Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Monday Night in OCT Front desk people are very efficient. Manager response was lightening fast. Wait staff was very friendly, respectful and helpful without being overly sweet to senior guests. I particularly enjoy having a restaurant on the premises. The menu is varied enough for different age groups and the food arrives at appropriate temperatures. I recommend staying in a room on the main floor as they seem to be quieter and not as worn. At some point there should be an overall plan to refurbish all the rooms, a major expense but well worth an upgrade that could raise the room rate a bit. For the time being...keep the good cleaning crew happy! November 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Recently stay at the Holiday Inn east for an American Legion function, The staff was amazing from the clerks at the front desk to the chef who made my banana foster. Mary at the bar was fun to spend time with and help pass the evening. Highly recommend the Prime Rib at the buffet this was fantastic. Will definitely be returning next year. October 30, 2013

Auditorium was a great place to corral them for an evening activity. Nice bar/gathering area for parents too! The set up of the building is a bit confusing and hallway ceilings are very low, This is not a "ritzy" property, but was great for our needs for the weekend! October 30, 2013

It is a treat when you find a hotel that has everything to make you comfortable and feel at home. This hotel has all those features and is close to the airport as well as great restaurants and attractions. Be sure to check out Lancaster Brewing for some local craft beers and a great meal! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice value Good overall experience. Had a couple problems when I entered my room. The door was open; the refrigerator had a bottle in it. But the staff was wonderful. Dinner, on a Thursday night, was slow - with only two other tables seated, and the food below average. The next day, at a conference lunch, the meal was much better. I ordered room service and I was shocked at the quality of the food, prompt delivery and kindness of the staff that delivered it to the room. Everywhere I went the staff was friendly. Great stay! The overall experience and service by staff is remarkable. From check in to check out I've never had a problem at this hotel, whether my stay is a short one-nighter for a meeting to several days of training classes, maybe squeezing in a day or two of vacation(!), or several nights at a conference and in meeting rooms and being served meals. The staff greeted us cheerfully and were extremely helpful. We were assigned a great room, enjoyed the comfortable bed, the spacious sitting area and the balcony was great to enjoy the evening air. The bar staff was friendly, the drinks were cold, and the food was tasty. The shuttle service at 5 AM was right on time, friendly, and a safe ride to the airport the next morning. October 11, 2013

My daughter left her beats headphones there and Gerry the supervisor tracked them down for me. Great people make a great place, this place has them in spades. October 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Staff - Ancient - Dirty - Well worn propery As a Platinum IHG member, I stay in a lot of IHG properties. The staff here was above and beyond - what a pleasure. Sadly the property itself is seriously worn - frayed dingy and in many areas dirty. even where it wasn't dirty, carpets were so frayed it looked like they had been there 50 years. Apparently IHG does not require them to continuously upgrade to corporate standards. This place would rock with the great staff, if only they had a nice facility to promote. October 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Large hotel My room upgrade included a bedroon and living room area. This was much more spacious than normal amd a good surprise. The room was comfortable and treadmill allowed for some needed workingout time. Dinner at HI was very good. Each person I interacted with was positive and provided very good service. The complex is a little older but it seems the large complex would take a lot of effort to maintain anyway. It is obvious management makes a strong effort to keep the place up and looking nice. It was a great space & perfect for our needs other than the drop ceiling which made the room seem smaller than it was. My only complaint about this property was that although the staff was friendly they were very loud when they would come in to set up and tear down our snacks/coffee to the point where we asked them not to refresh our room until the end of each day. She saw she could not make any changes that night, but assured us she would get us something more accommodating the next day. She did, and had one of the men help me with luggage. The young man who checked us in made sure to explain everything about the hotel and also for being a rewards member. The hotel is dated but clean and comfortable. Our room exceeded our expectations as far as size and being comfortable. Family recently moved to Harrisburg so we expect to be staying at a hotel for our many visits. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel is comfortable with excellent staff. The hotel is comfortable however needs to be up dated. For a non-smoking room there were burn holes in the bedding and carpet. The room was odor free and clean, but worn and out of date. The bathroom was clean as well, however small and uncomfortable. The restaurant was good, but limited in dinner choices. The location is what drove me to this property, i have stayed here before, and I will most likely stay again. The staff and lobby are the shining stars of the hotel. October 1, 2013
