Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Someone sleeping in my room!? I check in, correct my departure date, and get my room key. I lug all my bags to the 5th floor. My room key does not work. I lug all my bags back to the lobby. The guy at the front desk gives me another key to the same room. I drag all my bags back to the 5th floor. This time the key works, but there is someone sleeping in the room. I drag all my bags back to the lobby. I am really tired now. The guy at the front dest insists he gave me the key to the correct room, and the room was empty. Tell that to the guy sleeping in the room. After arguing with me, he checks me into an unoccupied room. I lug all my bags back to the 5th floor. Everything was fine until they tried to check me out a day early, and I had to once again correct my departure date with the front desk. On a positive note, The television worked well, and there were a lot of HD channels. August 21, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Layover Spot This hotel seems brand new. Everythings very clean. I was a little worried because the price was so reasonable, but it's a beautiful facility. Staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to help. Location is very clean and secure. The shuttle drivers are very courteous and punctual. Over great value for our stop over. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude staff, expensive breakfast This was the last stop of a week long work trip. Every Holiday Inn we had stayed at up to this point was conformable and the staff really seemed accommodating to requests. Each hotel we stayed at had a meeting room that they allowed us to work in where we could set up laptops and write reports. Seems like a simple enough request specially if know on is using the meeting rooms. This location however made it their priority to not allow us to use the room because we did not make a reservation 24 hours in advance. They recommended we use the lobby instead which we did. An hour later we were asked to move because they had to setup for a private party. I must remind you that this private party was being setup in the lobby of the building. Without offering us any other locations to work then just started moving things around and being as unfriendly as possible to get us to leave. Needless to say, the experience was terrible and the staff were horrible. I even witnessed a manager screaming and yelling at a staffer in front of guests because a chair and table were not in the correct location. Beds were lumpy too. DO NOT STAY HERE July 31, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Clean My Room! We were there for 5 nights. Our bed was made the first night we were there and the last night we were there. Three days we came back to our room in the evening and found there were no clean towels. One day there was no toilet paper on the rollers. This property seemed to be more interested in filling their bar and dance floor with parties, rather than looking out for the comfort of their guest. The managers way of attempting to make things right was offering us a free breakfast one morning...I don't think so! Contact from an IHG service rep would be welcomed to discuss this in more detail. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2 stays and bad attitude from different staff members I have stayed at over 200 IHG hotels and this is by far the most unfriendly staff i have ever incountered. 1st stay i was waiting for shuttle from DFW for over 45 mins. i called the hotel again and was informed that the shuttle driver was just there and didnt see you, we wil send him again. he arrived and as i stepped towards the van he yelled at the top of his lungs HOLIDAY INN. i was only 5 feet from him. he made some stupid excuse about people not seeing him. 2nd visit , i needed to take the 4am shuttle to DFW, so i got to the front desk at 3:53 to find nooen there . after about 5 minutes and some noise making by me i heard a voice from behind a curtain saying" just leave your key" . when i informed the desk person that i was waiting for the 4am shuttle,he told me it had left already. i was quite upset and advised him that this would be my last stay at this facility. i guess i was too loud for him and i appolligized and told him i wasnt upset with him him rudley informed me that if i didnt SHUT UP he would have me removed from the premises. i have since stayed in the dallas area at other facilities and have good experiences. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN June 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by American Airlines Interview Stay at Holiday Inn I was surprised at the modern feel of the Holiday Inn experience. Newer Hotel. Great design, Clean, Friendly Staff. All the amenities a business traveler needs and then some. Great value with breakfast coupon included. Delicious and healthy choices for breakfast. Evening had activities planned for the neighborhood...but parking became an issue on a Friday night. Very close to the American Airlines Conference Center. Highly recommend it. June 5, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by straight out of the rap song my friends and I stayed at this hotel for the Kenny Chesney concert weekend. This was a mistake. Upon entering the room we were greeted with a large white biological-type stain on the curtain that was blowing in the AC. after our first night, our room was never cleaned, we received no new towels and our bed sheets were still strewn on the floor. To make matters worse, as we returned from the concert, we found no parking available. Apparently the hotel was having a Chingy style Holiday Inn party in the lobby area. Our ear drums were assaulted by offensive rap lyrics, and we could hear it echoing up the elevator. I have called and filed report and just received an email today... one month later. atrocious. This is not the level of comfort and hospitality I have grown accustomed to from IHG. June 4, 2013

It's clean and quiet which is really just what you need but I was disappointed that on two occasions, the staff forgot to bring me something I asked for. On Saturday, May 25th, I asked for an extra blanket (their "blankets" are so thin) at 3pm and I was told this would be right up. I never got the blanket and was cold the whole night. My husband and I woke up with sniffles. If we were to have lowered the AC (which is a unit and not central), the room felt too humid so we left it at 74 instead of 76. The next day, Sunday, I asked for 2 extra towels at 12pm before heading out to the Ft. Worth Zoo so we could go swimming when we got back and have towels ready for the shower but we didn't get those either. When I called to complain at 7pm, I was told that I would have to pick up the towels because housekeeping was out. I told them that I asked for the towels at 12pm (before we left for the zoo) and I was told "oh well, you will have to pick them up now". I was surprised. The service here is not the best at all, even when we checked in a lady at the front told us "you will have to add your member points online yourself", I told her flatly that we never have been told to do this and, being gold members, it's not like this is our first trip. Then she changed her attitude and said she would add the points - this was odd to me. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this place, the towels are scratchy and non-absorbent, the bed is stiff and the "blankets" are nothing more than double sheets. If the Indigo Hotel wasn't in the ugliest place in Downtown Dallas, I would have stayed there, the blankets were plush and I slept comfortably with central AC. Plus, the staff at the Indigo were really nice but I think the building is awful and the decor is a joke - they have stenciling above the elevator that was applied backwards so the words are a mirror image of what they should be. Good Luck Rosemary. - I made two reservations 19-22 May (one customer paying) and 22-25 May (another customer paying). Made this clear when I checked in. I work International Programs (Government) and have several countries paying for travel. - On the night of 24 May the night Manager came to my room and let me know I was supposed to check out 24 May. Not so much. See confirmation's 61206360 & 61213422. - Not sure what it takes to get an upgrade at this location. Above reservations were made on 12 April 2013. May not have been enough advance to get an upgrade for a Platinum Elite member. - Only reason for my return to this location was to meet up with a few friends (other frequent travelers# and see Rocket, Becca and a few other staff members that do provide good customer service. - It is obvious the manager (Richard) does not care about his resources or frequent guests #out of town guests and not the local clubbers that come Friday and Saturday). - Will not return to this location. It's going downhill fast. May 28, 2013

Salad wasn't as fresh, and one of the front desk personnel wasn't very helpful. Didn't acknowledge priority club member at all. April 23, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sort of a let down First, the hotel was great. The overall experience was lacking, but that was related to the personnel. Recognize I am a platinum level member, so I stay at Holiday Inn's frequently. 1. Distance from airport: For some reason it listed this hotel as the closest. With only a few hours between flights I wanted to be rested. 2. Shuttle: The shuttle service was horrible with nearly 1 hour at pickup in the morning and then in the morning, well, we will get to that momentarily. The driver was terse and rude, not very accommodating to other guests. 3. Room: Room was huge with great beds and the typical pillows. I am not a fan of the HI pillows, soft starts with perspective. Overall the room was great. One downer was that I reserved a King and was given 2 Queens. 4. Food: Wings and a salad, nothing spectacular and was a wee bit on the chilly side. Flavor was pretty good, just wish it had been warmer. 5. Staff: Here is where they simply failed the guest experience. first, I called at 03:45 for a shuttle, told me it would be there at 04:00. I arrived downstairs and looked for the shuttle. At 04:02 the desk person came out and stated that the shuttle had left at 04:00. Of course, I was standing there, no shuttle. Turns out the shuttle leaves based upon the front desk clock which is 5 minutes fast, ergo, left at 03:55. The next shuttle would not be 30-45 minutes. So, I had to take a taxi, at $30. When I asked why she did not state that the front desk clock is set 5 minutes faster than the rest of the planet, she simply stated "Would you like me to call you a cab?" Truth is I like Holiday Inn. In general they are predictable, regardless of your city. I will classify that and state, people make the difference and between the shuttle driver the previous evening and the woman at the front desk the next day, I simply cannot recommend the hotel. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room nice but bad restaurant and room service Went to restaurant for dinner my first night. Was seated in a very brightly lit dining area and I asked to move into lounge area. Sirloin steak was over cooked and hard. Was told it would take 45 mins to cook new order. Was told no manager on site to escalate to. Then a "manager" magically appeared to say they would try to be faster. I didn't mention how the baked potato was also over cooked because I needed to eat something while waiting for so long on another steak. Second steak came 20 minutes later and was perfect with my cold over cooked potato. Check came with no reduced price on $18 steak or offer to make my martini free. I didn't have the strength to bother explaining how to resolve poor customer service by at least reducing the check. Next morning I ordered breakfast of Oatmeal, fresh fruit and coffee at 7:15 am and was told it would be delivered in 20 minutes. At 7:55 am I called to find out where my breakfast was. I was told they would get it out ASAP and that they had forgotten about it. I don't plan on returning to this location. And yes I am a Priority Club Member. March 4, 2013

Great Amenities, lots of eating establishments in and around the hotel with sidewalks for walking - and room to breathe. The only downside was the lighting in the bathrooms - poor due to design, not because of light bulbs. March 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor shuttle service The shuttle driver was rude with our group of four, we needed a couple guests picked up from another terminal and he pretty much expressed his dislike to do this with a horrible attitude. I told him that we could take a taxi if this represented a problem, very unpleasant experience. His name was Rigo. February 20, 2013
