Staff very friendly and room and bathroom clean! Weird door in bathroom- that works as both the bathroom door and the toilet fan in bathroom either. Great quiet sleep even though we were opposite the elevator. Would stay here again. Good value for money. August 6, 2014

I would recommend this HI: the room was clean, the staff are personable and professional, and it is located in a quiet area. My kids enjoyed the pool. We used Reward points. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mid Week Stay While i was in grand rapids for business i stayed in the hotel during my free time mostly. I didn't have a rental car, but there are many restaurants and businesses that are very close, about 1/2 mile. There is a restaurant in the hotel it self which i would compare to a tidy bar and grill. All the employees were looking to help out when they can, even picking me up at 10pm from the airport. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great restaurant staff and service We stayed five nights here, first night at second floor, it was kind of noisy that came from upper floor room, then we moved to 3rd floor and it has no problem after that, Restaurant staffs were very nice, Hotel close shopping center, and sightseeing park, and near Davenport University where my daughter had a Volleyball training camp, July 25, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VERY DISAPPOINTING BREAKFAST, BUT NICE ROOM. I received a nice price on the room and was very pleased with the accommodations, cleanliness and customer service. I was also given some breakfast vouchers (which by the way normally cost over and above the cost of the room) therefore we were looking forward to a fantastic breakfast buffet on Sunday morning. Ugghh!!! We anxiously made it down to the breakfast buffet only to find a big huge pile of greasy bacon and scrambled eggs. No pancakes, no fruit, ... no variety,... no nice breakfast buffet like we were expecting. I've seen free breakfasts at hotels better than this one. Let's just say we were very dissatisfied with the breakfast. If you're looking for a nice room, we recommend, but skip the breakfast. Take a drive down the road to one of the neighboring restaurants to have a nice breakfast the morning of your stay. :) July 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprisingly Nice! I wasn't expecting this hotel to be this upscale and comfortable. It's safe to say it was probably the best Holiday Inn in which I've stayed. The first impression was impressive, the area was near many restaurants, and away from busy highways and streets. Other family members stayed at a HI Express near M6 and THIS hotel was much better in every way! The room was nearly perfect, although the view wasn't the best. The bed was more comfortable than other expensive hotels. The front desk and bar staff were exceptional and made mention of our Platinum status and gave us an upgrade even though we used points for the stay. Kudos to management and staff. July 2, 2014

The staff were exceptionally friendly, both the interior and exterior of the hotel were fantastic, and the amenities were an unexpected surprise. Didn't really feel inviting. -Otherwise the lounge was nice and good food, breakfast buffet was a little torn apart but to be expected I guess they had some kind of volleyball tournament or something going on. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location to GR Arts Festival We were here for the GR Arts Festival. The hotel was nice. I rated the staff fair because of the bartender, Zack. We came to the bar on Saturday, hoping to watch the Belmont Horse Race. Soccer was on the TV; there were two other gentlemen at the bar; we asked Zack if he could turn the channel to the race, which would only be about 2 minutes long; he said the men wanted to watch soccer, although when we asked them they didn't care. It was clear Zack wanted to watch soccer. He had an attitude and couldn't understand why we didn't want to watch soccer and made a derogatory comment to me about it. We took our drinks up to our room to watch; I didn't want to stay in the bar any longer with Zack. This may seem petty, but the customer should be the main focus, not what the bartender wants! Otherwise, it was a very nice stay; the front desk staff were excellent!! June 11, 2014
