the staff was very friendly. Drinks are over priced. Could have used more pillows in the room. Need to put more towels in bathroom. Wasn't enough for two people, had to use a wet towel in the morning.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful and awesome. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We even left our tablet and they shipped to us in timely manner. However, I would not stay at this hotel again. This is the only reason. I personally like a free breakfast with a spread of different items to choose this. This hotel has a restaurant. I paid for the breakfast thinking I was getting a buffet style breakfast. But what I ended up getting was a 20 dollar credit at the restaurant. The restaurant was fine, but not excellent. And I was unable to use the restaurant the second night due to the fact that we had to get on the road early and no time to wait to be served. So hotel is great and if you want restaurant, food was adequate for hotel. But I wanted awesome buffet style I experienced at other hi so I was disappointed.

Overall my stay was very good at this hotel. I was only there overnight, the internet worked fine, the staff was friendly and flexible. Although breakfast was not including, breakfast, evening food, and the bar are reasonably priced. Very clean and conveniently located to major travel routes, food, and shopping.

only 2 problems were the check-in was slow, only one lady working desk and line was backed up the other was the bar was about to close at 10pm and did stay open until 11pm for a group of us

everything went very well and my family and I had no issues.
my only issue was it was to quiet and that I could not seem to figure out how to have the fan run constantly

The premises, staff, and food were all excellent. I was especially impressed with the clerk who checked us in and with the service and food at breakfast.

I had called the Hammond Holiday Inn North-shore on the Monday before my arrival Thursday afternoon. While making the reservation I asked if they had rooms on the first floor or closest to because I was traveling alone and not comfortable riding the elevators . I was assured this would be marked on my check-in form. I arrived at 3 PM Thursday and checked in by an employee who did not care about my wishes she wanted to argue with me that I did not talk to anyone at the Hotel that I called another number. I told her how the phone was answered and I was transferred to someone who would take my information for a room. When I arrived at the Hotel I was given a room on the 3rd floor and when I questioned it I was told they did not have rooms on the first floor their rooms started on the second floor and that was all they had and basically if I did not like it I could find another hotel. Since I was not from Hammond, was there to attend a graduation at LSU in Baton Rouge and had stayed at this Holiday Inn before I did not want to go searching for another Hotel. When I left the check in site to go to my automobile to retrieve my clothing upon re-entering the Hotel Lobby I was called back to the desk and told by the same person who gave me the 3rd floor room that she made a mistake and my room was really on the 4th floor, she smiled and the young man standing next to her began to snicker. I did not see anything in the least funny about the situation and even though I have stayed at this Hotel on several occasions I will think twice about it again. The Clerk's reasoning for the poor attitude was the hotel has been very busy because they were undergoing inspections for the last several days. I'm sorry but that is/was not my problem I am a paying customer and her problems should have not been taken out on me as it apparently was when my room was moved to a higher floor when I complained.
