Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Business Center Fail For the Business Traveler this property needs to do a better job. Business Center printer out of ink and no spare cartridge, unacceptable. Business Center cleanliness a definite fail. Overall the hotel has a worn and tired look; lots of deferred maintenance. Overall a C- (at best). June 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place for Canadians to stay and do some US shopping I stay here often whenever I travel to US for shopping. It is off the beaten track and the river view rooms are amazing. Grand Island is a calm and serene place to stay and just a 10 minute drive either north to Niagara Falls or south to Amherst for some great shopping. Will be absolutely staying here several times in my lifetime... June 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location Our stay was OK. There were some drainage problems in the bath room that were resolved. We were supposed to get 500 priority club points for the promotion card given to us by the hotel during check-in. We never received the points. Tried to call the hotel front desk but they are not helping. I think this was not honest. May 22, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service The desk staff were rude and slow to respond. Too busy talking/texting on personal phone to check in. We were given a room that had not been cleaned. No soap, coffee clean towels, bedding was dirty. The room we were moved to was next to the elevator and very noisy. We were continued with the disrepect at check out the next morning. The desk manager would not let us talk to the hotel manager. We were still charged the full amount. May 16, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Close to Niagara Falls We stayed here for several days using reward points. The hotel is under renovation and we were told it will no longer be a Holiday Inn after June as it has been purchased by foreign investors and will be turned into an upscale resort and spa. Our room on the fifth floor was adequate with a lovely view of the river. There isn't much to do on Grand Island and Niagara Falls is a toll bridge away but it was pleasant to get away from the tourist buses and casino traffic at the end of the day. May 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice stay We and other family members were in town for a funeral. We found this hotel to be very comfortable and it worked perfectly for us. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. On our first evening there they even provided a large meeting room for us to gather. The hotel is undergoing some renovations and updating but that did not affect us. Although we did not use the pools, fitness areas, or restaurant/bar, they appear to be very nice. The rooms have a balcony with a sliding door. Stores and pizza nearby. We would stay there again. May 3, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would not recommend this hotel. The room had torn bed sheets and bedskirts. Wallpaper was coming apart at the seams. Eleorvates where not working half the time. The pool area was a great disapoint the ceiling was peeling and hanging and the hot tub jets didn't work. Also the water in the hot tub had a weird corcol to it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. April 12, 2013
