I stayed there many times and it is not bad hotel, close by the 401.

we like to say it was our first time staying at the holiday inn and we had a great stay in Cambridge holiday inn. Your staff are the best I have see in a long time. thanks to all of you and we will be staying at holiday inn from now on.

We waited about 15 minutes for guest services to take care of us as he was on the phone taking a reservation. We were not informed upon booking that the indoor pool was closed. We have four children and they were very dissapointed to find out we could not use the pool. I did ask front desk if it was possible to get a complimentary movie as we planned on spending evening at pool. Staff did follow up with mgmt and called shortly after to inform us they would honour our request.
There was a hole in the wall and ripped walls, carpet / floor felt dirty and hair on counter and in sink, on pillows, etc.
I was not happy with our stay but have stayed at other Holiday Inns in the past have been satisfied .

Great hotel - we have stayed here a few times at different times of the year and the staff is always friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is wonderful, hotel is very clean and overall a great kid friendly place to stay.

My advance reservatiom was initially for August 2013 the Intl telephone reservation operator made them for April 2014. I had to phone hotel directly to correct once confirmatiom rec'vd Could not gain access to my room's washroom because shower curtain rod design protruded at the top, not allowing door to be fully opened to allow ease of acess. I complained and requested another room,. 4 famiky members in our party given a room w / king bed and I had to order a cot after, I was told room had queen bed and pull out queen bed couch. Was too late to locate alt lodging. I a Senior slept sitting up in a chair that night, I complained to front desk in A.M, They then gave me ajoining room to this room free of charge as an appeasement = could this not have neen done 1st night. Everttime they issued us new key cards they forgot to give us general building access. Frontdesk personal treated our sitution as a joke - never ever again will we stay at this property. Also no mention indoor pool closed for reno on website or at booking time- discovered when we initially headed t our room. Our whole weekend getaway was spoiled by these series of events

Overall solid 3 star hotel. Rooms are worn but clean. Sound proofing isn't great- fine if you are a family and getting up with your kids but you won't be sleeping in! can hear them running in the halls. Pool is lovely and breakfast was great. Friendly staff- though computer system seems off as takes a long time to check in- front staff typing like mad trying to find you in the system. Went to African lion safari and got a package deal. Beds were definitely comfy. Layout of room with door swinging into bathroom was odd while trying to bathe 2 kids. Good overall value!

This was our 3rd hotel experience in 4 days. It was middle-of-the-road as far as that went.
The Ugly: other patrons. The police were on site when we arrived, dealing with a domestic altercation between wedding guests. There was also a family reunion and a baseball tournament in the hotel, so it was pretty loud and busy.
The Bad: the restaurant. Food was alright, except for the kids meals. They were bad. My 9yo daughter described the worst grilled cheese ever (no prompting, her words).
The Good: the staff! They were accommodating at every step, and when things went wrong they tried really hard (successfully) to make things right for us. They also worked as a team across departments (housekeeping, restaurant, front desk)

I would like to suggest that the restaurant offer vegetarian or vegan meals on their menu. We had a guest for dinner and there was nothing on the menu that worked for her. The waiter did inquire and was able to get a veggie burger that was on site because some of the staff are vegetarian.
We only stayed one night and we did enjoy are stay. Will keep you in mind the next time we visit the area.

I had a rate including breakfast, i received coupons at check in and handed thes over to the waitress. The coupons value is $13 and the buffett is poor. You haven to pay $ 3 dollars extra when you like a glass of Orange Juice with your breakfast or for eggs. I go next time to a Hampton Inn or la Quinta by example. The buffet is great and all items are included..

Upon arrival, our room did not have a sleeper sofa, as required.
We were given another room, with no balcony, as required, no heated bathroom floor and a used condom hung on the hair dryer in the bathroom.
We were moved to a third room, pool-side.
Having used this facility in previous years, we were dismayed at the condition of the room (wallpaper peeling above the headboard, desk chair material was cracked and peeling, dust on the shelf of the dresser, blanket on the sleeper sofa was torn, lint on the hair dryer exhaust tube).
The inside pool has deterioration on the deck and ceiling. The outside pool has deterioration on the deck.
The facility is in need of maintenance and repair.
The staff was courteous and punctual.
In previous visits, our experience was excellent. But not this visit.

After driving more than 8 hours on our way to a funeral in Detroit, MI it was quite a relief to be checked in to our comfortable room and be informed by the amicable front desk associate that the restaurant would be able to accommodate us in the next hour.
The dining lounge was just what we needed to unwind. The wait staff obliged with our questions and requests most professionally. The food and service were first class. We said as much to our server and to our surprise the young capable chef himself took the time to see us at table.
Our experience at this Holiday Inn location, though at a sad time, was most satisfactory and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

We found that the hotel was a great place to stay..The beds were comfy, and the room was spaceous, and clean. The pools were well maintained and there were always staff around cleaning and helping. The food was great, and even after the mess up of our ball tournie they did a great job accomadating all of the families for meals. We will be back!!

We were attending a dog show there like we have so many times for years. This was the first year for us that they allowed the dogs in the room. I thought great I don't have to leave them in car over night. I booked a room using my points. I called and talked to someone and said I wanted a king bed and that the dogs where going to be in the room with us. They said no problem we except dogs but charge a little extra for the dogs. I was fine with that. When I went to book in they gave me the key to the room. I walked into the room and there was two double beds. Who sleeps in double beds anymore. They are two small. I went right back to the front desk to complain. She they said that their rooms with king beds did not allow dogs just the rooms from about 170 to 192 were the ones for the dogs. I said that is not what I was told when I phoned and reserved the room. She said the only thing she could do for us was give us a room on the second floor that had a king that we could have our dogs in. I have had two knee replacements and walking up down the stairs is painful at times.
I then talked to friends to ours that where there with dogs also and they had a king room with dogs in it.
Why do you let some and then some not?
Not impressed at all and that nothing was done.

The room was clean and smelled good. Perhaps an older hotel as the bathroom needed updating but overall, a comfortable stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. I also liked that each room either has a personal balcony or patio! I would stay again :)

The room was out dated the decor looked like something out of the 70's
This was the first hotel I stayed at that did not have a lamp next to the bed on the night stand.
The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because I was using ,my points. and had a small dog
which appears it was the only hotel in the area that was pet friendly appears that Canadians arent too pet friendly....
And, Im canadian
Until this hotel does a complete restore I wont recommend this hotel
Getting to the hotel off of Hwy 401 and finding the hotel was a task since there is construction going on absolutely no signage

As much as we enjoyed our stay and the staff were friendly and welcoming, we were not impressed with the "Hot Breakfast" package. it was not really worth the extra charge
The hot breakfast was not hot in fact all of the food was cold!
I don't think we should have to pay extra for fried egg as oppose to having the scrambled eggs-as some customers may like eggs but have a sensitivity to textures and can not eat scrambled. Nor should the hash browns be greasy and spicy.
This is the first hotel that I stayed in that did not have oatmeal and a variety of fruits as part of the buffet in addition to charging for a different manner of egg.
in addition the pipe under the sink in the bathroom leaked therefor we did not use it. Thank goodness there was another sink available in the room.

I have stayed here many times due to stop over for work. Although the staff has always been amazing ( most of them anyway)
I have found the bathrooms are just not as clean as they used to be. Finding private body hair all over the bathroom is disgusting, and this is in every room i have stayed in, i clean the tub MYSELF before i get in the shower, standards have dropped, Why not call houskeeping? if they don't know how to clean a bathroom to begin with, why would it change.
Price is steep to stay in an executive suite with dirty bathrooms
This is the only IHG in town , they do recognize club members and the walk out patio is great, love the fresh air, rooms are a little worn, but they are clean, and the beds are comfy.
Pool i cannot comment on as i have never used it.
Food is great -
Please take more time to clean the bathrooms !!

The staff was very pleasant. The room was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and the price was acceptable. Other than the noisy guests heading to their room at 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m,. it was a great place to stay.

Very disappointed that no fridge in the room, especially since no free breakfast. Also had no idea that there was a pool, the website for this location does not indicate this. Young children travelling very disappointed that couldn't go swimming as bathing suits weren't packed. If you are just looking for a bed to lay your head, this is the hotel. Feel the rate is a bit steep for so little offered. Luckily were in town for a basketball tournament where school was right across street and TIm Horton's around the corner. Priority Club Member options pretty lame, first two of my choices were not available so took two free water bottles, yippee!

Great staff on overnight when I checked in (Melissa checked me in that night). The room was very spacious and comfortable. The only suggestion is that the rooms do need an fresh new update but in saying that I do love the new linens and bedding that have been added.

Restaurant food overpriced and not good... waffles tasted like they were one week old dry and smelly... one egg $7 crazy
One hr wait at check in. One person at front desk
Spiders on walls in many places in room
USED Condom behind chair in my room
Never again will I stay here!

3 or 4 times a year we visit our son in Hespeler and have stayed at your inn with pleasure. Our latest stay has been a disappointment because of the poor customer service extended to us and we will not be staying at the Holiday Inn again.
When the reservation was made by phone last week Saturday, my wife had already looked at the rates on the internet and knew what charge to expect. She was quoted a $10 higher rate and when she asked why was told that a better room location was being offered. Obviously, the inn was up-selling. My wife disputed this and in the end the extra $10 charge was removed.
I am 80 years old and the 4 hour drive from home to the inn is a tiring one for me. My wife asked if we could check in about 2:00 on Christmas Day so that I could rest before meeting with family at 4:00. She was told that check-in time is 4:00 and that we must phone in during the afternoon to ascertain if a room was ready for an earlier check-in. As it turned out, we arrived at 2:00 and went straight to the inn and it was virtually empty. There were about a dozen cars in the lot.
On our previous stays the desk clerk informed us of the continental breakfast that is served. On this visit we were not told and on Boxing Day morning, there was no indication that the breakfast was being served. We went to Tim Horton's down the street for breakfast.
Over the course of my years, I have learned that it is little things like these that make or break a relationship, be it in business or personally. This was a Christmas Day overnight stay and I am disappointed that your staff was not more pleasant and helpful. My overall impression is that your inn is strictly that ... an inn ...a place to sleep and shower ... with no people warmth or hospitality extended.
I will not be staying at the Holiday Inn on my next visit to Hespeler.

Courteous staff, who have a knack for recognizing me by name the moment i walk thru the door.Awesome nightime meals served in the Fireside lounge.Comfy beds...........great value for the money.
Always extra's for Priority Club members , whether it be an upgrade or an extra drink with your meal.
This location is always on my radar..............

Stayed for two nights for a hockey tournament. Rooms, hallways and pool area were all way to hot with heat blasting all the time. Needed to have patio door open in room and A/C on in November in order for it to be cool enough to sleep at night. WiFi was unreliable and slow. High Def TV in room with Low Def cable connection made TV watching very poor. Also unable to connect Xbox to TV to keep kids occupied as it was locked out to having the inputs changed. Room service overcharged our meal and added in charges without notification.
