Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight stay My stay was not as good as I normally have at this establishment. I was allocated a room that was the opposite of what is indicated in my profile. I was allocated a twin room when my travel preference is a double bed. The WiFi didn't work for ihg club member. Also the TV alarm system did work on this visit. March 29, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Restaurant & Bar - lacked customer service Perhaps it was bad timing on my behalf but after pre booking dinner Bed & breakfast then I was entitled to expect when I wanted to eat ! At dinner due to a large coach party I was aksed to wait firstly for 5 mins to get a table ready, then on my return asked to come back 45 minutes later!!! I then kicked up a fuss I I should have been informed by reception when checking in details of conveneint eating that evening> At breakfast it was extremely busy and once again had to wait, but on this ocassion did not have the time due to my flight arrangements. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best, but comfortable enough! Good service overall, though when I stayed one night I tried to rebooked a room for a week later and the price was 50GBP more expensive. When I arrived, after speaking to some friends who were also there, they had also experienced a price hike of approx. 50GBP on their room. Seems like when its busy the price of the rooms go up quite considerably. I use this hotel a lot as it is straight across from the terminal, but next time I will be looking round the corner at the other hotels available Some of the staff do need some customer relationship training, as after I was discovered smoking in my room(and the hotel does advertise smoking rooms on their booking site, though when you arrive they don't have any?# I was fined 100gbp, the DM #Duty Manager) was less than courteous and had no idea how to speak to me other than demand I pay the fine? I work all over the world in the hospitality industry, and if one of my staff spoke to a customer discourteously, they would be up for re-training, or if it was a senior member, they would be put on a customer relation course Also, depending on which floor/room you are in the internet can be very slow March 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overnite stay outward and inward The service was friendly in all areas of the hotel, our dinner on return in the restaurant was very nice - Guinness steak pie and good portion. If anything the restaurant menu for dinner could be bit more varied would be my only comment. I have stayed here in the past when travelling and would be happy to do so again. March 26, 2015

Light and spacious reception area, good dining room, and good seating areas at bar and around reception. Good sized bedroom and bathroom, well sound-proofed. Room was so warm we had to turn the air conditioning/heating unit off as we couldn't turn it low enough. Staff were very helpful and always smiling. A great place to stay. March 23, 2015
