Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Not the Nicest Holiday Inn
As a frequent Holiday Inn patron, I can tell you that there are much nicer Holiday Inns available to stay in. This one is under renovation which is necessary. Everything feels outdated and the layout is a bit awkward (for a Convention).
Our room was comfortable, although when making the reservation I specifically requested NOT to be next to the pool and guess where we ended up? Fortunately there was not a strong chlorine smell. The beds were comfortable, as usual, but the bathroom was very dated and the fan very noisy.
The staff, aside from the front desk, was also not very friendly.
Based on the quality of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff, and the price, I feel there are much better deals out there.

The room we stayed in was considered renovated, however the air conditioning unit made a continuous loud noise all day and night. The sink leaked from a broken pipe onto the " new" carpet. The tub had a slow drain and there were paint spackle on the fixtures and around the doors as well. The hotel smelled of old musty air and the indoor pool was not in service. We will not be staying there again in the future.

The place was tore up, I would not recommend right know. The Staff were very nice and deserve recognition for trying to make people confortable.

We stayed for 4 nights and only had internet one day. We heard that the construction team uses the internet most of the day and may have made it difficult for us to access it. The room next to us was being renovated and the dust was in our room. There was no plastic or other barrier to stop the dust from the rooms or hallways. Several times we did have to ask for cleaning service as the hallways were obstructed with the tools and materials use in the renovation. We have used this hotel several times but were disappointed as to the construction going on in several locations. There could have been less exposure to the renovations if the work was done in one area instead of three difference location on the first floor.

I was really unhappy with this stay. I didn't know it was under construction and pool wouldn't be working. Hardly any internet signal and very slow, chair was broken in room. Bathroom was small and outdated. no continental breakfast and no fridge or microwave in room. Room was damp and smelled. Bed very uncomfortable. Staff was really nice and bar was cool. Close to casino.

The hotel is under severe constructions (cardboard on the walls of the elevators, microwaves and mini fridges in the hallways - outside every other room, our room was wrapped in plastic so we couldn't open the door to the balcony or receive any sunlight from outside - as if we were quarantined, the doors are very thin - got to listen to one of the other 3 rooms run in and out of their room until after 1 a.m. and slam the door each time, the floors / ceilings are also very thin - were woken up by the people upstairs coming in around 2:30 a.m., and the hotel staff gave us the wrong room and then argued with us when we asked to be changed to the room we requested when we booked. We were told that because we gave a preference of a bed size, when booking, does not guarantee us that option because we were booking a room within a block for wedding guests. Why did you ask if we had a preference then? We were told that no one bed rooms were available so I told them that we would not be staying; all of a sudden, there's a room? Seems fishy.

Our overall experience at this Holiday Inn was Very Good (although the rating above only says good). The rooms are very nice, clean, bed comfortable for a good nice sleep. Food in the restaurant was very good. Food at the dinner we attended was excellent. They are experiencing remodeling right now and it is quite noisy in the lobby, so sitting and relaxing there was not an option.
