On 10/17/13, Jack was the front desk employee. I found him to be extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable and efficient!!!
This was my third (total of 5 nights) stay at your hotel in a 3 week period.
Jack so outshines all the other front desk clerks in that I just had to take this opportunity to rave on your extraordinary employee.
(Do not know what you are paying him, but it is not enough, lol!)

We were up for UMD Family Weekend. I googled almost all hotels in immediate area. Bad reviews on all of them. So I googled Greenbelt, MD, and got a good review on Holiday Inn. Was not disappointed. True to review, and I will definitely stay again. Very close to UMD!

The hotel is conveniently located relative to nearby institutions, although if you want to walk, you need to cross half a mile of parking lots to reach the nearby shopping center. Front-desk staff okay, rooms clean and comfortable. Internet connection sometimes a little slow but works. Restaurant staff very friendly, breakfast excellent and not too expensive. Restaurant staff allowed me to sit there a full day discussing with a colleague who I could not meet at another place due to the government shutdown. Thanks for your friendly help!

I stay here ALL the time. My only suggestion is that the hotel's shuttle service needs to be expanded to include the shopping center.I see a lot of guests walking back from the shopping center with bags and a lot of times they are heavy. It's not a short walk either. I know that all of the guests myself included would appreciate the expanded shuttle service.

This is one of the nicer holiday Inns that I have been to. I would have loved that there are more restaurant choices in the area, but that is not fault of the hotel. I will stay here again for sure when im in town for work.

Overall, a positive experience, but nothing special. Reasonably good value for the money. This is a Holiday Inn after all, not a 5-star resort. The desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The first room I was given had not been cleaned properly (smelled bad, trash and dirty towels left inside drawers, etc.) and when I called they came right up and immediately gave me keys to a new room. This was after a long 10-hour drive and I suppose I was expecting a little more sympathy (like an upgrade to a suite or help with my bags getting up to the next floor/new room), but they were certainly apologetic and polite.
Very average food at the restaurant, but the bigger issue was the slow service and casual attitudes of some of the wait staff. Polite, but not particularly motivated/attentive. (Waitress was a young woman more interested in the male co-workers.)
This was a 2-day business trip, so my needs/expectations were not high and I was not disappointed or taken by surprise. I would stay here again, but more likely to look for an alternative next time. But trust me, you could do a LOT worse. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and dark and I slept very well.

We went to a football game at FedEx field hotel is only about 15 min drive. Hotel was very nice up to date and very clean. Would stay here again for sure.

I am very pleased with the highest level of service received on numerous stays (over the past decade) at the Holiday Inn in Greenbelt, Maryland. In sum, this is my preferred location among all of the accomdations options in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The staff is highly courteous and professional. The site is secure, convenient, and the rooms are confortable. I will highly recommend this site to my friends and colleagues.

I spoke wirh a eepresentative by the name Ban who told me the rate quoted included breakfast. When I vhecked in I was advised that breakfast wss $10/person. This added $40.00/day to my 2-day trip. I was traveling due to death in the family.
Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay.u

I booked the hotel and car through Orbitz. The front-desk was very professional and courteous. The location cannot be better. walking distance to many shops and restaurants. safe neighborhood. it was perfect for me because i wanted to be in the middle between DC and Baltimore.

I have been staying at this particular location for quite some time and all I can say is you can never go wrong with that, especially as the neighborhood is so safe and parking availability is more than awesome... all i can say is Give it a try, I bet you will stick to it...

I have stayed at the hotel several times while moving or visiting my son at the University of Maryland. I find the Hotel convenient and reasonably priced. The welcoming staff are friendly and efficient and the rooms are for the most part clean and pleasant . However after arriving in the evening we where excited to stay at the hotel and enjoy the bar and some food . When we went to the bar we ordered some bar food and drinks . The food was disgusting , and the bar was broken,dirty and had several fowl orders.

The hotel needs updating, it is old and for the most part appears unclean. The grout between the tiles in the bathroom floor of my hotel room was missing and made it uncomfortable to walk on. As an immediate fix I used a towel to cover the flooring.
I will not be returning to this facility.

Mr. E (Manager) assisted in rectifying an issue I had. Once this was resolved I must admit it was uphill from there. We will continue to stay at this hotel and highly recommend it!!! The rooms are clean and comfortable. They offered hot beverages in the lobby which was indeed appreciated.
As a Travel Agent I will continue to send my clients to your hotel and your sister hotels. Thanks again for an enjoyable stay.

We were in town for a Redskins game. The hotel met all of our expectations. Close to FedEx field, The room was nice and spotless. We had lunch by the pool and breakfast the next morning, would highly reccomend. The staff was very cordial. GREAT place to stay....

The rooms were clean and the hotel help was ok but didn't go out of their way to tell us about the restaurant. When I went to the restaurant, they asked me if I had a coupon. No one at the front desk mentioned a coupon and when I asked them about a coupon for the restaurant for breakfast, the clerk said my room doesn't get a coupon. Even the cheapest hotels have a complementary breakfast. In addition, I paid the $10.00 for the breakfast buffet and it had dried out scrambled eggs, overcooked bacon, and greasy sausage. Definitely not worth $10.00.
If we have to go back to College Park, MD I think we will stay somewhere else.

I was only there to sleep because I had a very early flight in the morning. The room overall was ok. The bed was comfortable, I used the microwave and refrigerator which were great to have. However, I had no running water in the tub/shower. No water at all. I didn't realize this until 4am and because I had a flight to catch, I did not have time to call it in and wait for someone to come fix it which forced me to wash up in the sink. The most of the channels on the tv were very fuzzy. I only found a few channels that were clear. Also, I noticed trash on the ground in the parking lot and a old beat up grocery cart. That to me seemed like something someone could go pick up to keep your parking lot clean. I left very early in the morning and intended on saying something to the front desk before I left but there was no one there at the time. I have lived in Greenbelt before and am a true Washingtonian. I am aware of the tourists that we get. I would hate for a tourist to not want to return to to your hotel because of these things I found.

I had a very pleasant experience. My room was relaxing, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The Wi-Fi was down for a significant amount of time and connecting to the internet was challenging, but that was the downside. Otherwise, I would do it again.

I had a smooth check in even though the lobby was full as I had an online reservation and my room was ready.
The room was spacious,clean and cool. The bathroom was not as big as expected. The sheets were changed daily and was clean. I requested extra pillows and was given them upon check in. Shuttle was convenient too.
There was technical difficulties with the wifi but was later on resolved.
Upon check out tho I was dismayed. I said I was on my way out and if everything was ok, the elderly lady at the desk said "yes, you are check out but I need your room key", I told her I do not normally return/turn in my keys (the card key). She said (in a stern voice) the keys do not hold any important information. So I said, I will return them as they were already in the car. Just as I turned around, someone asked her what happened she said "she SAID she doesn't turn in her keys..." and I was still in hearing distance... I think that was quite rude!
