The lady that checked me in was the auditor I believe. Wow was she ever hospitable and professional. The best ever. She was friendly and outgoing. Just what I needed after a long drive.

A very good experience except that the swimming pool felt about 40 degrees!!! Unbearably cold. Everything else was perfect.

Booked this hotel because the website said, "heated indoor pool" and comfortable stay. The pool was FREEZING on Saturday and CLOSED on Sunday (due to a bridal show). When I asked about the "heated" pool, I was told it is heated and it should be warm. The room was in desperate need of some cosmetic repairs. The shower was cracked, paint was peeling, and the housekeepers did not clean the room very well. I usually stay at the Holiday Inn when on vacation, this is the second negative experience I have had with this chain. Would not recommend this hotel!

The facility was impeccable and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever experienced away from home. The staff exemplified quality service. I definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting there again.

There was no fridge or microwave. The wall of the shower at the very bottom was dirty and the handicap chair for the bath tub was dirty. The carpet as you enter the door to the room is filthy. Looks like someone was sick there or worse, had a bathroom accident. Didn't see this till we were leaving or we would not have stayed in that room. If the carpet is filthy right at the door how clean could the rest of the carpet and beds be?
I am disabled and had my cane not my walker and where the room was located was a painful walk. This was our second stay at this hotel and will be our last unless we abslutely have to have a place to stay. You should visit the Holiday Inn Gateway in Winchester. They are wonderful and you could learn a lot from them.
I would never recommend your hotel to anyone.

They are the best!! I have never been to a hotel where the staff truly makes you feel you are at home. Debbie and Danielle are the best and you could not get any better customer service!!!!! This is my favorite hotel to stay in.

Comfortable bed and great staff. Rates were accurate based on amenities. Personally, I did not like the pillows or the location of the room. Thankfully, I brought my sound machine which muffled the highway traffic.
I would definitely stay again. It was close to all.

The front desk and cleaning crew were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were very nice upon check-in and we expected great service.
The rooms were nice, although I didn't get the adjoining rooms that I had requested. The view was horrible. For such a nice location in Harrisonburg, it was unfortunate that we had a balcony and a nice big window that merely overlooked the HVAC system and nothing else. We had no chance for fresh air and the view was anything but favorable. The beds were like marshmallows (if you like that kind of thing#, but the rooms were exceptionally clean.
The bathroom was in good shape, with some obvious drywall repair that needed to be fixed again.
We decided to eat breakfast at the hotel the following morning #party of 6, so we are used to waiting#. It took them very little time to get our drink orders, but then they only brought four of the five of them, forgot the hot water for the tea, and no creamer for the coffee. Then we finally ordered breakfast and sat for quite a while. We had one server say, "It won't be long". They never offered to refill our drinks, get more creamer, offer water, etc. We sat for an hour waiting for our food #pancakes, eggs, etc. . . basic breakfast fare). Finally we were able to get someone to come to our table and she said that they were really busy and it would be out soon. By this time there were only three to five tables seated and no one else, so we asked for the check for the drinks we had consumed and then left. As we were walking out the door the server said, "Your food is just about ready." We said, thanks but no thanks, an hour is way too long to wait for breakfast that should have taken very little time to prepare.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dmetz003 We were fortunate to stay at Harrisonburg Holiday Inn again!
We stayed here over parents' weekend the first year our daughter was in college. We had a wonderful experience and wished to return again in subsequent years. Unfortunately for the two years following, we were unable to secure reservations, but this year we were lucky enough to return again. I didn't think it was possible, but the service and accommodations seemed to be even better than before!
Our extended family stayed with us as well and we all enjoyed Casey lounge and the restaurant. The snacks and drinks in the lobby were a welcomed treat for families especially those with college students. Additionally, the lobby's big comfy chairs made a nice place meet and greet family members.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Spent a couple nights in the Holiday Inn Harrisonburg, VA during Family Weekend at James Madison University. The rooms and staff were great. Breakfast was average. The only negative was the hotels physical location makes getting to the hotel a bit of a pain.
