Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom lacks privacy The room in general was OK. Noticed the cob-webs in the corner of the room almost immediatley, which made me wonder about the general cleanliness of the entire room. The room, however, was clean. The bathroom is separated from the 'living' area by a slightly flimsy sliding opaque door, which had no lock. Not too much of an issue if your alone or with your spouse, but when also accompanied by 2 young adult son's....it feels a bit awkward. The sliding door was rather noisy during the opening and closing so had to be moved very slowly during the night. The light from the bathroom then lights up the area where eveyone else is sleeping. The pool and patio area were wonderful. The fire-pit was perfect for the cool beach area evening. As most of our time spent in Goleta was visiting family in the area, we did not have the opportunity to make use of the pool or on site restaurant. All in all, the stay was nice. The grounds were well kept, and the area was very quiet during the night. I would highly suggest a more private layout for the bathroom/ March 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, problems with rewards The room, hotel, and staff were lovely. We enjoyed our stay and all amenities were high quality. The problem is that we booked the trip on a combination of points from myself, my husband, points/cash, and a free night certificate. The Priority Club staff scrambled the reservation and each person I spoke with added a layer of complication. Eventually it all was worked out, but it took hours before, during, and after my vacation. February 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Frequent stayer This is somewhat of an older style property (motel style), however the rooms, property , and lobby area have been remodeled. Once you walk into your room you'll never know the difference. Thank you for installing the new flat screen T.V.'s with HD! The one issue I had is the draft that comes from around the door, it really needs to have weather stripping or something of that nature installed, the rooms tend to be very drafty. However I have many more stays in the future and will continue to use this property. February 6, 2013

Not really a fan of rooms that do not have an enterance via a hallway. Regardless of hotel brands, seems like other guests are always hanging outside my room enjoying their loud conversations. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Needs a Jacuzzi Our stay was fine. Nice accommodations, and the body lotion and amenities were a nice touch, especially in the time-to-pamper-oneself Santa Barbara area. One thing I must say. The person who greeted us and took care of our room reservation said that the pool was heated. I was looking forward to some California water, although it was January. The pool was not heated. My gosh, it was like ice. Therefore, no California dip during the first week of January. (Well, that was just too bad.) But, a jacuzzi/whirlpool/hot tub would have been a nice thing to have on the premises, especially while visiting the beautiful SB area. That is my only recommendation for the Holiday Inn, Goleta. I extended my syay another evening because of the comfort level I felt. The front desk staff was awesome and because of my overall positive experience I will book my lodging needs at this location for our next family vacation! December 4, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Very disappointed in the experience and the property given other Holiday Inn Express stays in other locales. Over priced and under delivered in every category. Will not return. Furthermore, a hot breakfast was not included in the rate like the other locales I have been to, so this really made the property one I would not go back to. The rate was also the highest of 3 Holiday Inn Express properties I have been to. Also, only received 1 water and 1 granola bar even though there were 2 people in our party. Room was dirty, dated and in need of a complete makeover. December 4, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very dirty I booked an overnight stay for a business meeting at the SB-Goleta property. The room was cramped, dirty and in desperate need of a facelift. The carpet and furniture were stained and had the feel they haven't upgraded since the mid sixties. Very disappointing. November 22, 2012

Also the tile in the bathrooms were disgusting and your feet were dirty after you got out of the shower. HORRIBLE experience. Would not recommend to anyone. November 10, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay for the price I stayed here for two nights for a buisness trip. there is no on site fitness center but the staff was helpful in getting me in the holiday inn shuttle to visit the gym nearby for FREE! that was awesome and they picked me up, and the bar and fire pit by the pool really helped me relax especially the free drink for being a priority member! rooms are comfy the old tv's are kinda weird, and theres no free breakfest :(. but i dont think u need a free breakfest for this holiday inn there is a great shoppin center with all kinds of places for breakfest right across the street. thank you for all the great service. Thank you for a wonderful stay. this property was perfectly placed for our visit to Solvang and Santa Barbara area (tucked just between the two). The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The pool area is quite nice (as is the pool bar!). We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
