We stayed overnight and found the staff friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Loved the bed, wanted to take it with us. I think its a very good value. Will stay there again.

UPON CHECK IN I WAS ASKED TO SPIN THE BONUS WHEEL BECAUSE OF MEMBERSHIP STATUS. I WON A 1000
BONUS POINTS ON THE WHEEL WHICH WERE SUPPOSE TO BE POSTED ON MY MEMBERSHIP WITHIN 2 DAYS.
AS OF 4-26-13 HAVE NOT RECEIVED BONUS POINTS.
THIS VISIT WAS 9 DAYS AGO. RATHER DISAPPONTED.
CARPET IN THE ROOM COULD USE A GOOD STEAM CLEANING STAINED ....

Thursday 18 April
1.Arrived around 9 pm.
2.Room was well away from the front desk and lobby.
3.Took several trips top unload car.
5.TV didn't work (during the Boston marathon news).
6.Called desk. I could move to another room in another wing. See 4 above.
A/C heater noisy.VERY NOISY.
Wasn't told of any meal availability so had breakfast with folks I nwas visiting.
Friday 19 April
1. Left at 0830.
2. Returned 1530. Room not cleaned.
3 1630 Maiud knockls. Told her I would leave ion 1/2 hour.
4. Left at 1700.
5. Returned at 2030. Room not cleaned.

Well after a terrible experience in Toms River, this was my last stop in NJ.
I did recieve a bottle of water and small bag of chips for being a Priority Member but they did not offer a room upgrade.
My biggest and main concern was this:
WAKING UP WITH BITES ALL OVER MY SHOULDERS AND LEGS.
It has been a week almost and I am still scratching the bites
This was absolutely the worst thing to have happen.
I threw my clothes in a garbage bag and directly to the wash when I got home and my suitcase (empty) is still in my trunk for fear of bringing anything home
Aside from that the place was noisy and the internet again was intolerable. Even the phone call to the tech people left me hanging with no call back
Do not stay here

I was very disappointed at my recent stay at this hotel. The current management has let the quality of the hotel go down. It was noisy, dirty, my request for a handicap room was not honored and no effort was made to accommodate.

Great breakfast! Could not be better! 2 small nits to pick... my card was charged the first day. When I asked, I was told this was not a charge, but a hold. It was not. It was actually charged (spoke to AmEx rep... it was charged not held). Not a problem, but if it was supposed to be a hold, someone screwed up. When I told the front desk lady it showed up like a charge, she never even looked at my account on the computer. I do not know if it would have shown, but it would have looked better from a customer point of view when I was questioning it. My main concern was not that it was charged, but why it was charged on the first day. HI express does not do that anywhere else I have stayed with you. And I have done so in a lot of different places. Second thing, my room door did not always fully close on its own; most of the time, but not always. This was not really an issue except that out of almost 4 weeks there, on 2 occasions, I returned to my room at the end of the day to find the door not shut (presumably due to room service, since they had obviously been there). They need to be diligent in making sure rooms are closed when they are done. Otherwise, excellent. Will stay again on my return to the area.

We selected this property because of mostly good reviews and we wanted to use our Priority Club points to reduce the room rate. We had seen some reviews that mentioned good recognition to Prioirty Club members...well, from check-in to check-out, I would have never known I was a member! (In fact, when I asked the front desk at one point if there were any amenities for members, I was looked at as if I were crazy.) I noticed was that the toilet seat in our room was dangerously loose. I tightened it better on my own, but you would think that the housekeeping staff would have noted it and informed maintenance.
I then saw that the wide grout lines in the ceramic tile floor area had been painted over with a different color...no big deal, but it had not been done well so it looked terrible. It almost looked like a child had done it. We tried to hook up to the Internet the first night but were not able to. I called the toll-free number given for Internet issues and it was taken care of--the technician said they were having router issues and he had to reset them. Also, only one of the two computers in the business center were working the entire time of our stay.
Our room was in the very back of the hotel, along a corridor that apparently used to be open to the exterior. When this back side was closed in, a long hallway outside the rooms was created. Our second night at the hotel featured three young children from a family in the room next door to ours, running up and down the hallway laughing and screaming between 1:30 and 2:00 in the morning! First I was going to open the door and say something to them or their parents, but I decided not to cause any issues. Just when I picked up the phone to notify the front desk, their parents called them into their room. At least the beds were nice and comfortable when we were able to sleep.
Upon check-out, the front desk did not offer me a receipt. I stood there waiting maybe 20 seconds before I asked them for one and was told that I would have to go to the website and request one. This is something I have never been told in any stay at IHG properties in the past.

I am a frequent visitor to this hotel and.........would never entertain any thoughts of staying elsewhere. Seldom have I experienced any problems, but, when a minor inconsistency might occur, it was ALWAYS corrected IMMEDIATELY! Stay here, introduce yourself to Sam (mgr), tell him I sent you, and I assure you will not be disappointed!

This time our stay coincided with the Hurricane Sandy evacuation of the Jersey Shore! At check-in the lobby was crowded with people who had brought their valuables and pets to stay out the storm. (From what we see on the news many of them may still be there!) The staff managed with the impending chaos admirably and we were soon checked into our room! I'm just happy we had booked in advance. As usual we enjoyed a very comfortable stay with a hearty breakfast! Great - thank you!
