping us arrange transportation from the airport at midnight. We would have like HBO or Showtime in the room.

although an older style holiday inn it was a welcoming stay on the beach with a nice pool and restrauant, It's refreshing to know you don't have to stay in an 8 story condo/hotel and still be right on the beach. You will love it!

Fort Myers Beach is wonderful and exceeded by far my best expectations. The Holiday Inn is in a great location, very close to a CVS Pharmacy, a convenience store/gas station and restaurants. I walked every morning and late afternoon on the beach adjacent to the hotel and it was always a pleasure, particularly watching the sun set on the Gulf waters.
As to the hotel itself, I considered the experience positive, but would recommend:
- urgent replacement of the very old bathtub faucets by modern faucet mixers
- replacement of the mattresses and bed sheets
A last remark: as a Platinum Priority Club member, I would have appreciated to receive a welcome kit (no matter how simple) as is the practice in many other Holiday Inns.

For an older building, very clean and well kept. Had the old size bathroom which is much smaller than most newer facilities but it was updated and spotless. There is a great beach front location with a tropical Tiki Bar with 2-for-1 drinks and a band most evenings. In consideration for the guests, the band stopped playing about 9:00 PM. Many guests, including ourselves, enjoyed watching the crowd and the bands from our poolside balconies. The food , which we ate at the outside patio, was very good,with great service considering the crowd.
We would definitely stay here again as we love the location and the quality of accomodations, although it can be pricey,depending on the season.Our only complaint was that tea bags were not provided in the room. We were told to go to the restaurant where we were charged $1.00 for 6 tea bags.

My family had a wonderful stay on the beach and loved the staff at both the hotel and on site restaurant, Pinchers. We enjoyed the kids eat free, as it saved several dollars a day. The room was simple, but very well kept. The location on the beach is one of the best, nearly a 1/4 mile deep of the best white sand on the gulf. We loved the trolley for getting to downtown shopping, but found great restaurants and stores right across the street,
The pool was nice, clean, and warm. My kids loved it. My wife and I enjoyed the pool deck and the tiki bar. I would recommend this to anyone, but especially families looking for an affordable, relaxing vacation in paradise.

My wife and I just completed 10 days at this hotel. Loved the location, beach, staff, and restaurant! I don't get the people who gave bad reviews, must never be happy I guess. Maxine at the front desk was great and the rest of the front desk was very good as well. I was a platium member for many years and this location is to be commended for how all the employees (desk, maids, maint., food, beverage, etc.) treat the guests. Having the tiki bar there with music daily was an added plus. Look forward to staying again as soon as possible.

the room blew my mind i was a little shocked on the price but over all nestled inbetween all the tall buildings looking front and center out at the golf a beautfull 2 bed room 2 bath, large pattio, 2 sliding glass doors, living room, kitchen, all you needed was your clothes ,music, dancing in the white power sand, the sunrise in the morning when we woke up we never thought we would be drinking coffee and the sun was comming up,right in front of us never saw anthing so beautyfull in my life.7mile of beach i new this was going to be a memorable vacation i want to be their right now.. but stay a week. we only got 2 days wasent long enough planing all ready cant wait. thanks the beauchamp.

This was the first time staying at a Holiday Inn in a long time. The room was pretty small, but the floor had a very gritty feel to it and the shower drain obviously had not been cleaned for a while. For the money charged, I was quite disappointed.
