Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room in Harrisonburg! The lobby was welcoming, as was the staff. I was surprised at how large the room was and was very happy with the bed; It was large and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and the bath-products were great. If you are looking for a great deal in Harrisonburg, look no further! October 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel we checked in pretty late so we did not eat dinner at the bar and grill.however it did look very clean and was a quiet place.we received a nice gift bag and were greeted very warmly.the staff was very helpful and kind.rooms were nice and clean plus quiet.we slept great and had a enjoyable stay. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice accomdations, close to JMU We stayed for family weekend @ JMU (Oct 10-12/2014). Literally right off 81, close to shopping and restaurants, very convenient to campus (although not walking distance) The hotel has comfortable beds and I loved the firm vs. soft pillow choices. there was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room, which was clean and comfortable. The free wifi worked great. The breakfast buffet was good, standard American breakfast fare. The biscuits were great! Forgot my swimsuit, but the indoor pool and hot tub, and small gym looked nice. The only negative I can cite is the exorbitant price we had to pay for the weekend, since I didn't make reservations until July. October 20, 2014

Also, the shuttle driver (Rafi) was really nice. I have stayed at another Holiday Inn in the area but, if I am back in the area again I will definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you!!!! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Over Priced for JMU Family Weekend Over all POOR: To start off, the price for 2 nights was over about 2 and a half times the cost that I paid during a recent stay just because it was family weekend at JMU. I also had a problem with the staff at the hotel restaurant(Casey's). My son and I waited for 5 minutes to be seated. There were 2 employees just staring at us while they continued a long conversation. After 5 minutes of waiting, I decided to seat myself at a table. The tables were very dirty. The 2 employees kept up their conversation while we were ignored. After an additional 10 minutes of being ignored, we got up and left. I went to the front desk to complain. Their solution was to give me a free voucher for breakfast the next morning. Why would I accept a free voucher to a place that treated me so poorly? I doubt I will ever go back to this Holiday Inn again. October 17, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Old Hotel We were visiting Harrisonburg for parents weekend and were able to book a room here at the last minute. The front desk staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. The lobby was clean. Our room was on the third floor and the common area carpet was very dirt. Our room appeared to be very clean. The headboard in the room was peeling and looked tired. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The TV at times would loss its signal. Average room at best. Front desk staff was excellent and courteous. October 15, 2014
