Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ask for Ashley for exceptional service in the restaurant This was a business stay and I had to work each evening, so several times I went down to eat and work in the attached restaurant. The food is okay, though a bit salty for my taste. However, there was one waitress in particular who took customer service to the level you normally only see at high end luxury hotels. Ashley was my waitress on two occasions during my recent stay and both times, made me feel like family. She was extremely attentive and accommodating. I just wish everyone I met on business travel was as nice and professional and service-oriented as Ashley. It would make my travels so much nicer! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 not a good experience Well we arrived at the hotel. We had the romance package. It was our first year anniversary since we were married. We got to the room we had no wine or strawberries like promised. We called to order room service from the restaurant at the hotel . They told me to hold but putme on speaker phone and there was hhorrible cursing (f this f that and so on) . Well they finally brought our food up and didnt charge us but it was cold when we got it. THEN we filled out the breakfast door sheet and the next morning no breakfast. Noone eventook Iit off the door. So the didnt charge for that but of course it was cold also. To be honest we didnt get an attitude and tried to be understanding but that had to be the worst hotel experience we have ever had and to have it on our one year anniversary was a heart breaker. To the ones that were so nice we would like to thank you (cant remember the names) but we will not plan on coming to this hotel. Also the bed was very hard October 30, 2013

It's the Front Desk checking to make sure I was happy with the room. Super easy to get to all tourist attractions from hotel. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in New Orleans. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Dustin Floyd and his staff run a first class hotel the service is spot on Taresa and Jenifer at the front desk always have a smile on and will help you with anything you need, Roger and his crew are always working to improve and keep the property up. The food is great not what you would expect in a Holiday Inn Mojki and Mechile MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS RIGHT. Taresa in the bar can make you any drink you want and all are great. I have used this hotel for company meetings and had it catered and it was super, Moureen can help with all you need. Overall a great place to stay for work or for fun. October 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Close to Downtown N.O. This is an excellent alternative to staying in a pricy hotel near the convention center or the French Quarter. Just 10 minutes from either over the bridge. And speaking of the bridge, the rooms in this hotel that face the bridge have excellent views. Half the price and the room is the equal or better than any of the close-in hotels. Only downer is that the breakfast buffet isn't that good - you can probably do better going out somewhere. Staff were extremely efficient and helpful. Parking is ample (and free, though if you are going downtown you will have to pay when you get there.) October 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Waiting for Receipt The hotel was OK for this part of New Orleans. I wouldn't usually choose to stay in this area, but I was there on business. At checkout I requested a receipt (as I need one to claim back my business expenses), but was told that they cannot print one out, so this will be emailed to me. I never got the receipt, even after phoning to request it again. September 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprised by how nice it was. My wife and I were very pleased with the hotel since it became a Holiday Inn. The lobby and room were very nice and comfortable. The elevator speed was so fast it was almost as though the car were waiting at our floor every time. The coffee was very good. The staff including security were friendly and helpful. It was a short stay so I did not have the opportunity to take advantage of many of the amenities available. September 20, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT STAFF Wanting to be close to New Orleans but still be able to relax we opted for the Holiday Inn Gretna. We were greeted by Theresa who was VERY WARM and made us comfortable before we even made it to our rooms. Although the rooms were a bit dated and not totally clean Theresa ad her staff made sure the issues were rectified promptly. The food at the bar were also TOP NOTCH the bartender Teresa took care of us throughout our entire stay! Her warmth and great memory makes her a GREAT asset to the brand! September 11, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay Our reservation was not updated as we had spoken to a front desk person on the phone to add a night to our reservation. However, it was corrected at check in. Rooms were nice and comfortable, except for the restrooms. Very cramped and restroom door just cleared the toilet upon entering or exiting. Sheets were also not changed in 3 days. A little disappointed that my daughter left her necklace in the room, after check out, I called and spoke to Lashonda and explained that we left a necklace behind. She stated she could not help me and transferred me to a housekeeping voicemail. I left a message. After not receiving a call back, I called again, the voicemail was now full. I called back and spoke to Teresa, who informed me that housekeeping would not have listened to any voicemails until Monday. She took my phone number and stated she would contact housekeeping immediately. Again, hours passed, I never received a phone call so I called again. Teresa answered again and just said housekeeping didn't find anything. Very disappointed when we clearly left it in the room accidentally. August 19, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good value but kind of cramped for two people This is a good hotel with nice people. I wish the room with the shower and toilet was larger, but you're stuck with that. Maid service is good, and the place is clean. Great internet and office services. Major improvements could be made to the restaurant: 1. It's understaffed. The waits are too long. 2. Food is not great. Menu quite limited. Hard to compete in New Orleans that has lots of good restaurants. 3. A niche you might want to fill is to offer organic food with a good chef. August 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed We used your hotel four to five times a year when my son's had a BMX race at Gretna. The boys use to beg to stay at your hotel, this last time not only did your Director of Human Resources "freak out" on a very UNPROFESSIONAL way but she also was extremely rude tome when checking out. She let me know that my bikes and all the other bmx families bikes where not allowed to be in the room and they had to stay in the cars. I asked her if she was going to be responsible for the bikes on the cars and she told me no and that the where just bikes. I explained to her that just the forks of one of my sons bikes was equal price to three walmart bikes. I explained I have a little of over 4000.00 wrapped up in my boy's bikes and she told me I was fibbing. She yelled in un professional ways to the point that the front desk young lady would not even look at me. there is about fifteen BMX families that use to stay with us when there is a big race in Gretna but because of the experience of her WE have all decided to stay at the Harvey Holiday inn. I have never been treated so poorly by a person in a Holiday Inn hotel before. Usually Holiday inn is the ONLY place I stay. I canceled my reservation at the time for the Sept. state race, we are now booked in Harvey. August 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relief! I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn in some time, but we saw it on the way to our original property. When there were problems with our original reservation, we were relieved that this hotel was able not only to take us, but to also exceed all expectations. The rooms were spacious, clean, and appropriate for my mother who has mobility issues. The pool was restful and clean to my niece's delight. For me, the price was right, the check-in process was painless, breakfast was tasty, and I was able to access a computer to coordinate our visit to the near-by French Quarter. We were all thrilled! This property is now on our preferred list for our next trip to the Big Easy. With this hotel as an option, that visit may come sooner than first thought. August 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Circle of Delight We found this property to be surprisingly a joy...The hotel is circular which makes it stand out and easy to find. You can see it from the Mississippi River bridge. The staff was awesome in every way. We had a double queen room which was very spacious...it was like having a suite without the suite...The only thing we thought needed improvement was the bathroom set up...there was no door to the vanity area but a door separated the toilet and bathtub/shower which made this area very tiny...you had to go in the room and turn to close the door...it would have been better if the door was a slider and for them to include some kind of privacy divider for the vanity area where you would have the option to leave that door open if you like by shutting the vanity area from the rest of the room. Though the property had a couple of mechanical issues, the staff's response to those issues was phenomenal. Both dryers malfunctioned on day two of our stay...the hotel volunteered to dry our clothes for FREE as a compensation. Both were back functional the very next day...however, the staff still offered to launder our clothes complimentary and hand deliver to the room upon completion!! That was BEYOND excellent customer service. Anything we needed, it was resolved expeditiously. I know where I will stay for future New Orleans trips!! July 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Comfortable Stay Hotel was kind of hard to get to (for an out-of-towner), but once we arrived, we were rewarded with comfortable and clean rooms. Disappointed that the pool's shallow end was 4 feet; don't consider this kid friendly. Staff was excellent. Wasn't used to having breakfast in a bar and grill, but buffet was good. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, bathroom and maidservice below average Main room was comfortable and clean as per usual. The bathroom was clean but the shower rod was loose and hanging down. Lack of a vanity even a small one with the water pipes exposed really was not very inviting.The night staff associate was very nice and helpful. We had made a reservation earlier but there was no record. There were no toiletries in the room (shampoo, soap, lotion. This will in no way deter us from staying at the tower in the future.
