Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful and friendly staff We stayed three nights. The only negatives to our stay that we found were the size of the beds in the double room. Obviously, two queen size beds would have been more comfortable than two full size. This was a problem brought on by myself as I had to change our room reservation from a king room to a double room when our son decided to accompany us on our trip. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful in accommodating our room change request. Every encounter we had with the hotel staff was met with a smile and genuine hospitality. Even the housekeeping staff was friendly and smiling when we passed them in the halls. Upon our late arrival, the desk staff helped us find a late night place to eat. The room itself was quite clean and comfortable. We will be staying here the next time we are in the area. April 29, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room was comfortable Our plane delay made us late for check-in--about 2:00 a.m. I had made call en route to alert staff, and they were quite cordial. I totally slept through the rest of the night quite well and was surprised to awaken at 8:30! The bathroom served its purpose, but I wished for a lower shower head or a shower cap! April 29, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good, Bad and Ugly First two GOOD attributes. This hotel is pet-friendly, which is important to us. And the hotel is in a good location, with easy access to many restaurants, shops and other features. The BAD started when the hotel completely failed to fill our reservation as we requested and the front desk clerk insisted that they could not guarantee specific room types. We ended up on the second floor in a very small room with two regular beds. Then to make matters worse, this hotel does not have any elevators, so we had to carry everything up a flight of stairs and down a long hallway (luggage carts were useless on the second floor). Then the same problem when leaving. The UGLY mostly comes from the hotel having been built about fifty years ago. The furniture and carpets were in good condition but this is one of the older Holiday Inns having a "Holiday-dome" indoor pool area, which may be of interest to small children; however, we found it to be noisy and cluttered. The restaurant was very mediocre, so after a couple of meals there, we gave up on it. We stay in various hotels of the InterContinental Hotel Group fairly frequently, but think that the IHG management should take a careful look at many of the older Holiday Inns, either for major renovations or complete replacements.
