My daughter and I were in town for a softball tournament. The first room we checked into had a mildew smell and the bathtub had a constant drip. I called the front desk and they moved me to a different room no problem. The new room was fresh and had no problems. It was extremely convenient having a restaurant on site at the hotel. After a looong day on the fields, tha last thing we wanted to do was walk or drive to a restaurant, or order pizza again.
The beds and pillows were comfortable and we slept like rocks. The rest of the team stayed at another hotel a couple of miles away...and needless to say, their experience was not a relaxing, to put it mildly.

We have stayed here a couple of times and will cont to go back. The hotel staff is very accommodating and friendly! Even though our rm had a tbrush, sock and wrapper left that the cleaning people left under the bed and O'Malleys food service was pretty slow, it will not deter us away from going back! The facility is kept clean and up to date.

Our room was very nice overall, however the bed frame on one of the beds was bigger than the box spring and mattress which caused my Wife and I both to bang our ankles on a metal bar that stuck out about 6 to 8 inches farther than the bed. The metal bar was hidden by the bed skirt, so you couldn't see it. Breakfast was not very good. I would advise passing on adding breakfast to your stay package. Overall, the hotel and their staff is very nice. I was especially impressed with the staff. Everyone was very friendly and professional. We were staying there with a 10 year old youth baseball team and they were very patient with the kids, even when they needed to settle down. I would not hessitate to stay at holliday inn gaithersburg again.

I have been staying at this hotel each week for over a year. The people at the front desk make every effort to be friendly and helpful. Isidro, one of the managers, does an excellent job. Cira, George, Barak and the rest of the team make every effort to get to know the guests.
This hotel is a good value in a good location for business travel.

I spent almost 2 weeks at the HI Gathersburg, MD and even with the hectic schedule, it was nice to have a clean, quiet place to rest. I would use it any time I'm in the area

Second time at this hotel. This time around had a family w/ kids next door and was able to hear most of their conversations/ running. When they quieted down - could hear the people on the other side talking pretty quietly. Didn't notice any noise from the hall.
If the AC was on - it drowns out the room to room noise, but you'd have to turn your TV way up to be able to hear it. I would have preferred to have the fan on continuously, but it cycles off with the AC if you want cooling.

The hotel and its staff were great. The location proved to be prime due to all the activities and sights within walking and driving distance. The restaurant/pub attached had amazing food that we enjoyed multiple times during the stay. Though all of that was good the initial description and communication with the receptionist were a bit off. On the sight there is a statement about pets not being allowed in the hotel, this however was not the case as I observed multiple dogs walking through the lobby. While I believe that it is great that they offer this as a convenience to animal owners I wish that I had advance notice due to a severe animal allergy one of my guests had. The second bit that was misleading was the presence of a microwave and a fridge. Upon being asked the desk clerk stated that all rooms came standard with these two appliances. When in reality, I had to pay 15.00 a night to have them in my room. While the fee is not high, I still wish that I had been given the correct information and warned of the fee. All-in-All I would say that the Holiday Inn had a great, hospitable atmosphere and would definitely stay again and recommend it to family and friends.

I stayed there once before and was pleased with my visit. This time I did not like my room. It was tucked away in a corner, smelled musty, and was in need of some repair and update. The staff was great as before.

My family stayed at he Holiday Inn at Gaithersburg, MD during a baseball tournament. The whole team had a great time in the pool. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and well decorated. I will definitely stay at the hotel again the next time I am in the area.

The hotel was nice and clean. The two reasons that I did not give it a 5 star were that the rooms are a bit outdated and the front desk did not have the information posted about the wedding I was attending...the wedding shuttle information showed up on the check in counter after the wedding :/

Great Experience overall. The rooms were clean and looks as if the carpet was new. Comfortable beds...no complains about the room.
What we did not like was the service in the Restaurant. They were short staffed for breakfast and made sure you knew it. They were not rude but it was impossible to get a cup of coffee and when you asked they looked "put out" that you wanted coffee. There were half of the tables open, but it took 10 minutes to seat us and than they gave us a table by the coffee service station...annoying when there were a lot other tables to put us at. It should have been staffed much better...I blame this on management! They had a wedding #we were going to that#, a soccer team with coaches and another reception #this is what I saw and noticed...I'm sure there was more# and they had 2 servers for breakfast. The bar, Mulligan's, service was fantastic! Friendly, nice and very accommodating! Besides the breakfast, which I would not have again, the hotel was clean, kept up and overall okay!

Great customer service, super comfortable and clean room and bathroom. I normally don't like staying in very large hotels knowing lots of people are around. Even though it was very busy upon checking in, things went fast and smooth and there was no extra noise during the night. Loved the new bedding on the beds and the bathroom was spotless and everything smelled fresh and clean.

I visited the hotel for one night on a hot a humid day. Used the pool and fitness center. Room was lovely, cool, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent with lots of fresh fruit. Highly recommended.

Woke up back hurting . Had to sit up in chair and doze! Way to expensive a room for this kind of old beds! I can assure you I'm not the first to complain! Hotel didn't check my Priority status?

My wife and I planned a week stay in DC. We flew a small airplane to Gaithersburg Airpark a day early. The operator of the Airpark reccomended the Holiday Inn for the night because of available shuttle service and a helpful staff. Within 20 minutes we were picked up from the Airpark and delivered to the hotel. Upon arrival, Isidro the manager on duty, was expertly juggling several customers and was ably assisted by Shirley who had picked us up. In just a few minutes we were given a room which was by far the nicest ever experienced in our 32 years together. The price was nice too! The next morning we enjoyed a full breakfast and Isidro arranged our return transportation to the Airpark. Barack delivered us back in the shuttle and we were soon on our way to one of the most memormorable vacations for two mid-western travelers.
The hotel accomodations and the staff in Gaithersburg were superior. We would like to stay there again the next time we travel from our home state of Wisconsin. We both highly reccomend this place to others because of the bright and cheerful staff as well as the comfortable setting.

I stayed in this hotel back in December and I thought it was great. However, I returned in early May and I have to say I was greatly disapppointed. Half of the equippment in the fitness area was broken. The phone in the room were broken. I had to ask room service to come clean the room and they didn't show up until 5pm.
I am hoping this was a one off and not a decline of the hotel.

I have to say this property is my home away from home. This hotel is number 1 in my book. I enjoy coming to the holiday inn Gaithersburg. The front desk, catering, housekeeping, and management and the restaurant personnel make me feel very welcome. ISIDRO, JULIE, ORVILLE, and ALan and VIRGINIA and all the rest and you know who you are are AWESOME people. Keep up the good work. :) The Georgia DAWG Fan. lol

The pub in this hotel doesn't look like much but the food was truely wonderful. Didn't eat at the restaurant so can't say anything about that.
The room and bathroom is small but I think that is the case for anything in D.C. area.
Overall, nice play to stay.

I had never been to Washington DC before. I had hotel points so stayed here 5 nights free. It was out of the way but slowely appreciated the shuttle bus takes you within 5 miles of the hotel and it was easy to pre-book the night before and at least one hour before I come back. All the hotel staff were friendly, from reception, breakfast, bar and cleaning lady. The only suggestion I have is that the hotel offer conceige e.g. ideas for foreigners - places to go/ of local interest-a noticeboard! I was also fortunate to be there during the hot sunshine, great pool, but no where to sit outside or use a lounger in the sunshine which was disappointing.
