Due to business, I'm a frequent user of this hotel. Every stay is a good stay which is why this has become my hotel of choice. The reception staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and professional and happy to engage us "lone travellers" in some much welcome conversation after our busy working days.
Food quality at breakfast is great, but ff you fancy a change from the standard buffet breakfast - try one one the specials which are usually hand delivered to the table by the chef (nice touch!). Everything is served with a smile and the staff are ubiquious - especially Claudine and Paola!
Evening meals are equally good with a varied menu that can be tweaked to suit! Again you are served by an equally dedicated team of attentive staff such as Julie, Ben and Darina.

Another great short break at Holiday Inn! Increasingly a trusted brand for me as we have now visited several different Holiday Inns and find them consistently good. In this case food again excellent and service first class. We like the fact that staff always look smart, are always polite (even a friendly hello from cleaners you pass in the corridors - always impressive!) and seem genuinely interested in you as a guest. Room up to the usual high standard. Pancake making machine at breakfast a great innovation - please roll out!
Only suggestion for improvement would be review price of food. We were on an excellent deal which included dinner but it is noticeable how few guests use the restaurant in the evening. A few used the bar instead but reducing the price of meals or increasing the number of deals including dinner would no doubt make a big difference. You have to staff the restaurant for those who do use it so it makes sense to try and get more people using it to cover costs.

The hotel, food and accommodation are all of the quality and standard you would expect. What set this experience apart was the response after I left an item in the room. The staff found the item for me, rang me to let me know and dispatched it (free of charge) to my home address. This was real customer service in action, not the lip service that many organisations give.
First rate people.

stayed two nights last week to visit & explore cotswolds. Very convenient location for access to Gloucester,Cheltenham and surrounding villages. Friendly,helpful & welcoming staff-nothing was too much trouble and we felt like valued customers. Room and public areas were very clean,breakfast selection and availability was good, fresh and tasty. Also had dinner in the hotel restaurant 1 evening which was also good, freshly cooked & personal requests fulfilled. Definately recommend this hotel and will stay again

It was great to find a hotel that had no problems with sleeping 3 children in the family room :) Room was enormous even with the extra bed. Facilities at hotel great, kids loved pool + jacuzzi. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Location was great for Gloucester and Cheltenham, Stow, Bourton etc. We had a great 3 days exploring only wish it was warmer, still the sauna made up for that!! Would definitely re-visit.

Already given you a good review on Trip Advisor. All the staff at the hotel were so friendly, happy and, where applicable helpful. Nice room which was quiet especially for the Easter weekend. Good facilities with well heated pool and good gym. One of the mornings we were one of the last to breakfast but they did not run out of anything and breakfast was really good, but, and this is the only reason why 4 stars for food, you should invest in a tea/coffee self service machine like the HI Express as you have more choice, as the coffee we had was not that hot any morning and it was "stewed" and had a sort of film over it. After 2 mornings we gave up on the coffee. Much better to have the machine on self serve. Good car parking area. Would definitely stay again.

Nice room, like the spa. The only issue is that I am on business and the lighting in the room is a bit dim for working- though desk lamps are provided. On the flip side of this though, the room is comfortable, as is the bed and I slept very well.
The restaurant food was nice.
The staff are very friendly.

This is an Ok hotel. But during this winter I have found the duvets they use on the beds too light and there are no over blankets to place on the bed if you need one.
Room nice other than this issue.
I know you could say to leave the heating on all night. But I hate the noise of the fan running all night and the dry air. Also, to use heating all night is bad of the environment and the hotels electricity bill.

The staff were very friendly and professional, the room was clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. The food was lovely and I would not hesitate to stay again. The location is also great. I only have good things to say about my stay!

Always a warm welcome from Emily and Steff on the front desk.
The rooms are clean and tidy, the restaurant staff are attentive.
I am staying there at least once a week due to work and I don't have to worry about strange hotels when I know I'm staying here.
My only criticism is that the menu could do with updating in the restaurant.

Overall, the service was not too bad but I wasn't happy wth the meal we had on the first night and I thought the waiters were too familiar. I think they should not be overfriendly. Wasnt much choice on the menu and it was very expensive.

I stay here on a regular basis on business and am always made to feel welcome on each return visit by reception staff. The restuarant staff are also extremely friendly, anticipate my needs and are always happy to tweak menu options to suit my tastes/needs.
The bedroom comfort is of a very good standard and is well equipped with all essentials, including an iron and ironing board.
The hotel has gym and swimming pool facilities along with treatments rooms just in case you want to treat yourself to some pampering during your stay.

Very good hotel, room quiet and bed very comfortable. Breakfast good, unfortunately coffee on the bitter side. Staff very helpful, even took time to telephone night before arrival to warn that the restaurant was fully booked but bar meals available, what service!
Well done to all just buy a different coffee for the restaurant!!

Check-in was friendly and efficient, giving a good start to our stay. The room was larger than expected, with a very comfortable bed. The excellent blackout curtains at the windows were extremely useful. Breakfast was very tasty, with plenty of choices on the menu. The only problem we had was in mistakenly walking past our room, as all the corridors looked the same.

I stayed in this hotel with a group and two out of 5 family rooms were really big. I have not seen that big in other holiday inn hotels. One room had a small fridge and it was quite useful. The breakfast was really good. They served hot breakfast and a member of staff was cooking a fried egg there and then. I haven't seen this in any other Holiday inns. The location was excellent to visit Cotswold and for shopping. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in Christmas eve and Christmas day and the reception was giving out crackers and sweets for visitors. My daughter and other children in my group really enjoyed them. Overall, it was a nice and comfortable stay. I would recommend this hotel to other people.

I booked for a relaxing weekend to visit Gloucester with my wife. On the first evening we were informed that the restaurant was closed for a wedding party so we selected from the bar menu but as the restaurant is merely an extension of the bar area in open plan the noise was so invasive we could not enjoy our snack.
On the second evening we rang to book a meal in the restaurant and were told it would be closing early due Christmas events taking place, so we booked for 7pm. When we went down the restaurant was closed and we were ushered to a meeting room and were given an improvised menu which was not even to the standard of the bar menu. It had burgers, pizzas, all quickly prepared options, there was nothing for a relaxing evening meal with my wife. We eventually decided not to eat and went to the Chef and Brewer across the road.
On return we had an apology from the ops. manager along with a bottle of wine and a voucher for a discounted meal the following day, which we couldn't use as we travelled home that day.
I have stayed numerous times at Holiday Inns in the UK and this was my worst experience. If I had been informed upon arrival of the situation we could have made alternative arrangements. This was not the case.
Sorry, even though the Ops Manager did her best I still felt let down by the level of service at this Holiday Inn location

Stayed in room 121 for 2 nights (which was fine) then had to move to room 118 as our room was booked out to someone else.
Beware room 118 is next to a service room and the door is slammed loudly throughout the day. When we asked the maid if the door could be closed quetly we were firstly told that nothing could be done as it need to stay shut for security reasons. It then became louder so next day the door was wedged open. We went out in the pouring rain to a pub for some peace. Next morning was fine.
No public areas where you could relax.

Star rating was based on experience of being a Platinum member. Overall I had a good stay, however, in comparison to the many other Holiday Inns I've stayed in around the world I thought there was much more room for improvement for Platinum members.
Ususally as a minimum free bottles of water & buscuits are provided in the room daily, others have provided complimentary chocolates & wine and many provide members with a club lounge offering free drinks (including alcholic beverages) and snacks for a limited period. This Holiday Inn provides none of the above and gives no additional benefits to long serving members from standard customers. Pitty.

Whilst the room I stayed in was compact, it was clean and met my requirements, as I was travelling on business. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I did not eat in the resturant for dinner, but did enjoy the room service and breakfast in teh resturant area the following morning. overall good impression and satisfied with my stay. As a priority club memeber the hour free interenet access was a lovley touch.

A very poor hotel with very small rooms. The pool and gym are nice but the reception staff are very poor. I got two breakfast vouchers as I was told you could eat from 6.30 am
Breakfast is not available till 7.30 on a Saturday so I asked for a refund on the voucher, being a platinum member and as it was the hotels fault you might have thought it would be simple, but the duty manager had to get involved all for £10.50.
Nothing at all was available for priority members.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the service was second to none. All staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We booked in advance and our deal included breakfast. The range of food available for breakfast was vast and staff were attentive but not intrusive. We did request vegetarian sausages which weren't available ,but the chef offered to have them in for the following morning.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others,

Hotel was in a good location for us just of M5 J11A Evesham early so decided to stay the night. Staff on reception very nice and helpful. Room was good but sofa beb a bit small for our son but ok for one night. Pool ect good with sauna steam room and spar.
