Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good room and excellent service due to upbeat staff! The room itself was comfortable. The heating unit was less than desireable as it was difficult to control the level of heat or AC. Better pillows would have helped to get a full night's sleep! Big problem was controlling the heat and the inconsistent loud noise of the fan. The property really needs an ugrade in the rooms division...but despite old carpets, etc....it was very clean and pleasant. March 12, 2014

Every year we are made to feel welcome, and that is important on a long Business trip. The Staff at the Front Desk is always ready to help with whatever we might need. The Staff in the Lounge is always prompt and courteous.[Mary and the Crew] as well as the Staff in the Restaurant. I would also like to mention the shuttle Drivers. Thank You, to ALL OF YOU! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was great but hotel rooms need a big face lift. Initial impression upon arrival into the lobby was good. Hotel staff was helpful and always ready to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was a big disappointment and was in need of repair. The carpet was dirty, daylight could be seen around the entire door frame. The heater kept cycling and was very loud. The room needs to be updated to accommodate modern technology like an outlet for cell phone chargers on both sides of the bed. The biggest disappointment was the refrigerator. After we figured out how to keep the temperature from freezing, the unit worked okay. The unit itself looked like someone had taken a hammer to it and beat it repeatably. After 3 days, we had to request the bathroom be cleaned and the counters disinfected. Sometimes we did not receive clean towels. February 13, 2014

Not my first stay here, the only problems I experienced was that in previous stays the entire breakfast was included, and this last stay I was charged extra to partake in the hot breakfast items eg. eggs, bacon etc. The charge was only $4.24 additional for the hot food which is not excessive, however I should have been informed about same when I booked the room. The other problem I experienced was with the shuttle to the sportsman show. No problem getting to the farm complex, but getting back was a nightmare (not enough shuttle vans) and shuttle operators being stopped by guests upon entering the farm complex and boarding on the roadway and not by the designated pick-up area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I loved it! When bad weather arose, I stayed here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and was saddened to leave. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The staff took the time to make sure my stay was going well. You can tell they truly care about their guests. If I had an issue, no matter how minor, they resolved it right away. They made me feel extremely comfortable and at home. I was able to connect to the internet quite easily using the information provided by the front desk and establish my wake-up call from the info in my room. My room was very clean and spacious and provided more than enough space for my belongings. It even had a fridge and microwave, which was helpful for the snacks I brought. Food and dining services were excellent. I will be back. Thank you for an amazing stay! February 12, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs some improvement Everyone I met on my one night stay was super friendly and helpful. I was disappointed with the room comfort although it was very clean. The best I could get out of the shower temperature was lukewarm and the heating unit could not be adjusted for anywhere close to an even temperature. The restaurant food was poor. I selected the buffet without looking at it first and was disappointed. I believe the hotel was full because of the sports show and there was not enough staff on duty. February 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Outdated and in need of attention This hotel is very outdated and in need of attention and repair. The hallways are dark and the carpets are stained throughout. The room was nothing like what appears on the website. The carpets were also badly stained, the sheets were terribly wrinkled, the pillows on a king size bed were the size of a throw pillow, there were fingerprint marks on the bathroom door and the shower curtain was torn. Did have a bite to eat at the bar. Food was ok except had to send our appetizer back because it was under cooked. Oh, and the table cloths were wrinkled and stained also. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Decent rooms, bad food, not worth the price This hotel is not the quality level to be expected from Holiday Inn. The hotel is older and hasn't been updated adequately. The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable. Otherwise, the hotel is a poor value for the price. I arrived late and had to eat in the hotel restaurant. Their buffet was so unappetizing that I ended up eating little more than some mystery soup and crackers. In addition there was no recognition of Priority Gold level. Most other HIs at least recognize and provide a snack bag and water or some other perk. February 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Treated like royalty before leaving for Florida Our stay on Sunday 1/26 was very comfortable especially since we were updated to your most executive room by the women at the front desk. All the amenities were unbelievable & we were treated like the " Obamas" if you know what I mean. It pays to be Platinum Elite! In addition we had breakfast the next morning & the staff in the restaurant were also excellent. Also our ride to the airport with customer service was enjoyable Everything about our stay was exemplary & we wil definitely stay at your hotel whenever we fly out of MDT airport Thanks again!!!! Only negative in the king suite was the child sized toilets. Upgrade the toilets and the room comfort would also be excellent. I would definitely stay here again if I had a reason to be in Harrisburg. January 29, 2014

Bartender was helpful while we were trying to find our way to different parts of the building. We had a group lunch and it was excellent! Waiters were helpful and the food was correct temperature and there was plenty of it January 29, 2014

The rooms were clean & comfortable & the staff was friendly and helpful. They provided a lunch for our group and the food was very good, with a good selection. (Great desserts, too!!) We ate at the restaurant several times and were very pleased with the quality of the food. All in all, a very good experience! (Also, a big "Thanks!!" to Chad for reserving a group of rooms for me so that members of my chorus would be close to one another. ;-) January 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant My experience in the restaurant was what i would call sub standard. Our server took our order and while one plate was deilvered, the others were not. A few minutes later, after asking what happened to the remaining orders, she told us they were not submitted although she appeared to have written them. My experience was rather chaotic. The hotel doesn't appear to have restaurant savvy management personnel (but I could be wrong). The remainder of my stay was adequate. You need to do a better job in the restaurant. January 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Desperate need of updates From lobby all the way to the rooms. Needs updating. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The pillows small and flat. The climate control in the room was not working. Which led to a sleepless night. It was either a hot box or freezing in my room. I will be writing a hotel report for my company and recommend that we not stay there. There were no benefits to being a platinum IHG member. January 28, 2014
