Our experience at this location was very disappointing. We chose Holiday Inn for it's location and reputation and found this location not to live up to the reputation, as we found it somewhat run down, dirty and uncomfortable.

I travel for business and like to stay at Holiday inn or express properties, but this one is lacking. I prefer to pick hotels with restaurants on premise, but refused to eat at this restaurant. The eating area was very dark and menu choices were few. The room was way below average in cleanliness. Walls, floors, ceilings and bathroom were very dirty. No doubt the dirtiest Holiday Inn I've ever seen and I travel every week for business. If I hadn't been so tired I would have never completed night in room.

Front desk clerk was rude, unhelpful and very smart mouth. room was dirty. Walked in to an XL beer can sitting in the window and trash on the bathroom floor. When reported this the (thin haired blonde at the front desk) said "OK! Bathroom sink wouldn't drain and could get no help. I reserved 5 rooms at their best rate for a church conference and the man in front of me checked in for $20 less!!

I recently spent nearly a month at this hotel due to a family medical problem. I was given this hotel's name and telephone number, along with others, from a local hospital. Before booking, I read the reviews and was a little reluctant to book a stay here. You cannot believe all you read...........
My stay was great at this hotel. The staff members are very helpful and caring individuals. Housekeeping did a very good job keeping the room clean and tidy.
One of the benefits of joining their club is a free breakfast and dinner buffet. The breakfast buffet is incredible and the service is as well. The dinner service is good, but the dinner buffet needs a little more variety.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is great!

Breakfast buffet food cold. Dinner menu hand written with one dinner choice and a couple of sandwiches. You could hardly read the menu. I have stayed at this property many times over the years and always enjoyed the food choices and quality. A hand written menu is a little too much. Could at least printed it off a computer so it was a little easier to read. The next time I am in the area on business I will most likely choose another property for my stay.

My most recent stay at the Holiday Inn at Augusta Road was for business purposes and I woudl rate the stay as a very solid value. Convenience to the interstate, quiet, and the morning buffet breakfast are the reasons that I stay at this hotel, and my expectations have always been met.

Despite the poor comments on this hotel I decided to stay there also I was worried before arriving last week 02/14 for one night. To make the story short : the person at the reception was very nice. The room was as it can be for somehow an old HI but clean and freshly repainted.
Breakfast was good.
What makes the difference comes from the fact works of rehabilitation have been completed.
I have plenty of experience staying in these hotels being a Platinum member.

Do not stay in this hotel if you are a nonsmoker, the nonsmoking rooms smell just like a smoking room. The bar is nice but the bar tender is great. The night person on the front desk is great but the day person needs more training on how to be nice. DO NOT pay more money for extra bonus points, I didn't receive them when I received my statement... I have sent 3 request for the extra 5,000 points and have received nothing, not even a reply from the Priority Club and I'm a Platinum member (just think how they must treat everyone else), so think twice about spending more money on the rooms in this hotel.

When we visited, there was construction in the restaurant area and we found a layer of dust on surfaces in our room. The room did not strike as clean and the structure showed signs of aging, but the experience was not too bad. The receptionists were very sweet but not very capable. When I asked about breakfast, the responses were something like "I am pretty sure it is complimentary - but ask the girl in the morning". The next morning, the coffee pot was empty and when I told this to the receptionist (who also sets up the breakfast table), she said "oh thanks - let me go and make a fresh pot" and she just vanished into the kitchen. I checked about every 20 minutes until checkout, which was a couple of hours later, and there was no coffee provided. When we left, we did get a sweet "thank you for you visit" but not a word about the coffee. We were driving a very long distance and just needed a place close to the highway to stay for the night. In that context, this stay was not too bad. But I would not pick this hotel if I had anything more than the barest of expectations.

I checked in and all seems ok until I opene3d my room and it was dusty the beds were not properly made and the room just had and odor...it went down hill from there.

This place looks okay on the outside but it's a dump inside. There was a gigantic water spot in the middle of the hallway floor that no one even attempted to clean up. Room was mostly clean but not comfortable. I travel to the area quite frequently and I will not stay at this place again

First I will say that the staff was amazing! Zero complaints with any of them. The hotel was pretty run down. Carpet coming up, water stains going down the walls in the bathrooms, broken lamp in my room (glued back together with missing piece- how tacky!), floors were not very clean, and the morning breakfast buffet was not very good. Not very pleased with the hotel. Made sure to tell my company not to send me there ever again. I booked my next two hotel stays after that.....those were much better!

We travel from Florida frequently and try to stay at this hotel, it is an excellent place, clean comfortable and the food is hot. The only draw back is when there is a big event in the area the rates get a little out of our price range. This is the FIRST hotel we check for our stay!

The management/owner was arrogant. The restaurant opened late on Saturday - we couldn't wait because we had to be somewhere on business - and the restaurant did not open at all on Sunday - not enough guests - the owner decided not to open. The parking lot was empty and my guess is that it will stay empty until the management's attitude changes. Room was clean enough but nothing or no one exhibited excellent service like I expect from Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express. We are Platinum Priority Club members and will never stay here again.

We found our room to be comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant and lounge offered exactly what we needed for a stopover during a long drive.
It was the people who impressed us most. All staff were friendly and helpful, but the lady at the front desk was exceptional. She assisted us in solving a personal problem by guiding us in using the computer, in sending email, and by accepting a response at the front desk and making sure we received it. Without her we would have had great difficulty, since we were unable to solve our problem by telephone.
Breakfast was superb.
We will certainly make a point of stopping at Greenville Holiday Inn next time we travel in that direction. We would hope to find the atmosphere just as friendly to weary travelers.

I waited over 30 minutes to check in, the couple at the desk's reservation was wrong and the only girl behind the desk was calling other hotels to try to find them a room. Fortunately there was a comfortable couch to sit on and catch up on email and reading.
The the elevator and hall on the fifth floor were filthy, stains and trash all over. The room was ok but not great.
The restaurant and especially the service in the restaurant were really great!

The young lady at the front desk was very kind and the breakfast was okay but overall the visit was horrible. We had to changed rooms TWO times because the bathrooms were not working (1st bathroom would not flush and tub would not drain, 2nd room toilet was clogged). I called the front desk and they were supposed to send someone up to fix the clog but no one ever came. We also found dead bugs in the 2nd room.
The 3rd room was fine but the bathrooms were dirty. The entire facility was unclean. I was very dissatisfied with my stay and I will not stay here again nor recommend to others.

This was the second time we stayed here this month. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Holiday Inn Express is consistent in providing excellent service.

This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The room is only semi-renovated. There was texture on the walls that wasn't painted, the bathroom didn't lock, the shower and tub has mildew everywhere.
The staff was useless except for the breakfast lady. When I went to the front desk to ask the attendant a question, no once was there, until finally someone strolled out from the back while on her phone to answer my question. The entire time I was at the front desk, the girl never looked up from her phone.
On check out day, I put a DND on the door to give me a few minutes to get ready before checking out. While I'm getting ready, there's a loud knock on the door. I open the door to see the DND sign no longer there and the housekeeper acting like they are surprised. After a little back and forth I leave as planned to hear the other housekeepers laughing at the situation.
The bed was the only reason I put up with this hotel. If I had to stay more than 2 days, I would've gone crazy.
I've run a hotel previously so I know what to expect. This is filth.
Don't waste your time, you're better off sleeping in a dumpster

While the price per room night is attractive, it comes at a cost. This property is "tired." The carpets are worn and dirty, the rooms need attention and a facelift. My room was missing the sink stopper and the faucet vibrated and rattled at low water volume. The price made this an acceptable choice for my needs but a "facelift" is needed to get this "on par" with other HI Expresses I have stayed in.
