The overall experience was good, smooth check in and out and no problems picking up the car on the return from our holiday. Bus runs every 15 minutes to and from the terminals.Rooms are clean and staff are very helpfull.

Got in from London before my flight home next morning to the Caribbean. Front desk staff were genuinely friendly and a nice surprise was the complimentary room upgrade. Small but comfortable room, better than the Crowne Plaza I had stayed at during the week in Shoreditch. The restaurant and bar had few menu choices - food was ok nevertheless, and the ambiance was quite relaxing. Was able to have a decent night's rest - I have to admit that there was something cozily addictive about the bed. Check out early next morning was no problem at all and once again I must mention the friendliness and willingness of the hotel staff to please for any request that I made. Loved my stay, and will definitely consider staying here again whenever I fly thru Gatwick. Many thanks to the hotel staff for making my experience a good one, do keep up the excellent service level.

What could have been a really nice stay turned into a considerable inconvenience because of one missing service -free WiFi.
In this age I expect WiFi to be available freely in any hotel (or campground or marina) that I stay at. However in this hotel signing up for wifi would add nearly 30% to the room cost. I found this throwback to the 90's entirely unacceptable, so I did not sign up for it. Unfortunately that meant that I missed the email notification that my flight departure was delayed five hours, so I had five hours in the airport to fume.
This is unfortunate since otherwise this is a very comfortable modern hotel and a good value for the area. However there are many other hotels in the area.

A good nights sleep at the back of the hotel.Comfortable bed and good size room.We did not eat in as we were told the restaurant was very busy in the night,we eat at the six bells pub down the road.We used the hotel for one nights stay and parking for the car whilst on holiday abroad.Our car was muddy on one side though when we returned,the small islands separating the parking areas should be covered with wood chip or Tarmac would cure this as people are parking on the raised islands,after rain,the cars are causing this problem..We used The shuttle bus ,it was ok to and from the airport.Will stay here again.

We found the hotel easy to find friendly & helpfull.
Easy to park & leave car for the duration of our Holliday.
We thought the Breakfast was rather Pricey though!
The Coach transfer to & from Gatwick Airport Excellent on time & promt pick ups. Stunned at how easy it was with out any fuss.
If we travel from Gatwick Airport again we will definately use this hotel again.

Would definitely stay here again. Lovely clean room and bathroom, staff were really helpful and polite. Food was excellent! I only stayed for one night with my daughter and her 7 week old baby, found hotel staff to be very accommodating and kind. Well done Holiday Inn, very high standard!

I have stayed in this hotel the last three times I have visited the UK. It is excellent for accommodation when you need somewhere on arrival or prior to departure from LGW. We have used a family room which comfortably fitted four of us for the overnight stay. The breakfast option is worthwhile too.

We stayed for one night only but the food and room were excellent. The convenience of being able to park and ride to Gatwick was superb. If we travel from/to Gatwick again we would certainly look to stay here again.

On checking in the first room allocated to me it smelt like an ashtray. Bearing in mind no smoking has been in force for some time in the UK, I found this not to be observed.
The second room allocated to me had no hot water. The best I could get was tepid. I was then allocated a third room. Some cigarette smell, but not on the same scale as the first room. The shower, again, did not have hot water and the toilet flush was a bit hit and miss. The fourth room was an executive room with a power shower and no cigarette odour.
The meal pretty much mirrored the lack of hot water. The fish was piping hot; however, all of the vegetables were stone cold.
The staff did their best moving me about, but I did not find 'the have a drink on us' - they were ratcheting up - to really placate me. This is meant to be a Holiday Inn, yet I have found the Express Inns to be far superior to this. I doubt I will stay here again. The impression I received was as people were only here for a night, they wouldn't complain about the facilities. Very poor.

We had an overnight stay before flying from gatwick airport. Our one year old's daughter's eye swelled up dramatically by the morning of our flight, however the staff copied a map and then arranged a taxi to Redhill Hospital. They could not have been more helpful - a big thank you to all; especially Jonathan on reception

This hotel manages to offer personal service, with great eficiency although they are in a high demand area.
Everyone was friendly, and helpful.
The only request would be that in the Sport Bar,, there was one
wall which did not have a large TV screen. It is
distracting when trying to talk or read. Single travellers of course like to see news etc.
However, many thanks.

This hotel is the perfect location if you are flying from Gatwick. The shuttle bus is good value and runs every 15 minutes. The hotel itself and the service are also very good. On arrival I was recognised as a priority club member and offered a choice of a free drink from the bar or a voucher for 500 points. This is the first time in seven years I’ve received any such recognition as a member. My only gripe is the charge for wi-fi. As a platinum member it would be nice to be offered some sort of discount or free wi-fi access.

The staff both at reception and general staff, have all been well trained to be most helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
We were even helped to check in at the airport on the desk computer.

Good location for pre holiday stay with car parking. Efficient bus transport to air terminal and return to hotel. We stay at Holiday Inns because you know what you get. One negetive point on car parking, if you have the necessity to move cars for whatever reason do not park them on very muddy ground, I could not get near my car door without having to tread through waterlogged muddy ground. My shoes are ruined,had to fumble around in the rain in my suitcase to find another pair of shoes to drive home in.
If you have a parking problem tarmac the grass verges !!

At less than £50 for this night this was exceptional value for an airport stopover. The shuttle bus to/from the terminal is a bit pricey at £3 per person for the short trip each way, but you can't really complain when the accommodation is inexpensive.

Overall comfortable rooms and staff at reception very professional but not at the bar. He does not seem very interested when i used the complimentary coupon. so i did not get my complimentary crisps.
Also at this time and age wifi should be complimentary.

Booked this hotel before going on holiday. Telephone in the room was not working therefore had to use my own mobile to contact reception. Not enough bedding, towels and refreshements in the room for a family. Called reception over 6 times to get that rectified. Emailed a complaint to the hotel and the got an out of office reply from the manager. I also tried to contact them via phone but no one returns my calls or email.
VERY POOR SERVICE FOR A HOLIDAY INN

Stayed for 2 nights , then returned for night before return flight. The first customer service team were great, we had awesome service, and wish we could spend more time thanks Welucas ( he is polish and I've spelt it wrong) and Aaron and Alicia... very helpful, pleasant staff.. the 2nd visit we were not so lucky and got the not so great team.. There are ventilation problems they are aware of, but don't seem to be able to fix, apart from that it was good. The first room was really clean.I'll be checking to ensure the A team is on service the next time I have to visit.. On the down side, the wifi is expensive, so we did not use it.

Myself, my husband and our two young children stayed here before flying abroad.
We weren't looking forward to it but the staff and facilities made it stress free and enjoyable, from booking over the phone, to housekeeping and especially at dinner.
We were made to feel welcome and we all enjoyed our stay, we will definitely be staying again!
