This is a place I stay at during a meeting I attend, but I am looking to simply stay at another location and drive in rather than stay here. To start with I go to check in and have some yound lady tell me your room is 4 o'clock check in, go wait and check back later. Forty minutes of waiting she goes to lunch and I go back to the counter speak with a young gent and he says thank you for being a member and thank you for staying at our hotel. I'll check and if your room isn't ready there are plenty of others I can give you. One person respecting a customer the other not. The rooms themselves are old, bathroom fixtures old, caulking filthy. Add in my room not getting cleaned other than making the bed and emptying the trash cans. Nothing else touched at all. The internet is basically nonfunctional if you plan on doing work. I normally have nothing other than good to say about the Holiday Inns I stay at but this was not a fun venture. I will not turn away from the brand because I like the hotels, I just will have to think twice about staying here for the next meeting.

I stayed at the Hotel for just one night. It was a nice and relaxing stay, the free airport shuttle is really convenient, a perfect Hotel to start traveling.
10min. from the airport, nice and polite staff and clean rooms. Only the interior is just a bit older, so a renovation would make the Hotel perfect.
Anyway, I enjoyed my stay and will may come back in the future for further business trips.

This property is a little tired, but comfortable. My main issue is that my room was left ajar. When I returned from work, I bumped the door while looking for my room key and the door opened. Not a very secure feeling for a female that travels alone. Also the Cafe took 25 minutes to serve a bowl of oatmeal in the morning, it had obviously been sitting for awhile because of the film covering the top.

I attended a conference at the hotel in February 2013. The meeting room was excellent. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house because of the theater style seating. The room was clean with very good TVs. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was worth staying in. Selection was good and ribs were very tasty. Pool area was also kept very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

The sales staff were helpful in getting the best rates and having a good meal for my 20 men and myself when traveling to winter storm NEMO to assist the utility companies in restoring power. The accommodations were excellent and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The sales staff found out what our needs were and went over the top to make my job as a supervisor easier.
I highly recommend this hotel for single or group stays.

I'm a Priority Club Elite member and travel frequently. This is a fantastic hotel and I've stayed here multiple times. The food is good, rooms are very clean and so is the pool. Thanks for a GREAT stay....I LOVED IT !!!!!

This hotel served its purpose! We stayed here for a youth ice hockey tournament. A little further away from arenas but very easy to get to and from. Hotel could use a little updating!! Staff was very patient with our boys!!! Thank you for that. Especially when they were trying to crash the beauty pageant! We all had a wonderful time.

It was one of the best stays I have had in an hotel. I am asthmatic and I had no trouble breathing. In some hotels the rugs and dust give me some trouble.

I spend an average of two weeks a month away from home and when in the Harrisburg area I always choose the Holiday Inn Harrisburg East. The front desk staff always has a friendly greeting when I walk through the door, the support staff is very accomodating with all my requests and I love the pool, the hot tub thats is always available 24/7 and the tennis courts. I highly reccommend the hotel. Always a great value!

I stay at the Holiday Inn often since my work brings me to Harrisburg several times a month. The staff here at this hotel is the friendliest of anywhere I travel. They are accommodating for business meetings and conferences, the hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the check-in process is always quick and efficient. Interacting with staff, regardless of the reason for staying there, is by far the most pleasant part of being a guest at the Holiday Inn-Harrisburg East. They are friendly and accommodating, and really do seem to understand that their "home" is my "home away from home." The hospitality is amazing. I always feel like I'm staying with friends when I stay here! The regular afternoon staff are awesome! I just love them and recommend this hotel very highly.

We flew into the MDT airport, the shuttle drive was waiting on us (Ms. Pam) who was super sweet and took us straight to hotel but also offered to take us to Get My Daughter food before we got there. Check in a was breeze nice warm pool, large room. Great location! We will be back.

When I used my priority points to purchase a hotel room for a night stay, I was upgraded to a King size suite and given a voucher for $25 to use for food or drink in the hotel. My husband said that he felt like he was with a movie star getting that kind of VIP treatment. The hotel is clean and the staff are VERY friendly. I will stay here again.

I always love coming to stay at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg. We always get room 200 because of the spaciousness and the separate bedroom. The service we receive when we stay there is always exceptional. Everyone has always been very friendly.

Very timely check-in, even with multiple persons checking in at the same time. The room service meal was excellent as was the service. The man delivering the meal was very courteous and friendly.

We stayed her for a weekend event at the hotel. The layout of the hotel is very confusing, and I would have appreciated being warned about that, or guided to the room with a diagram, on check-in. For example, the main lobby is the 3rd floor, but you'd think it was the first floor. And the 2nd floor, or 200 level rooms, are also on the 3rd floor which is really the first floor! Other than not giving us directions to the room when we first arrived, the front desk staff was quite nice and always professional.
The room itself, however, was quite "tired", especially the bathroom: stains on the carpet and just the sense that LOTS of other people had used the room. The bathroom had a hole in the ceiling tile, there was rust on the drain closure, the sink had a big crack in the basin, the tissue holder kept falling out of the wall when you pulled a tissue out of the box. Sigh. On the plus side, there was AWESOME water pressure!
Our event took place in the main ballroom, which was in the basement. Good facilities, but lots of steps to get to the basement level if the elevators were slow or you couldn't find them, which kept hapening. Saturday night you could smell what was being cooked in the kitchens, too, which wasn't that pleasant. The pool area looked very nice and it was a big pool for a hotel. I didn't use it, but thought about taking a dip in the whilrpool, but I didn't see one.
In closing, the location is ideal. Lots of outside amenities very close by - the TARGET across the street being the most important! I would stay here again if there was an event taking place at the hotel; but until I learn that they've renovated the rooms, I would not choose to stay here on my ownl.
