Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay!! Rooms are outdated and property looks old. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definetely stay there again. April 23, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room and comfortable bed My wife doesn't like outside room entrances on her hotel stays. So this didn't start well. Room was clean but the pocket door to bathroom drug and was hard to open and close plus not very private bathroom experience. The rooms are dated but clean and quiet, The door didn't have any weather striping at all. So could hear noises outside. Always request a upstairs room but there aren't any elevators here so changed to ground level. They ask about food and beverage and all the way down the coast with all the Holiday Inn Expresses that I stayed at they have a free breakfast and always have complementary coffee, which here they had none that I saw. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stay away from one bartender Older night time outside bartender is the only reason whole trip was not good. Chased me off from the unmarked night time fire pit because I had my own beer. Yet she let her regulars carry their own drinks up. I did buy drinks while their over the 10 nights I stayed. On the flip the front desk was very helpful and even hinted to the Irish on St Pats Day. They are the reason I would come back . March 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location and excellent staff The stay was nice and comfortable. The fire place at open bar rocks. The only con is that they don't have a fitness center and have tie-up with a club that is very far. There are good fitness center like Spectrum and AC4 that could have been a better option. It's a thumps up for the staff's hospitality. March 23, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room & Staff Staff not very helpful. Room needs updating. Not too clean. March 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom lacks privacy The room in general was OK. Noticed the cob-webs in the corner of the room almost immediatley, which made me wonder about the general cleanliness of the entire room. The room, however, was clean. The bathroom is separated from the 'living' area by a slightly flimsy sliding opaque door, which had no lock. Not too much of an issue if your alone or with your spouse, but when also accompanied by 2 young adult son's....it feels a bit awkward. The sliding door was rather noisy during the opening and closing so had to be moved very slowly during the night. The light from the bathroom then lights up the area where eveyone else is sleeping. The pool and patio area were wonderful. The fire-pit was perfect for the cool beach area evening. As most of our time spent in Goleta was visiting family in the area, we did not have the opportunity to make use of the pool or on site restaurant. All in all, the stay was nice. The grounds were well kept, and the area was very quiet during the night. I would highly suggest a more private layout for the bathroom/ March 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, problems with rewards The room, hotel, and staff were lovely. We enjoyed our stay and all amenities were high quality. The problem is that we booked the trip on a combination of points from myself, my husband, points/cash, and a free night certificate. The Priority Club staff scrambled the reservation and each person I spoke with added a layer of complication. Eventually it all was worked out, but it took hours before, during, and after my vacation. February 16, 2013
