Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A nice place I picked this hotel because it was a good deal for my points, but I have continued to come back. They have a nice fire pit, the food is priced right and the wings are great. The lobby is nice and new, the rooms are clean and and the bed is comfortable. It does have some problems, the elevators seem to be out of service often, the heat didn't work one time, but the staff is friendly, I get a voucher for a drink for being a platinum member. Its a nice place when I come, I can park my car and I don't have to leave for anything. Its not perfect, but the hotel lobby and restaurant area are updated. The bar has always people there so it has a nice social mix. I'm glad I found this, its more than I budgeted for, but Ill keep coming back, I would recommend to anyone. I cant wait till the weather turns warmer, the pool area looks great. February 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel in Greensboro This hotel appears to have gone through a major remodel. It is very nice especially the lobby and lounge area. The rooms are very comfortable. Very close to the GSO airport. I would highly recommend this hotel. February 17, 2014

After reading some of the reviews I was concerned, but did not have any of the issues in the reviews. I will stay here again. February 9, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No Hot Water We arrived late Thursday evening and I went to wash my face. The water never got hot, but since it was late, I thought nothing of it. In the morning I went to take a shower and only lukewarm water came out. My friend staying in another room had no hot water either. Calling the front desk was no help as they were not sure of the cause and were sending their maintenance man to check the boiler. As we were staying for 4 nights, I wanted reassurance that it would be fixed. I made alternate reservations at a closeby hotel. By 3pm that day I was told that the boiler was repaired.They gave us a free breakfast for our inconvenience. We returned and had a hot shower. My daughter and a friend were arriving that night for our annual Christmas Party. Much to my amazement, we had NO hot water again. Here we were, four girls, in two rooms preparing for an annual Christmas Party with NO hot water. We all took cold showers (also the temp. out was in the 30's) I was told that the repairman was returning to try to repair again and that they would probably have to replace that boiler. I would not stay here again. December 18, 2013

I ate at McDonald's At first I felt very good about my stay at this HI...even though there was some renovations being finished, I was OK with that. But on the following morning I was on my way out and I wanted to get a quick breakfast. NOT AT THIS HOLIDAY INN!! If you wanted to eat breakfast , you better have at least a $10 bill just to be able to partake. Am I out of the loop or is this another way of getting money from the guests. OH NO, This can't be the Holiday Inn that I was awarded "reward points" for staying. I asked the question, "Isn't breakfast included in my stay here?" NO was the answer. Therefore, "NO I will NOT recommend this HI to any of my followers that listen to my advice!!" Sorry... I have never stayed at a HI where the breakfast was NOT complimentary!! For that reason I can NOT give this HI a higher rating!! November 11, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service We arrived on a Friday around 3pm. We were kindly greeted by "S". She asked for a credit card and photo id. We told here the photo id was on the back of the credit card twice. She still wanted a driver's license, which makes no sense. My husband said "I guess seeing is not believing." We asked for a Quiet room away from house- keeping, preferably a corner room. This hotel is on the highway. So you can imagine the noise from the road. Didn't think we needed to include that info for a QUIET room. Requests are not considered at this hotel. She walked over to her folded papers for the nights reservations and pulled our paper and room key. It had already been decided. We went to the room and it was across from a storage closet. I asked a girl in housekeeping if it was a closet for housekeeping, but she didn't speak English. So I called the front desk and the manager's line a dozen times, line always busy. So I called the front desk with my cell phone and Sonny answered and said the closet was only storage. That night the noise in our room from I don't know what was crazy. It could have been the heating/cooling unit, not to mention the noise from the road. My morning started at 4am. So much a QUIET hotel. The crazy thing is there were 12 cars in the parking lot at 8:30am the next morning, so the hotel was NOT full and she could have put us somewhere else other than the side of the hotel near the highway. To be fair the hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are nice. There is a refrigerator included. However, the bathrooms are extremely small. The toilet is literally next to the sink. If you are large, your arm will have to prop up on the counter. The down comforter is very heavy. We have never stayed in a hotel where if a request was made they didn't try to fulfill it and if they couldn't they at least told us they couldn't. She had no intentions from the beginning. If I had a hotel on a busy highway, and it wasn't at capacity I would put my guests away from noise. Oh well. We won't be back. There are plenty of hotels in that area that want to make their customers happy. We didn't complain because Sonny was there when we checked in and when we left the next morning. November 10, 2013
