The room was large and clean and the location was central to downtown Fresno. Unfortunately on the night I was there the air conditioning was not working and it was extremely warm in the room. This should have been disclosed to me prior to check in. When I was unable to get the thermostat to work and called the front desk, I was told there was no air conditioning in any of the rooms. The clerk offered to send up a fan but it never arrived. In addition, the wireless internet was not working during my stay. The internet was a disappointment but the lack of air conditioning made for a long, somewhat sleepless night.

I would have given this hotel better ratings if it wasn't for some minor inconveniences. The wi-fi broke down over the weekend when I stayed. The restaurant food was somewhat overpriced for what you get. With Fresno located in the center of California's central valley farmlands, they could use some of the local fresh ingredients. The HVAC system broke down which made the rooms unbearably hot and stuffy. Finally, the hotel is located in an area that I don't find safe, especially with a casino nearby.
Otherwise, the staff was pleasant and as helpful as they could be.

Upon check in I was given a room that someone was already in. I opened the door to the room to find a lady and her belongings and quickly returned to the front desk. Acted like surprised this could happen only to learn next day it happened 5 times that night. Gave me another room. Room was 73 degrees so I tried to change. Hard to see the temp on thermostat so tried to turn on hall entry light. Burned out. Used my phone to read it. Didn't work. After a night of little sleep due to hot room I packed my stuff and left it by the door. Informed the front desk if air not fixed please move my stuff to bell hop and I would find another hotel. Left my phone number and said to contact me if I needed to move. Nothing until I returned at 10:30 pm. Went to room expecting cool room. Now 78 degrees. Went to front desk and told whole hotel is without air and wont be fixed till noon tomorrow. Same exact lady I said I thought you were to call me and she just said sorry I didn't do that. brought me a fan but not a huge help. Another night of little sleep. I went to the front desk next morning and said I was upset. She asked if 1000 points would make me not be upset. I said I'm calling IHG. She then asked if I wanted the room to be comped and I said I think you should which she then did. Better but I'm still disappointed by the hotel and the horrible communication that I dealt with. Then I find out my stay doesn't count towards point because it was now a non qualifying stay. NICE!
