Many problems. Mainly filthy carpet. Should have been changed years ago. Keep your shoes on. Foul smell in hallways. No coffee in the lobby. Showing age and poor supervision.

While the king bed was very comfortable, we were surprised at the small pillows. We asked for some larger ones but were told that those were all you had available. Never seen that before!
We were pleased with the large accessible room. Easy to maneuver my scooter around.

Our room was nice, clean, bed was comfy and we slept well. But omg the carpet was so stained and blackish from old stains? that it looked like black grease had been rubbed into it.
That really is the only complaint, would be 5 stars otherwise.

We love going to Fountain Hills. Getting a room with the fountain view is a treat. You can enjoy the hourly show from the comfort of your room, whether rain or shine. Dining in the hotel restaurant is enjoyable on Saturday nights with live country music that is not too loud or obnoxious. This hotel is our favorite place to stay because of the amazing rates, usually half the price of similar properties in the valley. Love the triple sheeting and comforter. I went out and bought a comforter that same day.

We booked two king rooms for a long weekend family stay. We were accommodated in our request for 'fountain view' rooms. The entryway is nicely done in flagstone flooring with first floor hallways in a pergo type wood floor. Our third floor units were average rooms with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. One of the rooms had a jacuzzi tub right in the bedroom area. The pluses to this hotel are it is a very competitive price, it is across the street from the fountain of fountain hills, which in itself, is a beautiful park. There is a great restaurant called the Fireside Grill which we ate a good breakfast as well as a dinner. Good food and a varied menu. I believe this is the restaurant that provides room service if so desired. We loved the Mountain View Coffee Company across the street. There is also a restaurant called Euro Pizza.
The downside to this hotel, in my opinion, is the Fireside Grill has an outdoor patio in which a person who plays guitar and sings with amplification each night was annoying. The entertainment did end between 9:00 and 9:30 pm which was a very reasonable hour. I would suggest if something like this would be annoying, to get a room on the other end of the hotel.

When I checked in, I discovered that a reservation I had cancelled was not cancelled in their system. I was off-put but the woman at the front desk took care of everything. When she found out that my husband would be joining me for a romantic evening the next night (without the kids), she upgraded me to a king suite with a jacuzzi tub in the room and a view of the fountain! I was thrilled. My only complaints are minor: 1) the carpets are stained and worn. Sections, such as between the bath and the hallway, are almost totally threadbare; and 2) the fridge was really loud. I pulled it out from it's cabinet and after a few minutes, it cooled down and then was quiet. As soon as I returned it to its spot, it got loud again. I left it out of its cubby when I slept so it wouldn't disturb me. Great location and great price. Just don't eat at the All-American Bar & Grill down the road. It was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. We should have stayed for dinner at Fireside in the hotel.

I have been staying in this hotel for the past 12 years, twice a year. The service is always great. Solving any personal problem that I have with a smile. The location is beautiful and convenient. I always enjoy my stay. At one time there was a mistake in the booking, the manager alerted me and corrected it to my satisfaction.
