Overall, the room was very clean and well kept with all the basic amenities needed for a basic overnight stay. There were plenty of plugs available in convenient locations for charging multiple[More]
phones, laptops and iPads. More so than I have seen in other hotels. The only thing I would have liked to have was a chair other than at the desk for reading etc. However, given the size of the room that may be a challenge. In general, the value was very good. [Less]
The hotel location is fantastic! You are very well situated for easy walking to/from Grand Central, American Girl, Time Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and Restaurant Row. You will[More]
have quite a walk to Central Park, Metropolitan, American Museum of Natural History, or Intrepid Museum (though we did make that long walk to/from) so a taxi ride is better option to save time and energy.
The rooms are very tiny. It is a very tight squeeze for a family of four but the hotel does make good use of the space. It would be nice if the TV was mounted to the wall to add some dresser top space. I’d rather have the space than the huge TV. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom is relatively good size and allows you good movement for one person. Counter space is limited but sufficient. We knew the rooms were small going in but we picked this place for location. Room was clean and done when we got back each day.
We were located on the 4th floor facing the street. We actually liked the lower floor as it allowed us to take the stairs. One of the elevators was not work for the first day but was fixed. We had a room with window which I would recommend. We did not have any issues with street noise though the A/C was running as the room was a bit warm and stuffy. The floor was quite. No other room noise.
Check In/Out was uneventful as one would hope. We were 1 hour early for check-in but they were able to get us a room rather than wait. Staff was very responsive in bringing extra towels and other toiletries. Staff was friendly.
The breakfast offering was good though seating space is limited so we took it back to our room. The included breakfast is a huge perk for this hotel considering how expensive eating in NYC can be for a family of four.
