The front desk attendent was great! The bartender, cook, and maintanence person were really mad at hotel ownership/ management. Seems the owner decides to switch management companies every year so the employees get don't get their vacation, most of them for the last 3 years.
Needless to say they held this complaint session at the bar in front of all the customers until they decided to go smoke a cigarette out back while I sat with an empty drink. I finally just got up and left.

Bar tender was outside smoking and took her time to wait on us.
Morning waiters at breakfast, though very friendly, seemed to have one speed. Slow Motion

Asked for a late checkout and was told no because hotel was completely booked. After asking to be able to stay a half an hour over checkout time, was told there was no possibility. This seemed a little inconsiderate and not very customer friendly. As a priority club member it would have been nice to have a late checkout. I failed to understand that me checking out at 1 pm would really effect anything. Also I had to stay in the handicapped suite which was awkward and as such had several amenities I could not use (ironing board that attaches to wheelchair, shower chair, etc) and had no wear to put these devices. They were in the way and limited my use of the room.

Hotel needed some maintenance and upkeep. For example I hung up my towel and the towel rack fell down. TV needed updated.

We prefer Holiday Inn Express for all of our traveling and this was again a very pleasurable stay! We spent New Year's Eve in Ft. Worth and were able to utilize the hotel shuttle to Billy Bob's with no problem. The desk recommended a wonderful restaurant that we were more than pleased with and provided additional advice for our trip. We were able to take advantage of a late check-out, thank goodness! The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were wonderful! Thanks for a lovely stay - we would highly recommend HIE Fort Worth North - Fossil Creek!

I have stayed with Holiday Inn for years. In the past we have received amazing customer service. This location however is horrible. The absolute worst customer service I have ever had. We had a problem with our reservation and the front desk representative was completely rude, and would do absolutely do nothing to help us. He refused for almost 30 minutes to let us speak to the property manager, then when he overheard me telling corporate on my cell phone how he was acting he writes the woman's name and cell phone number on a scrap of paper and hands it to me. The manager did help us, however I noticed after everything was said and done, the young man overcharged me by $10. I just let it go. I will never stay with holiday inn again. All I can say is ridiculous.
