The staff and the facility were great. We had a very nice stay and would stay at the hotel again in the future.

When a customer request a certain type room and am told during the reservation process, and told by the front desk personnel that the room preference had been granted...then make sure that you provide the requested room. I requested adjoining rooms and the individual who took my reservation acknowledged my request, and the front desk person stated emphatically that my request was being honored when I checked in, but was shocked to find out that my request had not been honored. I was given rooms 504 and 503 when I should have been given either 505/503 or 504/506. This problem resulted in my grandson having to sleep across the hall, and not next door.

I've stayed at this property before and will likely do so again because of its location. This wasn't my best experience. The first night I checked in around 9:30. The desk agent was okay but not terribly helpful. I had to call down at 11:30 and request a new room because the heater/air conditioner sounded like a jack hammer. Had to go to the desk to get a key to the new room(had to pack all my stuff etc.) to be given the room next door to my previous room. Would have been nice to have the key delivered. No apologies given. The next day I left the hotel at 8:00 in the morning and retuned at 10:30 at night to find my room had 't been serviced. Had to wait for 20 minutes for someone to bring me fresh towels.

The first night of our stay we decided to eat at the hotel, what a mistake. At about 7pm, one would think the staff on hand would not just rely on the bar tender to also be the only restaurant staff too. The food while it was hot, it was very disappointing. We had inquired as to what the most popular items on the menu were and ordered as such. The next day at breakfast the food was also very disappointing, the gravy for the biscuits was tasting more like wall paper paste than gravy. The eggs seemed to be prepared by microwave oven rather than by skillet. Although an IHG member, we will not be eating at another property anytime in the future. They have invested lots of money into renovations, but the quality of the food and preparation of the food has NOT seen a penny of the renovation budget.

Overall, the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the bar staff and restaurant staff were very efficient. The only issue was that the room was not completely cleaned. The beds were made, but that was all. The wet towels were still on floor of bathroom and the wastebasket was not not emptied. We requested clean towels, but when they were delivered, they were all bathmats and no towels. However, when we stopped at front desk and requested towels, we received them promptly.

My stay was a good experience. The staff were nice, the quality of the room was very good, and the amenities offered served their purpose. I enjoyed the convenient location to the highway, restaurant selection in the area, and the calm atmosphere.
