Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nightmare! Arrived at hotel at the arranged time of 2.00am after a 5 hour flight from Tenerife. When we got to the room, the toiletries in the room were half used and there was a used sanitary towel in the bin provided. Certainly not what we expected! In fairness, when I went back to Reception, the Duty Manager overheard my conversation with the Receptionist and immediately offered an upgraded room and added 5,000 points to my IHG Rewards account. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 3 \major failings Our room was cold, the temperature could not be adjusted and there were no blankets for the beds My wife ordered a glass of house white wine with her evening meal and was charged £8.50 for a 'medium' glass My wife ordered breast of chicken for her main course. This was served with pickled red cabbage. This is not acceptable as a vegetable for this meal. The meal should have been sent back, but after a day's travelling we decided against this July 4, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Some good points, some less so Very pleasant and attentive Front Desk staff, waiting staff less so, seemed a little stressed. Continental breakfast needs more variety ie. more fresh fruit selection, perhaps some smoked salmon, purely subjective as I never partake of the cooked breakfast. Towels in bathroom in great need of replacement and corridors could do with a little refresh. However, over all, a good hotel for a quick stop over before a flight. June 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good hotel Overall a good stay. Have stayed here before and as always check in is very busy so allow extra time if you are rushing anywhere. The restaurant gets very busy and as with other holiday inns I find it annoying that they add the service charge onto your restaurant bill by default. You have to ask to have it removed which is very uncomfortable. Tipping should be discretionary but for some reason some holiday inns including this one make you ask to have it removed. Room size is fine and the quality of the food was good. Parking charges are expensive but it is at the airport so to be expected. June 29, 2015
