As a guest of our Holiday Inn® Rome hotels, it’s easy to explore Italy’s historic capital. With papal treasures, imposing ruins and baroque squares unfolding at every turn, the Eternal City is a living monument to the glory of ancient Rome.
Plunge into the city’s lively streetscape from our hotels in Rome, where candy-colored Vespas zip around cobbled alleyways. The massive Colosseum is a popular spot for family photos with costumed gladiators. In the neighboring Forum, crumbling columns evoke the days of Julius Caesar. Sunlight streams through the dome of the Pantheon just as it has since the second century A.D. The Vatican beckons with two iconic artworks by Michelangelo: the Pietà statue in St. Peter’s Basilica and the painted ceiling in the Sistine Chapel. The modern Metro threads its ways through archaeological ruins, delivering you to centuries-old sights like the Trevi Fountain. Toss a coin in the baroque fountain to ensure your return to Rome.
Relax into la dolce vita (“the sweet life”) when you stay in our hotels in Rome. It’s a short trip from our Rome hotels to Piazza Navona, the most beautiful square in the city’s centro storico (historic center). Here, students, priests and jetsetters alike gather for the traditional evening passeggiata (stroll). Our Rome hotels are also near Trastevere, a medieval neighborhood humming with restaurants and bars. Try original Roman dishes like fried artichokes and spaghetti alla carbonara, rich with bacon and eggs, in alfresco cafes on narrow cobblestone alleyways.

As with all good brands you should know what to expect and I was not disappointed by my stay here. The staff were friendly and professional, the public areas clean, tidy and comfortable and the room[More]
was a good size with all the facilities you might need - electrical connections, TV, WiFi etc. the bathroom was clean and a good size.
Couple of points to mention. The WiFi is a bit slow and struggles with high data content streaming/downloads. I stayed in an Executive room on the 3rd floor and was surprised at the amount of noise I could hear from adjoining rooms - guest booking a rental car from his mobile phone is an example. However he was very loud! I would stay here again despite that, on the basis it is convenient for the airport and where I need to be when in Rome on business and I slept well. [Less]
While the hotel and grounds of this facility were very attractive and modern, and the hotel had the feel of a quality Crowne Plaza, the location of the hotel in Rome was not as good as one might[More]
like. The nearest underground station was not within reasonable safe walking distance, the shuttle schedule to central Rome locations was not as useful as one might like (a taxi would often be needed one way...), and the neighborhood of the hotel was not very interesting and attractive. There were hardly any off campus restaurants and shops within reasonable and safe walking distances. There was little opportunity to explore without the use of shuttles and taxis. [Less]
