Enjoy a warm Kiwi welcome at one of our Holiday Inn® Auckland hotels right near the airport. You'll soon slip into the easy-going style of this green, island-dotted New Zealand city, whether you’re trekking volcanic Mangere Mountain or hitting the hotspots on Karangahape Road.
Our hotels in Auckland are close to volcanic Mangere Mountain, where you can walk in the footsteps of Maoris and take in far-reaching views over Manukau Harbor from the crater rim. Just across the water are fine coastal trails to relaxing coves like Wattle Bay. Our Auckland hotels are near the lake-strewn Auckland Botanic Gardens, with free guided walks on Wednesdays. In central Auckland, peer down at city skyscrapers from the SkyWalk, where you can take an adrenalin-fueled stroll atop the needle-thin Skytower. Or see tattooed Maoris perform the high-energy haka dance at Auckland Museum. Kids love the waddling penguins at the Antarctic-themed Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World.
It's a quick hop from our Auckland hotels to the center, where you can shop in department stores and boutiques on colonial-era Queen Street. For gifts with a Polynesian twist, browse the stalls at colorful Otara Market on Saturday morning. The yacht set dines alfresco on fresh fish and spicy Pacific-Rim cuisine in Viaduct Harbor, set against the backdrop of the Skytower illuminated. The Parnell and Ponsonby neighborhoods are peppered with restaurants serving modestly priced French, Italian, Thai and Japanese. If you're in a party mood, make a beeline for Karangahape Road, where upbeat bars, cafes and good-value take-away joints vie for your attention.
Book a room in our Holiday Inn Auckland hotels in spring to see city parks in full bloom and performing arts at the Auckland Festival. When temperatures rise in summer, head to Auckland's South Pacific beaches.
Leave your car at Holiday Inn Auckland Airport when you jet off with our Stay, Park and Go Package. This great value rate includes a nights hotel accommodation, parking for 21 days and return airport transfers for 2 adults.
Much of city life revolves around the yacht-filled Waitemata Harbour, a 10-minute stroll from Crowne Plaza Auckland. Admire Harbour Bridge and the volcanic Rangitito Island during a cruise of the glittering South Pacific, or strut with the so-cool crowds at bar-lined Quay Street.
We stayed here two nights due to an late arrival flight and early departure. Hotel is not within walking distance from airport but the transfer bus (yellow bus) worked smooth.

Since we like to stay activated on our vacation we got nice surprised by the well-equipped and newly renovated gym.
Since I wanted to surprise Mrs with something special I booked King room with SPA which basically meant whirlpool in the room, though flight got delayed we didnt have time to test this until final night - but to our big disappointment we could not get this to work at all. [Less]
The bed was soooo comfy. Very luxurious. The value for money was great and also good to be able to have 2 adults and 2 children in the same room, very hard to find. My preference for location is the[More]
viaduct area but Crown Plaza was pretty good location and multiple access from car park great and only $10 parking during weekend! I also prefer to have a balcony but once again great value for money.
