Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Elpaso2013 Comfortable Room
We had overnight stay prior to our flight to USA . We arrived and we were promptly attended to at reception. However ,we had booked a double room but the room we were allocated had twin beds and not a double. As we were only there for one night we didn't complain. The room was very comfortable and spotless but it would have been nice to have had some biscuits on the hospitality tray. Overall it was a good experience.

Ok hotel if travelling from Glasgow airport. Just a 30 second walk to departures.. Because of the above I suspect the hotel doesn't get many returning visitors.. For this reason the staff in paticular reception staff are very inpersonal. As always with people there are one or two excellent staff " bar staff"..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by alan111 Absence of free wi-fi
The latest of several enjoyable vists. The hotel is still perfect for accommodation BUT like virtually all UK hotels it lags behind the rest of the world in having no free wi-fi. It was very easy to connect, but my American guests would not believe the charge until their bill arrived.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Woody1114 Holiday inn Glasgow
We decided that before flying off to Spain on Saturday we would stay at the Holiday Inn at Glasgow airport the night before and book our car into the airport car park for 15 days, all part of the deal.
Our daughter and her fiancé joined us for dinner in the restaurant where the food was wonderful.
The bedroom was well equipped and our nights sleep was restful.
Breakfast was ok but the dining room staff appear to be understaffed and chasing their tails.
The walk to the airport is only about 100m from the hotel and makes for a relaxed start to ones holiday.
Would we book here again. A big yes.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Audimadmike Nice, Comfortable but Expensive
Room was clean and comfortable, staff were very pleasant and food was good. Unfortunately it was expensive, the food in particular and one of the few B&B's that only included B! &B was a £14 extra which I skipped after being fleeced for £12 parking.
Would recommend as was good quality but not if cost is at all important.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rsmacleod Great balance of convenience and comfort
So many airport hotels are a really poor compromise between convenience and quality and this Holiday Inn has it figured out. THe hotel is literally right across the street from the airport so access to the terminal takes 3-4 minutes by foot. And the hotel itself is as complete and well configured as any downtown spot, with generous room size, nice modern bathrooms and very good soundproofing in the walls and windows. I did not hear a plane at all and had to look out the window to be sure I was really next to an airport.
I did not try the food or other amenities (typical quick overnight stay before an early flight) but the place looks very new and clean. Staff were fine, although perhaps understaffed in the morning, when it seemed there was a lot of both check in and departures.
I would use this place again in a heart beat.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AnnieMac73 Great way to start/end your journey
The hotel is in the perfect location, directly across from the terminals. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was great. The beds were comfortable. There was no noise from either outside or adjacent rooms/corridor. The hotel is a great place to have a quiet night before or after your journey.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Raj03 Nothing to mention other than the location
We were in Glasgow for one night between Newcastle and Islay. Internet was charged even being an IHG member.
Without haven requested for one we were given the Disabled room (evident from the bathroom layout). It was a hot evening and there were no windows for recirculation. Probably an odd day for Glasgow.
If not for a flight to catch the next morning, I would certainly not recommend this property to anyone.

Literally across the street from the airport we were able to turn our car in earlier
The rooms are fairly small but the bed was comfortable and there were pillow choices! Was there during summer of 2013 heat wave and room was pretty warm
We ate in the bar (stops serving at 11 pm) and I thought the food was pretty good - definitely above what you normally get in a hotel bar - servers were friendly and nice!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hibernian70 first class experience
we booked into this hotel the day before our departure to Canada from Glasgow airport, mostly because we had a very early check in for our flight, and driving from Edinburgh we thought "sod's law" law might just scupper our holiday if the car broke down as the next flight was on the following week, so everything turned out as planned.
everything about the hotel was great, a minutes walk from the terminal bldg, great room, staff, and breakfast, especially when my wife asked if there was porridge on the menu, the answer was an apologetic no, but the chef would be glad to make her some, which he did, how good was that?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kawalazi Good Value
My wife and I stayed one night in July 2013. We decided to stay at an hotel close to Glasgow Airport as we had an early flight the following day. We chose Holiday Inn as it was the closest hotel to the airport buildings and it seemed good value. The hotel was busy and staff were good. Our only disappointment was that having made a reservation for a twin room nearly two months ahead of our stay we were given a room for disabled occupants with a double bed! After comp;aiming we were offered a twin room with three beds.

Whe I checked in Iwa advised by the receptionist I could have a free drink in the bar or 500 extra points. I chose the points and I was advised that he would put them through for me. I normally get a voucher but he said they had changed this for the better of the guests. I have still not received htese points and i have written twice to IHG and had no reply. Very very poor service for a loyal customer.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Borch Not enough air condition and high cost wifi, no washcloths
Air was not sufficient. Need to have king size beds. We had to have twins. Friends had to have one double bed for them and their daughter. She had to sleep on the floor.
Most big hotel chains have free wifi. There cost was very high.
Had no wash cloths.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AndyB9 Perfect Place for an early flight
We had an early flight from the airport and staying here made it a breeze. You roll your bags out of the door, cross the street and you are in the departure hall....
The hotel was clean, the rooms excellent and not a bad place for a beer or a dram either.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Egilsen Convenient Location
Overall, this is a comfortable, quiet and very conveniently located hotel. Our room was better than average size and the staff are friendly and courteous. The only complaint we have about the hotel is that there is no free internet service -- not even in the business center or lobby. So many hotels these days offer free internet service as an amenity. We were surprised that Holiday Inn is not among them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sandra06 Excellent food and service
This was my first stay in Glasgow and was seeing my son off to Australia for a year. I was sharing a room with my daughter and 2yr old grand-daughter. The room was lovely and made more so as there was air con which was a god send as the summer had arrived. We had our meal in the restaurant where the choice of food was more than adequate and the quality was excellent. Staff were excellent too and even carried in a small birthday sponge with candles lit for my daughter. We slept extremely well as the bed was soooo comfy. Breakfast was also lovely and so much choice. The staff are a credit to themselves and the hotel can't praise them enough , they made a stressful time a lot easier. It was wonderful just to cross the road to the Airport and would definitely return Thank you all so much

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 TELL PEOPLE THERE ARE TWO HOLIDAY INN AND MAKE SURE YOU GO TO THE RIGHT ONE
very good hotel very near the airport, but had same problem as lots and lots of other people.there are TWO holiday inns at Glasgow airport but nobody tells you this, one is an express and lots of people are seen going from one to the other and then back again.
THE DRINKS ARE V V EXPENSIVE YOU SHOULD BRING YOUR OWN.
COULD NOT FIND A VENDING MACHINE FOR COLD DRINKS AND NO ICE MACHINE

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrsJS Great place near airport
This was an excellent hotel to choose before an early morning flight. Reasonably priced, comfortable and quiet room (amazing considering how close it is to the airport), restaurant offers a range of food at reasonable prices. This hotel could be hugely overpriced and it is to its credit that it is not. Second summer I have used it and I will use it again. And in the morning it is a two minute stroll to check in.

Looked forward to landing at Glasgow after two and a half hour delay due to Portuguese air strikes. Not disappointed. Smiling reception staff on arrival, fab room and comfiest bed.
Great to taste a real sausage and breakfast selection amazing. Too full to try pancakes but next time definitely.
Never heard a plane land or take off at all.
Stay here you will love it . Thank you.
