Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 214 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, needs a little updating Jaime and Michelle at the front desk are the best. They will make sure your room is perfect or will remedy the problem. The beds are comfortable and rooms are well insulated from the sounds of other rooms. The hotel is ageing and could use an update, especially in the heat/air system. To adjust the temperature you have to ask the front desk to send maintenance to change it manually. The carpet is starting to look aged as well. November 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Business in Ft Smith A great downtown location, convenient to dining and local museums. The hotel staff are extremely friendly. November 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast The breakfast was very good, however, the grapes were rotton (full of black and white mold), should be thoroughly cleaned and dried as well as observed before placing out; the bacon was extremely greasy - should be drained on paper towel or something to absorb the grease before placing out. Otherwise, the food was good. November 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet night and courteous staff We stay in Fort Smith often, and have stayed at all of the IHG hotels in the area multiple times. We enjoy each of them, but continue to return to Holiday Inn City Center because of the atmosphere. All of the staff are very courteous and helpful each time we are there. The Park Place Restaurant inside the hotel serves a very delicious breakfast whether ordering from the menu or going through the buffet line. We shall continue to return. November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent accomodations McCafferty School of Irish Dance had an excellent event! We have stayed at the Fort Smith Holiday Inn many years and we will continue our association with them for many years to come. November 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by the comfort of the bed the bed was too soft for me to get comfortable and it just made my back ache. November 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, beautiful lobby and amenities The staff was very accommodating and offered to upgrade our room for free. The lobby with its lighted glass elevators and waterfall are gorgeous. The carpet in the rooms is very outdated. The bed was very soft and had no support. The warm air in our room did not work. The Jacuzzi drain plug did not work so we could not use it. The fan squealed loudly and repair man said he would put WD-40 on it but he never came back to fix it. With some basic repairs and maybe some updating, this could be an extremely nice hotel. November 10, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Poor Review I came to the hotel as part of a small army group to attend a planning conference at Fort Chaffee. The following is a list of issues my party experienced. 1. I was awakened my first night by another guest who had been issues a key entering my room at 11pm. 2. My Commander (leader of the party) was denied a breakfast card because he was told he was there as part of a group. The other members of the group were issues cards. 3. My Commander's room was not cleaned. He had to go to the desk and ask for new towels. The desk was tracking his room had been serviced. 4. My Commander's room didn’t have a working heat system. After maintenance man came and adjusted the system it began leaking through his ceiling creating a large area of wet carpet. 5. During breakfast and dinner the hotel restaurant typically had one waitress. There were multiple instances were members of my party left the restaurant prior to getting food due to extended wait periods (sometimes 1 ½ hours). We have a major three week Army exercise at Fort Chaffee in June 14 and were considering this hotel as a base for 200 soldiers. After this experience we are looking elsewhere. November 6, 2014
